It took all of Remi's willpower to keep from making pathetic noises as they stepped out of the alley and Ichigo went about bandaging him. He would do what he could to assist. There were people everywhere now but he wasn't going to bleed to death or get an infection and that was all that really mattered.
He nodded to the others as Josephine began making introductions, thankful that he didn't have to do the talking just yet.
Nethan smiled gently as the others emerged from the alley. He handed over the first aid kit without complaint and introduced himself as time for introductions came but his focus was mainly on Othello for the time being.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Othello, though I'm very sorry to hear you've been drugged." He had retrieved some cloth from the box and was going about brushing the poor mix off when a terrifyingly manic woman appeared on the scene. He might've found her confused expression comical but his attention was caught by the way she stumbled in obvious pain and flailed in blatant panic.
Had she been drugged as well? Assaulted? Though the Josephine girl had mentioned a crazy disappearing woman. "I'm Nethan, I'm with them--" Before he could say anything further she suddenly turned on Othello and attacked. Oh Odom! What was going on!? "Wait, miss, wait! Stay your sword!" He jumped to pull the boy out of the path of her wild swing (13). "He isn't a Lowlander, he was attacked by one!" Though, he hadn't really considered the possibility of it until just then. Even so he couldn't stand by idly while she attacked unprovoked.
Remi paused as Resta appeared once more, stumbling and looking a little more unhinged than when she'd left. "Hi Resta." He offered blandly, head tilted to the side as she sneered at him. "The horse ran off." And... Oh, look at that. She was attacking the new guys.
Whatever. At least the bipedal guy was being productive.

Josephine was suddenly confused to find something pointed at her. Resta had returned like the devil or something. She blinked in confusion for a moment and opened her mouth to reply, but the woman didn't seem to be interested in her. Crazy was the right assessment. And here she thought Mom was a little off.
She edged closer to Remi making sure that he wasn't going to fall over or something. He seemed a bit wobbly.
---
For a moment the mouse had paused at the girl's comment. Wolf with words, could she potentially mean Thyme's crazy sister? They were all wolves.... His thoughts were derailed completely at the flailing woman's appearance. People didn't just magically appear, and he had been too preoccupied with bandaging the young boy to actually have his weapon in the ready. Two properly working limbs made this night more difficult than it needed to be.
And she was suddenly attacking people. And Nethan. Oh suits! He stumbled forward, his ice scraping on the ground in protest. "Really?" he hissed. He grabbed for his weapon with his mouth, preparing for the worst.
---
Othello was starting to understand what was going on around him. Though it didn't explain why he was covered in rot and why someone had kidnapped him. He still needed to find his sibling and figure out why he could see. There was clearly something horribly wrong tonight.
Nethan was talking and then, quite suddenly, there was a woman there, flailing around. And then trying to attack him. He let out a yelp of utter confusion as he was swung at, and promptly grabbed by the bipedal dear. He raised his mechanical arm to shield himself, just in case, cursing the fact that he hadn't brought some form of protection (15). "I'm part Bog! Thomeone grabbed me! I'm the Queen of Heartth thon!"

((Resta's sword clanged loudly off of the metallic arm, raising sparks and causing her to laugh, dancing backward, out of reach and then pausing. Nearly all emotion slid off of her face as she gave the injured Ferret a small half-wave. "Hi, Remi." She muttered, before vanishing and reappearing again about three feet from Jo and slashing her sword down at the girl instead. "This Lowlander's fine, then!" The wild sword swing nicked her shoulder, Yarrow blood on the blade causing the poor girl's blood to bubble slightly beneath the surface, making the flesh on the top of her shoulder ripple.
The Josiggy Human vanished again, laughter cut off awkwardly in the middle as she simply disappeared. She remains vanished for about three minutes before reappearing, eyes red-rimmed and grinning broadly. "Here. Some supplies for you Lowland lovers to heal up a bit before I come at you again. See you soon." With another choked-off laugh, she is gone, leaving behind a small variety of potions and some bandages. The potions will cause flesh to loosely heal over, but leave dreadful scarring...at least it stops blood loss, though.
Two alley ways lie before them...other than the one Ichigo and crew just came down. One, that Horse just ran off down, it's lighter and cleaner...but do you really want to see the thing again? The other is thinner and has a bad smell...but you can see a glowing orange light over the rooftops...what's that?))

He hadn't honestly expected Resta to respond. But there she was. His head tilted a little and he stared at her almost blankly before she suddenly appeared before them. His eye twitched slightly as she raised the sword, looking more offended than anything. She wasn't calling him... Oh, nope. Apparently the insult was directed at Josephine.
That was actually fairly funny. "Nope. Bog too." He stated bluntly as he watched the sword slash through her shoulder and the strange bubbling begin. Really? He wasn't in the mood to pretend to care, he was still in burning agony.
Resta vanished and appeared with volatile frequency, making Remi's hurt at the way her laughter cut in and out with her. Why couldn't she sit still while he was wrapping his head around the whole missing limb thing? When she returned with some supplies and threw them at him, Remi broke into a bizarre smile and chuckled. "You really are a crazy bitch." There was a little affection behind his words, or maybe it was the suppressed laughter.
The bipedal deer-wolf is frozen in pure, baffled shock so Remi pushes onto his five awkward paws and grabbed one of the potions for himself. Why not. He knocks some back and winces as he feels the stump begin to heal over. No more bleeding is nice. "I suggest everyone do the same, you know she'll be back." It was hard not to keep laughing though he also found himself pondering what had set her so off. She'd been at least half-sane when they'd first found her. The size of the group maybe?
Remi returns to Jo with one of the potions and his expression is a bit more 'himself' as he offers it up to her. He smiles. "My leg is feeling better now, so this should help you as well."
Nethan is knocked out of his horrified trance by Remi's reminder that the disturbed woman will be back (and the fact that her potion doesn't promptly kill him). He shakes himself slightly and returns his attention to Othello. "Are you alright, Othello?" What sort of world had he been born into?
This was all so terrible on so many levels.
Once he'd finished wiping off the rest of the rotted flesh off of Othello (they did not need anyone else mistaking the bog mixes for Lowlanders!), Nethan turned to focus his concern on Ichigo and the rest of the group only to notice something gleaming in the distance. His brows knitted in confusion. "Uhm, Ichigo? What's that?" He had a vague knowledge of the world around him but... that didn't fit into it. "That's ...not normal, right?"

Othello was mildly disturbed by the woman's laughing. The sparks made him twitch backwards as he readied himself for something else. But the woman disappeared from sight, and then reappeared near the funny wolf girl.
Josephine was not prepared for the woman to suddenly appear with an insult. She felt the blade, slice through her. Her eyes widened at the searing pain, her face twisted in agony as she let out a horrified scream of, "You whore I'm not a Lowlander!"
She promptly toppled over, doing her best not to hit the person who was leaning on her. The wolf struggled not to hyperventilate. She was going to explode! Her blood was boiling! She was going to die because some nutjob thought she was a Lowlander. She didn't even look like a Lowlander!
Ichigo stood there, awkwardly holding his sword, unable to do anything to help. He at least stopped the poor wolf girl from biting off her own tongue in the agony while whatever was happening stopped. The insane woman returned, and gave them bandages along with what seemed to be potions.
The strange ferret boy was taking things well. He waited to see if he had any ill effects before letting the wolf girl go and going to scoop up a potion himself. He choked back the thoughts of "putting himself before innocents" as he took a small drink. He was still bleeding, and he honestly didn't want to pass out when a woman was randomly attacking them.
Othello blinked at Nethan for a few moments before responding. "I'm fine, I think." They should probably leave. Though what if the woman had some way of tracking them. He glanced over to the wolf girl who had been rolling around in horror, moments earlier. What had been on that sword? He snapped back to attention when the other boy helped him get the gunk off. He gave the boy a gracious thank you.
Josephine twitched when Remi offered her the potion. She wiped a bit of drool off of her face. Apparently she wasn't dying? She struggled to catch her breath and mutter. "Thank you." She took the potion with an embarrassed look. When she was finished she gave the boy a rather angst filled look. "I'm happy my mom's a liar." She pulled herself up with a whimper. Suits.
The mouse paused when he was addressed. He glanced over to the direction where Nethan and pointed. "Not in the slightest," he said with a furrowed brow. "I think that would be the best place to investigate. It might mean there are people around here besides... that woman."
He frowned a bit as he gathered up the children. He Nethan and Chandra could get going, at the very least. Though Othello didn't seem to protest.

((The group ought to choose an alleyway and progress as best they can... Ichigo hasn't healed up fully, the potion doesn't appear to have been strong enough, but at least the wounds have mostly closed. And Jo...Jo seems to be feeling a little dizzy...and a little ill. Oh, no...hope that Yarrow blood doesn't do anything to her! It wasn't more than a few drops!))

Nethan was relieved to see that everyone seemed to have fared well after that mad Resta attacked. What a terrible woman. Mad like that terrible woman he was born of! Guh. He was glad to go anywhere that she may not be.
Remi offered Jo a warm smile. "You're welcome. I'm glad she is too, it'd be unfortunate to have you explode." He gave her a cheerful nudge, watching as the still-wounded mouse gathered up his unusual little group and started them on their way toward the ... strange glowing over the roof?
Remi didn't personally like the look of the orange glow or the foul smell but really it was probably better than waiting for Resta to pop back in and give Jo another slashing with her Yarrow-coated sword. What a pity, Resta was an intriguing psychopath. "I think that Ichigo guy has the right idea. Why don't we tag along?"
Content to allow the other group to lead the way, Remi meandered along at his own pace with Jo. She wasn't looking too good, to be honest, and he was more than willing to allow the others to stumble into whatever danger may be laying ahead. Hmph. Along the way he nosed around the alley, attempting to find something potentially useful. After that encounter with the stupid horse, he felt the need to be prepared. Bottles were good but something a bit harder to shatter would be even better.
Garbage, a dirty needle, more garbage, another pile of broken bottles. Ah! There we are! Apparently someone's fence had been broken down and they'd tossed the shattered remnants out into the alley, one of which gleamed ominously with a spike of rusted nails. Perfect. He plucked the shattered piece of plank out of the mess and tugged it along cheerfully. He'd like to see someone else try and take one of his legs.

The mouse still felt awful. Then again he never expected the potion to work the whole way. It probably had to do with how long he was running around with hastily bandaged wounds. He needed a doctor, but he needed to find Thyme and help these poor children. So he led the party down the alley towards the glowing roof tops. The smell was awful, but it could have been much worse. And they had few options. He kept an eye on everyone as they proceeded. His weapon was loose, just in case, and he did his best to be quiet. Of course, his ice claw ruined that.
Hey prayed that the source of the light wasn't someone hostile. They were starting to get pretty close, and he would be a dead give away.
Othello quietly followed the group. Glancing around the alley as he went. It was so strange seeing things in real time, and what if the strange woman came back? What if she was following them? Anxiety bubbled up as he walked, the mental scraping the ground as he went. He needed a weapon. There wasn't much around in the dirty alley way. Broken glass, boxes, nails. Most of it was simply trash that he was far too hesitant to touch. Though he did pass by a hammer, which he snatched up just in case. He didn't know what good it would do against someone who could disappear at will, but it made him feel better.
Josephine dragged her feet. "Yeah," she said to Remi as she watched the group collect themselves. Was that mouse really the one that Auntie Thyme was friends with? She leaned on Remi, looking terribly. Maybe she was going to explode. "That sounds like a plan."
The world wanted to spin. She dragged her feet along and followed the group as best as she could. She was in a dirty place, filled with awful things, and that stupid bitch could show up any moment. She just wanted her Mommy and Daddy to make her feel better. And Saffron. Her sister would have been a good person to have around right now.
She watched lamely as Remi picked up a make shift weapon. "Nice.." she commented as she wobbled a bit, bumping into the wall.
Ichigo paused, fairly certain that if he took a few more steps he would be able to see the source of the light clearly. He motioned for everyone to stay a little bit further behind him.

(( As they plod on, the sound of shouting and horrible cries meet their ears. What's going on up there?! The orange glow has gotten nearer and gives off an odd hum the closer they get. Jo will begin to feel a bit punch-drunk as the poison enters the main line of her blood-stream, it will be mostly evident in her stumbling walk and inability to focus...she may even start to feel dizzy. The glow comes further into focus as they peek around a corner to witness a scene of complete chaos.
A tall Lowland Weasel is attacking a Torque Cat while a Human man with an eye-patch and sword looks to be preparing to kill a child! Remi only just avoids stepping into a pile of horrible gore filled with shattered glass...and something odd... It looks like a ribcage, but...it's made of glass? Looks like it would fit him and all. He can either keep it, ignore it, or put it on. There's something else in there, in another pile of gore topped with what is clearly the top half of a child's head...is a large form, breathing, but unconscious.
ID: SD486 Name: ---- Suit: Diamonds Rank: Eight Gender: Male Animal: Canine (Bat-eared Fox) / Bird (Cuckoo) Region: Morganberry/Forest of Kahmden/Tulgey Wood Dealer: Sera Parents: Fate x NPC
Notes: This strange child appears to be part Hisstor, but in actuality, it has inherited rare Morganberry flames! These flames will burn unless the poor thing whispers out like a light wherein they will be doused for 7 hours. The flames burn incredibly hot, thus exposing bits of his skull and tailbone! He was born at the age of 19, a full adult and has knowledge of common Card practice, culture, and belief, and is of average intelligence, though he has a proficiency with making blown glass. He feels awful for what he did to his Mother, and even more hate for what killed her; this damn war! Josiggies and Lowlanders alike are on his list of enemies, though he'll be kinder to Josiggies, considering his origins. Though he appears to have no eyes, he can see perfectly well. This baby is a cosplay of Griffsnuff's character "Stewie". Basic design credit goes to her for pure awesome.
Basic Magical Ability: He can act charismatic and persuasive at times, whether or not he actually has the natural charm and grace to pull it off. Moderate Magical Ability: When activated, he can decipher up to two languages of the player's choosing. These languages are in addition to the common tongue and the Diamond house language. Strong Magical Ability: When activated, he can cast a lie-detector spell on a Card of the Suit of Hearts and of a Rank lesser or equal to his own, once per day. Cards of equal Rank would be aware of the spell, but Cards of lesser Rank would not.
Remi finds...
Fate's Ribcage: Eew, all covered in organs, if it was cleaned off, I'm sure it would br pretty. Could fetch a pretty penny if you're careful with it. If it's placed on, PM the Admin.

Josephine wasn't doing as well as she had hoped. She had a small feeling that she might explode anyway, and that the wobbling and weaving was a good sign of that. He feet weren't working right. Things seemed wrong. She paused in her movements to lean heavily on the wall. The wall was nice. It stood still, unlike the rest of the world. It was kind of funny. Hey, was that... a dead thing that Remi was about to step in? Ha. That was kind of icky.
Ichigo was in no condition to actually be useful. Especially when they happened on complete and utter hell. He gripped his sword, but it wouldn't do him any good if he couldn't make it to help. He was currently only working on two proper legs, he was still bleeding a bit, he honestly felt like hell, and he highly doubted Spade speed would be a good idea. He could blind everyone, but that required getting their attention. And he still had the children to think of.
Suits be damned, this was his worst nightmare incarnate. He was practically helpless when people needed saving. He pressed against the wall and hissed, "Everyone just stay quiet." He had failed to notice what Remi had stumbled on, completely distracted by the battle going on outside of the alley.
Othello was throughly terrified, and let out a surprised yelp when he saw everything. He liked his normal sight better. At least he knew that stuff wasn't "real" like people claimed it was. This, this was real, considering the amount of noise and fail that was going on. He backed up into the young wolf girl, who promptly flopped on her bottom with a confused expression.
"What do we do?" he whimpered as he continued to stare at the chaos with wide terrified eyes.
