((Heike and Nadja have been out searching for Fluer ever since she vanished with her brother. The horrible suspicion that her brother may have been the one to take her away is horrible and something they probably wish they weren't considering...but...it's not like it's unheard of you two, is it?
They picked up the Leveret, Zulimar and brought her with them. Together, they've managed to track her scent all the way to the Palace of Spades, and are about to track it inside. A carriage rode out as they were coming in and Heike got the awful feeling that some of Fleur's scent might have been on that carriage...but I'm sure he'll think about that later...
Somhairle found herself outside of the Palace, on her side, swollen and miserable and feeling as though he had been beaten in the face. His entire body is pained and feels so weirdly tight and freakish...what's going on? The rain is really pouring down, but- Are those Rabbits sneaking along a few feet from him? Maybe he should check it out...
The sky is grey and dull with the rain and it doesn't look like it's about to let up...they should all get inside though...it doesn't feel right out here...))

He had a bad feeling. That was a bit of an understatement, really, considering all of the circumstances that had led him this far. Fleur had disappeared, and he was starting to think the worst of it. Was it possible that her brother had gone and done something stupid? He seemed like a sensible boy but... Heike had ran off with his sibling so it didn't seem like much of a stretch did it now? Except Fleur was a Doe. Which made things far more complicated. They had picked up another leveret on the way. He never expected to make it to a place so close to Cards. What was the Doe doing here? And how had she managed to get this far? His ears pulled back when the carriage passed by. Oh he truly hoped that smell was just his paranoia. The rain didn't help things much. It looked like it was going to stop soon, but everything just seemed so off. "Let's get inside," he said as he glanced at the gates. Where were all the Cards? "She might still be around here, and I doubt she would be in the rain."

Could Shelby really have taken Fleur? They had both seemed so much more sensible than to run off together like that... but, Nadja glanced to Heike, it wasn't as it were impossible either. Had he turned Jack and stolen his Leveret sister it might have been a different story, but taking a Doe... what if he had turned Jack? What if there was so much more to all of this than they could understand? And the fallback on their tiny warren was terrible. If nothing else, they had at least managed to acquire a new Leveret along the way. Quite fortunate for them in the case that they were ultimately unable to locate Shelby, which was beginning to seem more likely by the minute. They'd been traveling for what seemed like eternity and now it was not only raining but they'd found themselves at a terrifyingly huge Card dwelling! Why would they come here of all places? A carriage rattled by, pulled by two huge cards, and then they were left alone in the silence of the pouring rain. She shivered, nudging up closer to Heike. Inside? It seemed like a horrible idea with all the Cards around but there were very few alternate plans. She nodded. "Yes, sir." She'd only taken a couple steps after him when she thought, very briefly, she had seen movement nearby. Something red? She couldn't be sure through the constant deluge.

Somhan avoided violence stringently for his entire life but he had clearly gotten into a fight with something and lost, because there was no other explanation for the misery he was in. Everything hurt. He felt swollen and sick, like the feeling of having eaten too much on hyperdrive. He might have suffered blunt force trauma to the face. And worst of all, he seemed to be not at all near his warren. He was in front of some monstrous structure carved from hideous stone, tall as the sky and imposing. Rain beat down on him like tiny fists. He struggled to push himself to his feet, whimpering in pain, and managed to find one small spark of hope--he thought he saw other Rabbits, a few bright shapes in the darkness, just a little ways away. "Hey," he sputtered out, moving toward them awkwardly, every motion making something twinge. "Do you--do you know where we are? I think I'm lost."

This was fucking ridiculous. She was stuck following the Avington Pinheads around while they looked for some rabbit named Fleur - who the hell names their kid Fleur, for real? - who they apparently lost and she was, for some reason, stuck following them around sniffing her out. Her snippy, under-her-breath comments didn't seem to phase either of them, or they were ignoring her, or something of the kind - not that she really wanted to get the Jack's attention anyways, what did she care? - so she started slowly hanging further and further back, hoping to be able to get lost. That is, until they stumbled across a drenched, pathetic-looking mop of a Leveret. Fantastic! Now not only was she stuck on some ridiculous quest in the sopping freaking rain, she got to do it with a smelly, beat up Morganberry. Fuck her life.

Heike found himself staring at the palace blankly. There really should have been more cards around. They shouldn't have been able to walk around like this with no trouble. His ears twitched at the sound of a voice.
Peering over his shoulder with mild worry still on his face he was surprised to see a brightly colored... rabbit? What was going on today? He made an uncomfortable sound as he turned around fully moving closer to the figure in the rain.
"One of the Card Palaces...." he said after a moment. He didn't know which one and he didn't particularly care. They were all large looming and rather gaudy creations that he found rather hideous.
There was a nagging feeling of distress still gnawing at the back of his mind. He could still smell Fleur very faintly, she must have been around here.
His ears twitched when he noticed how awkward the Morganberry seemed. "Nadja, Zulimar, help him out. I'm going to go ahead to see if there's a way inside so we can get out of the rain." Without another word he stalked towards the gate, having confidence that his sister would keep everything in order. He wouldn't be that far away if something happened and he would most certainly be able to hear if anything went wrong.

Nadja froze as the red something turned into a very pained-looking someone and a rabbit at that! The little leveret gasped in surprise as she arrived behind Heike, touching a paw to her muzzle in sympathy for the other leveret. What had happened to him?
Something was seriously wrong here. They hadn't seen a single Card around this Card Palace yet there seemed to be no shortage of Rabbits and even Fleur's scent seemed to be leading them here. What could possibly be going on? Could the injured leveret have something to do with Fleur?
Nadja made a tiny sound of worried protest when Heike announced he would be going into the Card Palace alone but she nodded obediently nevertheless and turned to the Leveret.
"Hi, I'm Nadja... What's your name and where is your warren?" Gently she began checking him over, gingerly examining his swollen face before turning her attention to his abdomen. When she received answers to her previous questions, she would prod further: "Have you seen a Doe come through this area? A Selkie?"

Somhan didn't protest the examination, but he honestly didn't think the other leveret was going to find anything that Somhan wasn't already feeling, acutely. Still, her presence was a comfort, and he tried to answer her questions. Basic information couldn't be beyond him, no matter how wretched he felt. What in the world had happened to him? Why didn't he remember it?
"My name is Somhan," he said. "My Jack is Remmington. I don't think I...is this a long way from the lakes?" His stomach turned over in worry, and the clutching illness of pain. A Card palace. They built hideous things, worse being beaten by rain. This looked nothing at all like his homeland, his warren, his little kitchen...
Then Nadja spoke again, and he tore his attention from the unfamiliar, terrifying landscape. He felt awful having to tell her no after she had been so nice, but he forced himself to do so. "I haven't seen anyone but you all. How did you--how did you get here?"
He hoped they had a better idea than he did.

Zulimar watched the Avington Parade mutter to each other with disdain. There was something wrong with the fact that they carried on the way they did - the whole brother sister element threw her for a loop. One flopped ear tilted up slightly at her name, but that was the entire acknowledgement she gave the situation.
Not to mention the fluff on her wings was getting nasty in this stupid weather. She should be inside, where she was safe and warm, not touting along looking for some stupid lost bunny.
She turned to face the red leveret in overexaggerated movements, and raised an eyebrow at his distended figure. Someone clearly ate too much for lunch. "Magic," She muttered sarcastically to his question, and went back to staring at him. If he exploded and his lunch spewed all over her, that would take forever to get out of her fur... But her morbid thoughts were getting ahead of her.

Heike followed the faint smell of Fleur. It was still lingering around here... what was she doing in a Card Court? Had one captured her and her brother when they were out? The thought made the rabbit twitch. Cards were too stupid for things like that most of the time. Running and screaming was normally involved when a rabbit was found. But then again Fleur was a Doe and she wasn't exactly the most skilled when it came to cards.
And she would go along with her brother without hesitation.
And where were all the damn Cards?
He stumbled, nearly tripping into an open hole. Or rather, it seemed to be a cellar like structure. With a small curse he pulled himself to his feet. The smell of Fleur was all over this place... and it looked to be some sort of shelter. The fact that it was left open was a little discouraging.
Either way it was a way out of the rain.
The Jack jogged back to the group. He almost came skidding to a halt because of the rainy weather. "There seems to be a way into a underground part of this... monstrosity of a structure. It's shelter from the rain at least. Can the Morganberry walk without too much trouble?" He looked to his sister before he would start leading the way.
