Here we have Sabe with his new green post-taffy nose!  This is the icon version for you, Nafa. I told you I'd make one forever ago, and now it's finally done. Have I mentioned how long coloring by mouse takes me? <3 I can make a different background color or crop differently if you prefer. I wasn't 100% sure on the icon, but I thought I'd get your take on it.  |

Anyone with skills want to explain to be how to draw feathers? Because there is a strangely obvious quality decrease when it comes to the wing compared to the rest of Sabe...

When I draw feathers I usually go with a set of smaller ones (I don't know any words for avian wing anatomy, sorry...) and then increase to the longer, flight feathers on the end. I also use Google images for references to see how fur/feathers generically look. Hope that helps?

When I attempt to draw feathers I see one thing.
I have a bird in my house that would just sit there, she is a cockatoo and a love bird. I can get her to open her wings so that I can see how they are shaped and the such, ^_^.

Good idea of using a reference. But in the meantime, it's everyone's favorite walking corpse, in a new coloring style that I'm test-driving! (I drew this right after Colin soaked her with Spade water and she started talking, hence the water drips).  If you can't read what she's saying, it's "C-Cake will be... will be served" and "Bones... and not... bones...". |
