Oh hai.
This is just a general apology for not being very present on the board. My muses are around and have been pestering me but I haven't much felt like writing lately.
Kinda feeling down in the dumps lately and trying to find a new job (don't worry, I didn't quit and wasn't fired... just trying to find something more interesting), and helping my friend with her wedding, and dealing with some issues in my personal life...
So yeah, I'm not sure if this is technically a "hiatus", but just letting everyone know that I may be lurking but not really in the mood to actively engage.
There's a couple threads that I'll be responding to here and there (Selkie Support Group, Lucca/Harps) and if that Trial (Jordan/Selkie) thread pops up anytime soon count me in.
Otherwise... we'll see. I may just have a case of the rainy day blues or something and I'll be dapper in a couple days, who knows?
Rambling message is rambling. Just wanted to let you guys know "the haps".
Luff to you all and I'll be back as a kick this moodiness. <3

[hugs you tight] I know exactly how you feel. It took the Event to pull me out of mine.
We'll all be here when you're ready to play! <3 Take your time working through your stuff.

Thaaaaaaaaaaaaanks, everybody!
So, I had an interview today for an executive assistant position. Not sure how I felt about it. It wasn't great, but it wasn't horrible either. I think that I'm not super into the company itself, and the person I would be answering to seemed... douchey? I dunno. On the other hand, my responsibilities with that company would get me closer to what I think I'd kind of like to do.... lots of weighing of pros/cons and all that.
My friend's wedding is in a month, so still prepping for that - though a lot of what I was given charge of is largely taken care of, which is good.
Still feeling lots of ups and downs, submitting resumes, trying to get myself on the "right" track and all that. I was saddled with a huge-ish project at work (after all this time being bored, haha), so I've been coming home exhausted and muses all but shriveled....
*flails a bit*
Just wanted to keep you guys posted! <3

Hrrrmmmss, well I think the Pros outweigh the Cons at this juncture, so good luck with having the Interview turn into a job!! <3 *crosses everything that can be crossed for you*
Besides the huge work project, I'm so very glad to hear that some things are going easier on you. Mainly the wedding things. XD
Love you!

Thanks for all the love, guys!
Now for MOAR UPDATES:
I ended up politely refusing the second interview for that assistant position. I found that I was trying really hard to psych myself up for it, which for me, meant that I was really apprehensive about the whole thing. I couldn't shake my feelings about the guy... he just made my skin crawl. The downside is, I haven't had a whole lot of luck trying to find positions elsewhere. It's only been a month or so of searching, so I'm reminding myself to be patient - something will come up. Then again, the market is ridiculously saturated right now so it makes things harder. Ah well.
Also, Recruiters are the bane of my existence. (No offense if anyone here works as one!)
This weekend is my friend's wedding! Ack! I'm a bit nervous because the bridespersons (and a few other guests) are singing the processionals... and they are in Swedish. I'm sure everything will turn out fine, but my tummy's still doing little flip-flops!
One of the fun things about this wedding is that I'll be wearing a suit, as will half of the other bridespersons (who are all female, save one and the fathers, of course). The awkward part: we had to do rentals for female-bodied persons through a regular suit rental place, which means they are MEN'S attire. I had to order a shoe size up and will have to double my socks, as they do not carry half-sizes for the boy's shoes I will be wearing because I have wee feet. LOL. I may have also bought a SWEET fedora to wear with my suit during the reception... >.> ... <.< ... ^_^
Um... yeah. So this week's going to be a little bit nuts. I've got to make sure I have the processional songs down (as I am co-director of said choir!), make sure everyone's on the same page for final group fittings, make sure the choir knows where/when to meet for practice, have a bag of goodies handy the day of wedding (hairspray, first aid kit, bobby pins, safety pins, snacks, alcohol for if anybody starts losing it during preparation flasks of "magic-happy-juice", and anything else I can think of - I just want to be as prepared as can be if Murphy strikes), and all sorts of other things.
I'm taking off work on Friday & Monday and will be busy as ALL hell.
That being all said, I'm hoping my creative juices will start flowing again once this wedding madness is over. I'll still be job-hunting, etc., but I really do hope I can get back in the swing of things here on SoD. I've missed you guys!

Ugh, that suck, but if the guy makes your skin crawl, it's probably for the best you don't work for him. Good luck with the wedding! Good show being co-director!
