Peaches was bored. That was always a bad thing. This meant that she was going to get in trouble. She didn't mean to get into trouble. It just kind of happened. She strolled through the hallway, twirling her fan nonchalantly. It was an awkward time, and there was no one wandering around. Maybe she should go back to Hatter's. But she didn't want to. She wanted to do something different. But there was nothing to do, it seemed. Perhaps she should bother her daughter? Or perhaps she should go out and have a night on the town? And then she stopped in mid-step. Oh dear. She stumbled onto trouble without even trying. Then again her daughter did like to keep such horrible company. Apocalypse. This stupid magical summons she now had. A smirk crossed her face. "My goodness, running into you is quite a surprise. I thought you'd be spending your time on a little outing with Xiven."

Emeraude had been sent out of the room. Of course one of the children had messed up their plans. Just when Xiven needed to relax one of them had to foil the chance. At least it wasn't her blasted King or that horrible Yarrow.
And then things got worse.
Peaches.
There were quite a few things she could do right now. Ignore the crazy woman. Be cordial because it was her summoner's mother. Beat the woman senseless. Or just be a stupid bitch back at her. All of the options were tempting. Especially the beating her senseless.
Hearts were just annoying.
"Hello, Peaches. I didn't think you were hanging around today. I did have plans with Xiven but something came up. We're going to go out shopping later though to cheer her up." She gave the woman a cordial smile and decided to turn around and walk away.

Peaches wasn't going to watch the summons just walk away. She was bored, and this would at least give her some small form of entertainment. Even if she couldn't keep the woman's attention for that long it would alleviate the problem slightly.
She skipped forward after Emeraude. "You know how things change. And you know how often Xiven's plans are foiled."
Peaches took several large steps to get in front of the woman. "Where are you off to in such a hurry. Did Xiven put you on Xander duty again? Or maybe she's worried about Othello today...." Her fan was still whirling around as she spoke, a typical smirk on her face. "Or maybe she's screwing one of the lovers you don't approve of. You're the really picky sort... I'm surprised you haven't shown her your utter devotion."

Emeraude sighed as she swallowed her temper. There was no point getting angry at the rambling crazy woman. No one took her seriously because she was a sneaky bitch who stalked everyone... then again not many people knew she stalked them. Heaven only knew how often the creeper stalked Xiven.
She stared blankly at the woman who was spinning the fan.
She had been ignoring her until the last bit. The last bit was impossible to ignore. For the sake of her pride. "Look, Peaches, I don't really give a damn that you're related to Xiven. If you continue to patronize me I'm going to shut you up."
The green haired woman smiled brightly before giving her a glare. She took a step to the side to avoid the purple haired woman. But it wasn't that simple. It was never that simple when it came to the woman in the straight jacket. Why did she always have to be such a damn pain in the ass?
"What do you want?"

Peaches smiled. She wanted to alleviate her boredom. Or at the very least she wanted to piss off Emeraude. Why not? The woman (and she used that therm loosely) would be more than happy to see her head on a platter, even though as her mother she only wanted the best for Xiven.
And the best wasn't to be the Queen of Hearts. There wasn't a single Heart she had known to make it through the title alive. But there was no one really to take her place. Well there was Heilyn, but throwing her under the bridge was a horrible thing to do. Peaches actually liked her, which said a lot.
"I don't really know what I want anymore," Peaches said with a super sugary tone. "I used to know everything. But now I know nothing. What do you think I'm looking for Emeraude?"
She snapped her fan shut clipping it on her belt. "Actually I just want to piss you off because you think you're better than me."

Emeraude watched as the woman spoke. Her movements. Her everything. The horrible burning hatred that was building up. She hated her. She was starting to hate her more than Yarrows, only a tiny bit.
"You say one thing and mean another. You do one thing and mean another. But at the very least I understand being pissed off, because you know you're starting to make me angry." Of course she wasn't going to attack a woman who was unarmed unless she was causing a serious problem.
Which might be happening in a few moments.
"So listen, Peaches, you have until the count of five until I smack you. All you need to do to prevent this is walk away. Can you do something that simple for me? Herm?" Emeraude brushed her hair back with a smile that mimicked Peaches grin. How could someone be more annoying than the woman in front of her? Really. She didn't want to known the answer to that.

Peaches smiled back at the woman, wordlessly. Yeah. It was official. She hated this woman more than just about anything and everything that had ever crossed her path. She ranked above all the petty arguments that she had with Pale. All the people who abused her sweet daughters. Everyone who had ever looked at her the wrong way.
She was on the top of the list.
"Start counting~" she said cheerfully as she unclipped her fan from her belt. "I want someone serious to fight. Not some flighty pretty girl that my sweet and darling daughter somehow dreamed up."
This was probably one of the dumbest ideas she had ever had. And yet she was doing it anyway. So what if she walked away with a broken nose? It would fun for a little bit. And she hadn't had any proper exercise in a while... considering sex didn't really count as exercise.

This was beneath her. Beneath.
And yet she could feel the anger building up. There were plenty of reasons why she shouldn't attack Peaches. Xiven would probably be upset.... and really that was the only good reason not to attack Peaches. But she deserved it. And every once in a while she needed to be taken down a peg or two.
Or twenty.
Emeraude didn't say a word in response to Peaches comment, she simply acted. She didn't need to waste magic or anything like that on Peaches, no, she was going to do everything the old fashioned way.
With her metal tipped boots she went into a swift kick at Peaches midsection. She wasn't particularly aiming to kill, of course, she was just aiming to disable. Having Peaches on the ground begging for mercy was a satisfying image, and she figured this would be the quickest way to get to that result.

Emeraude had temporarily forgotten that Peaches was a cat. And being a cat she had the grace to pull off dodging attacks. She skillfully avoided the leg, only to counter with a bit of a twirl with her fan, aiming for the woman's upper torso.
This was a fun little game. She hadn't pissed someone off this badly in a while. Why hadn't she gone out to a bar and started a bar fight so she could get a little action?
Because it wasn't fun to go alone. And she didn't want to get Hatter involved in that sort of thing. He wasn't suited for that sort of trouble making, and she liked the things they did together anyway.
That reminded her, she needed to get something for the tea party. Cakes would probably work.
She probably should focus on the fight. The cat was ready to dodge the next blow that came her way.

Emeraude was only grazed by the weapon and she felt the effect of it. It was like a ton of bricks had "lightly tapped" her steel toed shoes. She had stumble to regain her balance.
She should have known a Heart would have this sort of weaponry. Of course a beating couldn't be simple.
"That's pretty cheap," she commented as she dodged another attack, of the fan. When Peaches had finished her swing she used the opportunity to throw a proper punch at her jaw. The woman may have been cat like but there was no way she could dodge a blow like this, especially at point blank range. "But then again you do need something to save your ass."
And when that fist made contact with the woman's jaw she was going to savor it, even if it only lasted seconds as she stumbled backwards to holder her mouth with one hand and counter with another.
