Lariel watched the Bi-Ped finger what looked like a bone or a tooth around his neck. Mistaking the look on his face for one of apprehension, Lariel realized she'd overstepped her bounds as a guest in their home. It wasn't her place to tell other people how to raise their offspring, but the feline couldn't bare the thought of someone having to identify the mutilated corpse of the canine beside her. A shiver wracked her body from head to tail. She realized she rather have people consider her an rude bitch and take her seriously, than to just keep quiet and not be rude.
"Cool noises?" she pondered aloud. Probably the water boiling from the intense heat, she thought. "Have you ever had your wings soaked by water? If not, do you think they'd be extinguished?" The answer really didn't matter, but curiosity kills the cat and all that...

Yeah! It makes noises like .... like.. .well like this!
The pure canine thumped his tail happily against the floor as he started to make his best attempt at mimicking the sizzling noise of water hitting a hot surface. It was... difficult to do for him, not being able to hiss like a feline could and all, and he just... made himself look like a giant, slobbery idiot. He lifted up a paw and wiped the saliva from his already wet muzzle and went back to grinning like a fool.
Brokat arched a brow as his brother started to make all sorts of weird noises... and spit all over the place. Oh... suits... why was he doing stupid things like that in front of company? The triple breed sighed and dipped his head down so he could hide it under his paw. Oy ... Nova was such an embarrassment.
Tavor's dark eyes slowly regained their focus.... just in time to see his son's performance. He couldn't quite reign in the arch of his brow and the confusion that painted it's self rather plainly on his features.
What ... did I miss?

If Lariel could name one of the most weird moments of her life, this notch in time would be on that list. She didn't need to look into a mirror to see that all three of them had the same look on their faces as well as the same one eyebrow raised to their scalps. The feline watched renegade spittle droplets form around Casanova's muzzle as well as randomly arc their way through the air to the carpet underneath him.
It was a few seconds before Lariel could find her voice, and even so she had to clear her throat a few times to keep from busting out laughing. Somehow, the Bobcat didn't think the young pup would take that kind of reaction very well.
"Ahm. That was, well....a uh....informative demonstration." She had to turn her head and caught the look on Tavor's face. Nearly looking her composure, Lariel turned her face completely away from Casanova and pretended to cough. When she finally felt secure in her facial expression, she turned back around. "Casanova was just explaining to me what it sounds like when water gets on or around his wings," Lariel explained to the Biped, then turned back to the young one. "But you didn't fully answer my question. Have your wings every been completely extinguished?"
Lariel felt it was a safe question. No demonstration necessary.

At her next question he paused a moment to think back as far as he could remember .... and he couldn't think of a time when he'd gotten that wet and shook his head, completely ignoring all the odd looks he'd gotten from everyone else in the room. In all honestly he was already used to being looked at like that, and it was always when he was doing something fun so he was convinced everyone else just didn't know what fun was.
However, for a more appropriate answer, he peered up at his mama and perked his ears up.
I haven't, have I? I ... don't remember a time but you might!
Brokat could remember times he'd wanted to extinguish those wings of his brother's, and all the times he'd set various things on fire simply by walking past them ... but he could never remember the autumn hued canine without a twin set of bonfires on his back and he to peered up at Tavor for confirmation.
The rat-eagle shook his head and peered over at the bobcat.
I grew up in Corvistowne and that, with a little common sense mixed in, made me believe it probably wasn't a good idea to let that happen. It took awhile to figure out a way to wash him that wouldn't result in burns or getting those wings of his wet.
Nova flattened his ears back for a moment, just a touch embarrassed.
No one wants to hear about me being washed.

Lariel looked from Tavor back to Cassanova and nodded her head. "You're probably right. Probably not a good idea at all."
It only took that one simple sentence before Lariel could imagine quite the scene of Nova's first bath. Her brows creased together in confusion as she thought about the problem. How would someone wash the canine without burning themselves or putting out those hot wings of his?
The Bobcat had seen the look on the small mix's face and knew that Nova had probably caused his fair share of burns and fires. With time he would probably learn to control how he moved, but as a pup...
Lariel grinned as the embarrassment flowed over his face. She didn't even know he could be embarrassed before now. "Oh, I don't know. I don't think I'd mind hearing about your very first bath." Turn-a-bout was fair play. He'd caused her some headache, now she could do the same!
