Eir hissed another few choice curses as the stupid little child wouldn't even stay still long enough for him to smoosh it. Why wasn't anything behaving today?! He twisted his head one way then the next trying to figure out exactly where the stupid thing had gone and finally spotted it skittering back behind him a ways.
The stallion swung his tail at the ferret, a tail that was-- conveniently for the Yarrow-- also invisible, just like his hindquarters, so hopefully the evil little beastie wouldn't even know he was being attacked until it was too late. If he could just stun the stupid little thing, he knew he could finish it off before any of the others jumped back on his back or otherwise attacked him. That would show them all for attacking him when he wasn't paying attention! One dead ferret, coming up; yum!

((Resta gave the Bird a look that could have melted steel. "I beg your pardon?" She asked sardonically, sword swinging in an arc to meet the halberd. "That thing eats people, if my distraction methods disturb you, then leave, but first allow me to destroy it." The screech the Ferret gave as the Equine lifted him into the air brought a sarcastic grin to her face. "Heh, really. Amazing job you're doing." The halberd will give her a cut on the arm if he thrusts with it, but otherwise, she vanishes again. This time, she does not reappear at once, seeming to be gone, quite completely. Eir's bite, though the adrenaline rushing through Remi seems to have stemmed the pain for now, very nearly severed that limb he had a hold of...it'll hit him like a brick t the face when he calms down. One more like that could very well take it off.))

It wasn't until Remi was clear of the hooves and searching for a weapon that he really began to notice the pain in his arm. It started briefly at first and then grew more intense until the throbbing was nearly unbearable. He took a deep breath and attempted to wiggle the limb. It responded, barely. His stomach lurched and his mind reeled.
Thankfully he wasn't allowed to dwell on his horrible realization for very long before a strange rush of air caught his attention. Movement? An attack? He hissed but there was nothing there. Except, apparently, there was. A solid wall of air crashed into him, knocking the wind out of him as he went sailing across the alley. (2 for avoidance)
He must've momentarily blacked out from the pain and loss of breath because he was suddenly no longer moving. (19 for landing) He rolled, briefly dazed, and was greeted by a wild flurry of white. For a moment he thought he might have been dead but, if that were the case, he certainly hoped it would stop smelling like filth and urine. The tiny ermine rolled over and vomited.
As he stumbled out of the paper-stuffed bag of trash that he had managed to land on, the ferret felt something slice into his paw. Another bottle? He turned a sharp scowl on the horse. Now was the time of his vengeance. Disregarding the little nicks he received, Remi swept the pile of broken glass together and sent a jettison of glass-laden water rushing back at his enemy. (14)

Josephine was suddenly face first in the street, and her nose was very much bleeding. She let out a small whimper as she tried to drag herself away from the nightmare behind her. Urgh.
Othello almost stepped on something that squeaked in loud protest. He stared for one long moment as he scooped up the bright blue creature with his mechanical hand. What was this about? The little creature gave him a loud squawk of disapproval before jumping out of his hands and running back out of the alley.
He followed it, a confused expression on his face when he saw other cards. Maybe they would tell him where he was? "Help?" he lisped with a tilt of his head.
---
The mouse was not encouraged by his mome shooting back out of the alleyway. She hurried back to his side, hiding behind his ice leg. At least she was able to get away whatever was there.
And then a boy popped out of the alley. A confused boy with strange mist coming off of him. He was suddenly asking for help. The mouse turned to the boys--young men really--and stated, "Stay there, for now."
Taking a deep breath the mouse made his very loud march towards the alleyway. His ice scraping against the cobble stone in the most hideous of ways. He readied his sword to the best of his ability.

The stallion didn't immediately move to dodge the water because it was water, and that would be a paltry attack to throw. His instincts, however, still had him moving and that deep, subconscious part that made him a hunter. The little ferret was tricksty, after all. In the end, pain ripped up and across his shoulder (6), the same one that stupid Josiggy had cut earlier.
The Yarrow snarled, and he rushed back in towards the ferret. He snapped at the dangling leg, lashing out once more with his feet, and with a sharp jerk of his head, took to his hooves. (18)
A scraping sound at the mouth of the alley warned the stallion, even if he hadn't been done with this farce anyway. He was going to retreat, heal up a bit, then hunt down that bloody Josiggy and eat her slowly, piece by piece. In the meantime, he would make do with the leg that had come off to ease his pride.
The Heart plowed down the alleyway, past the Cards there, and went to make himself scarce in the Capital until things died down and he recovered.
(( As per admin orders, Eir is now leaving this thread! *salutes you all!* ))

Remi's grin became disturbingly wide and sadistic as the stupid horse practically stood and let the water flush over him. The snarl was satisfying, proved he'd done the damage he wanted, and he sneered back at the horse. His victory was short lived. The horse rushed him before he could properly react and the screaming pain in his leg denied him any chance of swift and proper movement.
He stumbled as he attempted to run and the horse caught his leg in those horrible blunt teeth, jerking up and... away.
Remi couldn't help the scream. All of his training containing and channeling his emotions and reactions meant absolutely nothing in light of his leg being physically torn from his body. He collapsed against the filthy ground and curled against himself, clutching the profusely bleeding limb in agony as he watched that beast running away with his arm. HIS BLOODY ARM. When he could finally stomach the pain without being ill, he stumbled to his feet in a daze and attempted to find the cannibal bastard. He was going to kill him, he didn't care how unbalanced this fight was, he was going to kill him!
But he was gone.
Instead there was a new man, a simple gray mouse with a strange leg and a considerable amount of wounds. "Where... did it go?" He nearly hissed the words out as he flopped back on his haunches and clutched his stub once more.
--
Nethan had inched ever so slightly toward the alley. There were screams again and Ichigo was in there... He couldn't just let the injured man go in there alone..? He'd only made it a couple steps before a massive horse with a disturbingly long neck flew out of the alley in a blind gallop. He was covered in cuts and dripping blood from his muzzle and... Nethan had to stop his stomach from lurching as the thing rushed past and he got a clear look at his innards.
Not like he hadn't spent his fair share of time in a similar state of gore but watching it run by was something he hadn't expected. Urg.
"Ichigo? Is everything alright?" He hurried the rest of the way to the alley entrance, brows knitted in concern.

The mouse rounded the corner when the shriek escaped the young ferret. He caught sight of the disturbing half-a-horse pulling away the limb. A Benyan bird was in the alley with a polearm, a strange wolf girl, and the freakish boy who had been holding Orihime. He didn't particularly have time to say anything the horse charged.
He pressed himself against the wall, forcing the strange misty boy there as well, so he wouldn't be hit by the strange horse. He stayed there for a few moments afterwards, letting the boy go when he thought it was safe.
The ferret seemed to be in shock, and he was in fact missing his leg. What had he walked into. His one good ear twitched when he heard Nethan behind him. "Nethan it would be best if you stayed right there for now," he said with a polite smile, keeping an eye on the people in the alleyway. He still kept his sword half way out of the hilt, just in case. "I don't know," he said to the ferret, "You need to take care of that wound though."
He suppressed a small shudder as he picked off some rot that had transfered from the strange boy. What exactly was he?
--
Josephine was downright terrified, and shrieked when the horse ran past to her. She was practically kissing the wall when it happened. Was Remi okay?! Was she going to explode?! She saw insides when she looked up, and then there were other people.
And Remi was walking towards her. And he was missing an arm.
"Oh no!" she yelped after the mouse had addressed the ferret. "Remi! You--it--" She choked and went to try to support him. That she could do. As long as she didn't get near the spit that was probably in his wounds she would be fine, right?!
--
Othello was thrown against the wall, to his great surprise. Something large passed him. He stared at the mouse that had one icy arm. Who was he? What... where had he actually ended up? He picked off some of the stuff that was on him.
Oh suits, what was he actually covered in?
He took a deep breath and squeezed by the mouse, who simply moved out of his way. He walked out of the alley and sat next to the entrance. He glanced at the bipedal with a buck-toothed frown. "Hello, I'm thorry about this, but I'm very confussed. Where am I? And do you know why I'm covered in thith?"

Remi was shaking terribly. None of his mental exercises were keeping him together and the involuntary flush of tears dampened his cheek as he pressed his forehead against Jo's shoulder. He hated that anyone would see him like this but as the situation became less volatile and his adrenaline slowed he became more and more aware of the pain.
Though his watering eyes, Remi gave Ichigo a deadpan look. "O-obviously, Sir." He spat before his expression faltered, a child-like moment of panic flitting through his bright eyes as they dropped to stare at his not-there limb. He was loosing so much blood and he really didn't want to try stopping it with anything they might find in the alleyway. He stumbled awkwardly toward the mouse with pleading eyes, still half-clinging to Jo. "Please help me? N-Nothing in here is sanitary."
Where was that teleporting bitch? She could help. Resta could get him what he needed in the blink of an eye. Even if she didn't give a damn, she might do it for money.
---
Nethan was obviously struggling his desire to run and help. He bit his lip and bowed obediently to Ichigo. He would do as he was told and, apparently, it was for a greater cause. A boy who seemed (physically) just a bit younger than himself wandered out of the alley and gave him a confused, imploring look.
Poor black-coated card. Nethan approached him with a concerned frown. "Hi. It's okay, but I'm afraid I don't have your answers. I'm still very new to all of this... But I promise we will do what we can to help out." He hesitated and then smiled softly. "I'm Nethan, though, and my friend here is Chandra and Ichigo was the one who went ahead." He held a hand out to the misty-eyed boy in greeting. "I can perhaps help get some of that off?" He knew what it was like to be covered in flesh and it was not very enjoyable. Certainly cleaning it off would help brighten his day a little.

At least the boy seemed to have his head about him, poor thing. The mouse maneuvered out of the alley, telling the strange wolf child to help the ferret. She did so with little complaint, though she seemed to be panicking a bit herself.
The mouse took the first aide kit from Nethan, mutter in a small encouraging comment before returning to the young ferret. Despite having one hand, he was fairly decent at wrapping things up, and the young boy was willing to help, which made things go far smoother.
--
Josephine stood out of the way, supporting Remi when he needed it, and doing her best not to be a pest. She periodically glanced at the mouse. Was he the one that Auntie Thyme was friends with? There must have been a lot of Mid-Range mouses though.
When everything was taken care of with Remi she decided to start the introductions. "Thank you Mister. I'm Josephine and this is Remi. And he's Amherst. And there was a crazy lady who disappeared. I'm looking for my Mother... you haven't seen a Queen of Clubs Wolf with writing on her have you?"
---
Othello gave the deer hybrid a long stare as he tried to process what was going on properly. "It'th nice to meet you," he finally said. He brushed a bit more gunk off of his fur. "I'm Othello. I was with a group of people and someone grabbed me. I think I'm drugged." He gave them both a weak smile before nodding. "Help would be nice. I don't know what thith ith."
Well, he knew what it was, but he didn't want to think about it. That was pretty much the same thing at this point.

((As though she had been summoned, Resta appeared again, stumbling from where the Horse had nicked her legs with its teeth, and cursing. Panting, she whipped around, then slowly took another circle, sword held at the ready, eyes wide and dancing with delight. "Where's the beast? You!" She swung the sword around to point as Josephine. "Where has the bastard gone? Tell me!"
It seemed to take her a few seconds to realize that there had been an influx of people. The expression of confused surprise that crossed her face was almost comical. Her eyes finally landed on the Bipedal Deer, she raised her sword to him and eyed him up and down. "Who are you? Are you with this sad lot?" She gave the whimpering and angry-looking form of Remi a sneer. "Not with any Lowlanders, are you? No? What about this one!" She whipped forward in an attempt to slice at Othello, a smile stretching the scar across her face, eyes wide and manic. (8))
