Qwin gave a happy little chirp. She could have hugged the girl if she had a proper sent of appendages besides wings. One day she'd have a proper set of arms like her Daddy, and maybe then she would give her friend a hug.
She drooped a little. Of course now they had to say goodbye. Though maybe she could drag this out a bit longer? She could at least walk back to the girl's home, right? And it was only the polite thing to do. She hopped off of the playground equipment and glided over to the girl.
"I can at least walk to your home with you. I'll leave from there since its closer. And that way I'll be less likely to get lost." A bashful grin flashed across her beak. Even though she knew her way to the Court she was a little paranoid about getting lost in the gardens. "And thanks... a lot for being nice to me."

As far as Lyr was concerned, the more time she got to spend with her new friend and away from her aunt, the better, so she certainly did not object to walking back before she departed.
"I could say the same to you," she said, and they began walking back to her place. She did not want to do so, but all good things must come to an end, and with the promise of perhaps seeing each other again, it was not as dreary as it could have been. She would probably feel less like this was the case as she approached the house, but for the moment, all was well. She swallowed a bit of her shyness. "In fact, I will. Thank you for spending time with me. It's nice to have a friend."
The house, inevitably, came into view. She paused at the front porch, unwilling to go in. "Be safe going home." Oh light, what if her new friend got run over by a carriage on the way home? No, she told herself. That's stupid. If Qwin could get here alive she could get home alive. She pushed those worries aside and smiled. "See you soon!"
