((Soruis found herself on the floor of a shoppe she'd stopped into a good while ago. She was just looking at some pretty bangles! What happened?! The Capital itself seems almost deserted; darker, full of an odd spicy and ...somehow bad smell...and everything feels...incredibly creepy.
Acantha seems to have suffered the same fate, finding herself a few feet inside of a cafe' and entirely alone. The cafe' seems to have been thoroughly abandoned and the sky has gone oddly grey and blank.
Montegro and his brother Donovan were out looking for some trouble to either stop or stir up...when the sky seemed to go dark and they blacked out. They've been wandering around ever since waking, trying to see if they can't make heads or tails of the situation.
All are within a few streets of one another and no one else appears to be around at all...
Your goal is to find one another and then see if you can;t locate the source of an odd ticking noise...very much like an old clock sounding out across the streets. Good luck.))

The disgruntled feline-looking mouse struggled weakly to rise, hating the leaden limbs that refused to cooperate and lever the tantalizingly sparkling bangles back to eye level. Suits. She'd probably never admit aloud that she'd wished she'd taken Cauter with her, but the yearning desire lingered, un-uttered, in the vaults of her mind. A desire that she would remember and come back to in a day or so, perhaps. Right now she was preoccupied with the drive to move her distinctive lilac, yellow and white fur away from the insidious spicy scent that threatened to permeate her coat, as she idly wondered at the lack of insistent males offering to lend a (largely unwanted) helping hand. Usually, she had to fend the Cards off with scornful words while she disdainfully picked herself up off the floor. Men, thought Souris in a right snit, unwilling to admit that she actually needed the assistance to get up off the floor.

The sound of soft, pleasant ringing and chiming noise of tinkling glass suddenly came to a halt. Glancing around sharply she took in her new surrounds, most definitely not liking what she found. She seemed to be in a cafe' of some kind . . . all alone. Stomping her foot she glared at her surrounds. Seriously, one minute she was looking at her jewelry collection and the next? She was here. Wherever here was. All she knew for sure was that it was not where she wanted to be. It was also horribly . . . dark here. Not to mention there was this order in the air. Crinkling her nose in disgust. Glancing over her should her watched as her Tove, Blitz, hovered there, always close to her. Turning back to the room at large she narrowed her eyes. "Anyone in here?" She called out, making her voice sing-song like. When no one answered she gave a small pout. Not that she had been expecting a different answer anyway.

Montenegro blinked in confusion, trying to fight off the sense that he was dreaming. Everything in him felt leaden, heavy, and it seemed to take far more effort than usual to even walk. His chained leg was always a bit of a hinderance, but it seemed worse right now, somehow, as though it would strangle him. His ears turned, as though in slow motion, trying to catch the sound of something real, but either he simply wasn't processing it, or there wasn't anything real here.
A perturbing thought.
Donovan shook his head violently, beset by the same condition as Monte, but less willing to simply put up with it. His head was up and he peered through windows and up and down the streets. How could a simple eclipse-- though he hadn't thought there was one due-- cause them to pass out? Perhaps Monte, his brother was, after all, far weaker than himself, but not him. He was sturdy and robust and handsome.
He thought he caught sight of someone moving in a shop. Finally.
"Donovan," Monte's voice interrupted his thoughts, and the ferret turned a sharp glance on his equine brother. But the black colt's head was facing down one of the side streets. "I think someone just called out."
"Good," snapped his brother. "Go find out who it is and bring them back here. Do you understand? Right here."
Monte's head drooped and he nodded to show that he did, indeed, understand then he shuffled awkwardly down the street, trying to locate the young, female voice he had heard.
Donovan pushed open the shoppe door, his eyes immediately zeroing in on the mouse. His relief at finding any other Card beside himself and Monte was immense. "Hello," he said, immediately putting on his young, helpful face; it seemed to do the best with these older Cards. He was going to say that he and Monte were lost, but the Yarrow seemed to be. . . stuck. Man, she was older than he thought, then. "May I be of assistance to you?" he asked as innocently as he could.

Souris, caught by surprise, almost failed to snarl at the beautiful triple mix that offered help, swallowed, hard, and played the helpless damsel. "Yes, please", she answered crisply in the affirmative, rather than risk injuring the young, fragile ego. Intent on owning the lithe graceful male, she shunted aside her screaming, feminine pride, and stretched forward a graceful, furred limb in a silent appeal. After all, ageism cut both ways. An older, more experienced woman...well.
He was young and fresh, and she suspected could own him with feminine wiles, if she so chose. She smiled beatifically, acting slightly demure, the better to tantalize. She was not helpless, and she was not a damsel, and she wasn't in distress, but she was willing to further the misunderstanding. She could always disillusion him later, if he proved recalcitrant, she told herself.
In the meantime, she'd grit her teeth and let him help her off the floor.

Having searched all of the dimly lite rooms that she was willing to bother accessing, Acantha declared that her search had turned up nil. Why in the world . . . ?
Not one to dote on the insanities of those around her she started at her trusted Tove while she tried figuring out what to do next. There was not too much in here that was going to hold her interest for too long . . . and she probably widen her search to see if for some reason to see if others were around elsewhere. Or at least that is what her sister would probably had decided they needed to do.
Giving a huff she made her way back into the room where she had first appeared. The only other place would be to go outside. Glancing out the window she quietly muttered to herself. That sky looked awfully horrid -- and it would be just her luck if it started to rain.

Donovan blinked, baffled for just a moment when he thought he saw open hostility on the face of the mouse, but, no, she was smiling quite beautifully now and he was surely mistaken that she could have looked so. . . angry.
He quickly reached out to help her up, using all of his strength to aid her. She was. . . surprisingly light for her age, actually, the child thought. "Do you have any idea what's happening?" he asked as politely as he could. "My brother and I are rather confused."
Monte pricked his ears, trying to pinpoint just where he had heard that voice. His head swayed one direction then the next uneasily. He had no idea where she was at. A flash of white caught his eye, however, and he turned to see a Highlander emerging from a cafe. He heaved a sigh of relief and shuffled towards her. "Uhh, hi?" he called out. "Are you, uhh, okay?"

Giving a disgruntled huff - though it was most lady-like to be sure, she finally decided to make her way outside. Sitting here was not going to do her any good honestly. Not like there was anyone currently occupying the shop to service her if she had decided to stay anyway.
Throwing the door open she eyed the bell that hung over the doorway. It seemed that it was off a key too. Poor thing, it was probably from being banged around so much. Giving a small shake of her head to chime back to it, she turned around . . . and came to an abrupt stop.
She had found someone. . . or at least she was sure it was a someone. She - or at least she had assumed so till she heard it talk - seemed to be of some Torquehelm, Josiggy Marsh mix, or some such unfortunate blend.
"Hi" She replied a little standoffish. "I'm good. You?"

Monte's head came up in surprise at her almost hostile response to his greeting. She seemed very calm and relaxed for all that everyone had disappeared and they were all alone in a strange grey-skyed world. The little mix was only calm himself because Donovan was so calm and, well, himself about the strange newness that they had been thrown into.
He cleared his throat uneasily, deciding that since Donovan told him he couldn't lie worth anything, he may as well tell the truth. "I'm kindof freaked out," he admitted. "Everyone seems to have vanished but us, and the sky looks all weird, and it smells really funny everywhere." His ears flattened and his head dropped uneasily, afraid he was going to get snapped at for speaking his mind. He hurried on and tried to cover it up. "Donovan told me to look for people?" He didn't mean to add the lilt at the end. "In case, they, uhh. I guess, so we can all stick together?"
