Lariel hissed when she felt his efforts at clinging to her with his claws redouble. She was just walking now! There was no need to squeeze at her hide so much. "How about easing up on those claws just a little bit. I don't need you to be a literal pain in my ass and back, thanks."
The Bobcat strained to lift her head higher. After angling past his snout, she could see the elongated tree line just ahead. They were definitely a lot larger than the local brand. Good, she didn't want to spend any more of her evening huffing and puffing while carrying a little whelp on her back. Once dropped off she'd make sure there was someone there to take care of him then skip off.
A few more minutes had passed by and the road dwindled in size. A few houses started appearing on either side of the road and Lariel looked for the 'creepy fence covered in vines'. Just as suddenly, it was there. The Bobcat halted and looked through the fence to the house behind.
"Alright, how do I get in?"

Reluctantly he loosened up his grip when he was asked, she should be thankful he'd spent the whole trip trying to keep his wings as far away from as was physically possible! He simply continued to watch at they got closer and closer to the house he spent the most time at ... even though he'd much rather live with his papa he did love his mother and, well ... didn't want to make him sad by telling him that.
Well you gotta touch the one board in the fence that's a slightly different color .... that one! Just push it with your paw and .... well, it'll open.
He wagged his tail ever so slightly as they passed through the gate and into a yard that was far different then the fence suggested. There was a myriad of roses in just about ever size and color and in the distance a house that wasn't quite complete, but far enough along to be lived in. Just had to finish up a few of the extensions and, well ... it'd be fully complete. The closer they got to the door the faster his fluffy tail moved.

She felt when his claws and grip loosened, and felt some of her muscles relax in response. Well, that was better. Touch one boar? Confused, Lariel moved closer to the fence until she could see many shapes set into the barrier. Certainly there were boars aplenty and had the little pup not pointed out the slight color difference, the Bobcat would have never known the way into the property. In fact, it was a pretty ingenious way to disguise an entrance. She'd have to remember to implement this for herself later.
Lariel pushed her paw against the discolored boar and the opening swung open. Taking a few seconds to look closely at the mechanics of this type of spring, she finally passed through the fence and stood amazed at the myriad of colored roses before her. She hadn't even known some of these colors could exist in flowers! Though the smell was overpowering and too strong this close, it was all astounding and simply breathtaking.
Remembering her burden laying prostrate on her back, Lariel moved through the forest of roses and approached what appeared to be a house under construction. She could feel a small wobbling from her lower back and guessed the whelp's tail was wagging. Well, at least they'd gotten here without any incident.
The Ranger climbed the stairs to the front door. "Is there a doorbell?" If she had to reach up anywhere, she was going to have to put him down.

There is but it's not running yet ... you'll have to knock. Now that he'd gotten used to it ... laying across the feline was actually fairly comfortable. In fact if their journey had been a truly long one he probably would have fallen asleep .... and probably fallen off at the same time but hey. At the knock on the door his white ears flicked forward with interest, he wasn't expecting anyone today and it was rare that some stranger made their way through his special gate that he'd had Maxwell help him rig up ... they just needed to fix that blasted doorbell next and everything would be fine until the house was finished ... completely. The winged hybrid put a marker in his book and set it aside, getting up from his chair and making his way to the door to see who was here. He was not a tall biped, not tall at all, but he still had to peer down at the feline and ... suits, Casanova. His ears instantly laid themselves back against his skull as he eyed the canine, and then the cat that was carrying him. By the Queens and all their ancestors .... what'd he do now? The canine had a knack for getting himself into trouble and he couldn't even imagine what the boy could have done to inspire this stranger to haul the pup all the way home ... certainly it was something awful. Another set of ears had heard the knock as well and found it curious enough to rouse from his state of being half asleep and partially conscious. He moved to the door frame of the sitting room and sat, peering at the door from a safe distance with his own little rat ears perked forward to hear that it was .... Cas getting in trouble again? Well, this could be interesting. What kind of mischief had his brother gotten into without him around to be the voice of reason today?

It hadn't been long after Lariel had knocked on the door the feline had heard steps approaching. Thank the Suits someone had been home. As much as she hated to admit it, she would have been forced to stay with the pup until someone turned up. Now that she had found someone to take care of him, it was her plan to leave as soon as possible.
Lariel was forced to look up as a Bi-Pedal form opened the door. What'd he do now? Lariel couldn't help but smile just a little at the assumption. It sounded as though this one got up to enough mischief to keep his loved ones busy. She was grateful to hear it wasn't just herself that evoked this kind of reaction out of the young Card. The Bobcat could see the Hybrid was worried though, and didn't want to prolong it.
"He tripped over his own feet, I think, and hurt his paw. It may be sprained." Lariel looked past the Bi-Pedal and into the house beyond. "He isn't that heavy, I guess, but do you have somewhere I can put him?" she asked.

So he hadn't really gotten in trouble, simply hurt himself being the clumsy little puppy that he was? Well, that was comforting in another, but more worrisome in another ... his son was injured and that made him nervous ... even if it was probably just a sprain. He held the door open and stepped to the side to allow the bobcat to enter.
Please come in then and I'll take a look ... most of the things in the house are flame retardant so ... you can put him anywhere.
He turned his head to look at the triple-breed that was lingering in the door to the other room.
Kat, be a dear and turn on the hot water so it'll be warm by the time I get there.
And without a word the full lowlander was turned and gone, heading toward the kitchen. his disappearance was soon followed by the sound of a stool moving so he could reach the sink, and then the sound of running water.
When the bobcat was through the door he shut it behind her and followed her to the other room.
Casanova just stayed quiet, laying his ears down to the side and wagging his tail gently, still unsure of whether he'd be in trouble or not.

Lariel walked slowly passed the Bi-Pedal and over the threshold. She'd been walking towards the nearest couch when the adult mentioned most things being flame retardant. The thought hadn't occurred to her that once she set the pup down he might set something on fire, so it was good to know someone had thought ahead. The Bobcat moved into the other room and carefully made her way past the furniture, pausing now and then to make sure his wings hadn't caught anything yet.
Spying a couch which Lariel prayed was fire resistant, she sidled up next to it. "Oh good lord. How are we supposed to do this." It was then she remembered she actually had help now. The Bi-Pedal would be able to slide him over onto the couch without hurting the canine as much as she would have if she'd had to do it alone.
Lariel couldn't turn around since she was pressed in by furniture, but managed to turn her head enough to look behind her. "Do you think you could grab him and slide him over to the couch?" Lariel asked.

He closed the door behind the bobcat and was already following her to the living room with the intent to assist her, she'd already been kind enough to carry his little brat here from suits knew where and he smiled softly, giving her a nod. He slid his hands under the pup and, not being able to avoid it, over her spine as well and scooped him up before setting him down on the sofa. He waited for the feline to move before he dipped down and took his son's paw in his hands carefully and looked it over, gently prodding it as well. although it was obviously painful when he put any sort of pressure in it... he didn't feel anything that was broken and breathed a sigh of relief.
He kissed the paw softly and rose to his feet, peering at the feline once again.
Nothing seems broken ... thank you for bringing him here ... can I get you anything? While I make up a dose for Cas I can send his brother in here with something .... a drink maybe?
He was very patient and still when he was placed on the couch, he really didn't want to burn anyone after all, and he remained that way through the examination until his mother squeezed his paw .... then he let out a high pitched whine of pain. He was thumping his tail softly against the couch not long after, mother was so very nice to them all ... and strangers too!
Brokat remembered this drill from when he's sprained his own paw falling off the sofa when he was younger and was busy getting all the things he thought his momma would need to tend to his flaming brother, talons clicking on the tile beneath his feet as he moved about the kitchen.

Lariel felt the Card's fingers wedge in between herself and the young pup, then nearly toppled over as the extra weight was lifted off and settled onto the couch. After getting out of the way she turned around and watched his Father examine the paw. She heard the whimpers it caused and winced slightly in sympathy. She watched him kiss the paw and frowned. The Bobcat knew her parents loved her, but she'd been brought up not to give public displays of affection such as hugging or kissing. Though she was sure she must be mistaken, Lariel couldn't recall a time she'd ever gotten a kiss from her parents.
Her reverie was interrupted, thankfully, and Lariel looked back up to the Bi-Pedal. Feeling uncomfortable in such a personal setting, she'd been about to decline the offer and leave when she realized just how thirsty that long walk/run had made her. The more she thought about leaving, the drier her throat became. Irritated with her body, Lariel grunted in defeat.
"It was nothing. He was running," she said, pausing to look meaningfully at the young canine. Deciding against telling his parent he'd been running while chasing her, she continued. "I just happened to see him fall. No big deal. Anyone would have done the same I'm sure." Though at the time she wished it had been in her to just leave him there. Again, it was just good planning to keep that sort of thing to herself.
Still....Lariel looked at the canine again with a cross between a blank and puzzled expression on her face. "I'll take a glass of water before I go. And.....I don't know his name, or yours."

His ears twitched forward, listening to what she had to say. He knew Nova had an almost unhealthy love of running that just couldn't be safely expressed here, not since his roses were his way of paying the bills. He felt a little bit more guilty now, it was because of that that the pup had to go to the city all the time and ran the risk of getting injured, or taken or ... well a whole bunch fo other terrible things that he'd really rather not think about at this present point in time. He hadn't exactly had a great time growing up on the streets of the capitol after all and he could only assume that his children, also partially Lowland, wouldn't either.
He made a step toward the kitchen to go get things ready, and send her a bit of water when her second comment made him pause and shift his gaze back, cheeks flushing a red that his fur didn't entirely hide.
Forgive my lack of manners! I'm Tavor and he's Casanova!
The puppy cheerfully interjected his own name and thumped his tail against the sofa lightly with a grin, he could certainly introduce himself! He peered at the feline once more and tilted his head to the side, curiosity crossing his features once more.
And you?
