Being a Queen, Sabe got excellent responses when he requested service. It took almost no time at all before Mythiril heard the tell-tale scuff of wheels on the floors of the palace. Abandoning her position right by the door with the littlest bit of reluctance, the Leveret made her her hood covered her ears and then hopped over to intercept the servant before she could enter the inner chamber.
"I'll take it from here, if you please," she said in the tone she took with the other servants. It had a bit of confidence to it that was definitely lacking when speaking with Sabe or a Jack or Doe (not that she'd seen any of the latter two for ages). But that was how it should be. Myth never forgot her place, not here or anywhere. She placed her paws on the tea service and pushed it back over to the bedroom, where she knocked on the door.
"Tea is served," she announced, and then waited for confirmation from within before she pushed the tray into the room and began pouring tea for Sabe and Aleah. There were also biscuits and cookies and little lemon squares on the tray, and Myth tried not to look at them, lest she remind herself she was hungry.

He gave the Jack Aleah a nod of approval and then sat back waiting on the lev to return back. It was rather weird to sit here before a Jack, a member of the Jack Court. It was only suiting after all. He wanted to know more about them but knew that If he pressed it that he would lose his chances forever. He gave a brief inward sigh as he thought about all the knowledge that was right here before him.
He didn't turn his head as the lev returned with trays of tea and refreshments. From what Myth had told him, and how the jack had stated that he knew that he was doing right as per a Jack could do. Though Sabe wasn't no Jack, he knew a bit to keep up with the one before him and not lose this battle of wits. He knew that a show of power and wealth was something that another Jack would see as strength. Though from what Myth had told him was that the Rabbits hid from Cards because they feared their power. Sabe knew also that Jacks horded magical objects that were not bound to a suit or rank. He had seen some rather strong magical objects in his time and thus he knew that a show of magic wouldn't do much good.
"Thank you Myth. Help yourself to some as well since this also concerns you as well." he said wondering if it would tick the Jack off at all being as he invited the Lev into the conversation as well. He turned to the Lev "Would you like to go back to the Rabbit society?" he asked her plain as day. He would use what she says to weigh what he would decide to do. He knew that she would have to return back to them adventually but he wanted to know if she trully wanted to return back to them... she had ran for a reason and she was hurt. He saved her from getting caught and he felt responsiable for her as well.

Aleah had begun to raise his glass of tea to his lips, but paused when Sabe turned his attention to the leveret. Really… he should have known this was coming. Their hypocritical and false notions of equality were frustrating to put it lightly. They spoke that every Card was equal, but who would be within the courts? Face cards. Those who were lower were truly considered lesser in one way or another. Like his sister, passing out towels even if it was only to sneak her in.
His breathing had actually stopped, holding his breath as he realized the success of whisking this leveret away from this barbaric and backwards culture was actually all at the whim of Myth. It would certainly… complicate things if she said no. Swallowing thickly, he cut his eyes toward Myth, trying to get a general read of her face. What would he do if she decided to be difficult? Well, there was one option and it meant leaving her here, but that was not the preferred way to go about things.

Myth expected to bow and make her way back over to her little bed, where she could listen to them discuss her like the piece of property she was. It was right, proper, comfortable in a way that made her feel more at peace with the situation than she had in a long, long time. Since before Sabe took her, as a matter of fact. She bowed, but the next part didn't go at all as planned. She started as she was invited to the table with the two, flustered, and her hood fell back from her large ears.
Her mouth worked, trying to reply, but she eventually only managed a nod and a hurried "Yes, sir!" before seating herself awkwardly at the little table. She half glanced at Aleah, expecting to see anger, or something possibly even darker flash through his eyes. What if they fought? No, no, silly thought. Two Jacks fighting over a Leveret? She wasn't nearly so important.
Before her paw could even reach for the teapot once more, she was asked another question. A question that made her freeze in place. Blue eyes went wide and she stared, first at Sabe, then at Aleah. Did she...did she want...? The words tumbled around in her brain, almost not making sense. Her opinion didn't matter. It shouldn't and it didn't but...what answer did he want? Should she give the answer Sabe wanted...or the one Aleah did?
What was her duty here? She'd never felt so at a loss. "I...yes?" she said eventually, trying and failing to make her voice steady. She snuck another glance at Aleah's face, and saw...something odd in his eyes. Something she'd never have expected: fear. "Yes. I would like to go back. It's...where I belong." This time, her words held more conviction.

Sabe saw the wheels turn in the lev's mind as she tried to grasp what he had asked her. He knew when he looked back to the Jack that something was up, he saw something flash before his eyes as well as he had looked at her. He knew that something was up, and that he knew even more that the Lev would be confused on what she wanted due to the two people that sat to either side of her. He wanted what was best for her, but she was no child. She was old enough to know what she wanted and knew where she belonged.
He gave her a nod when she finally said it aloud, he breathed a sigh of relief at the answer, "Very well Myth. Help yourself to some tea and treats as we discuss what occurs from here on out." he said dismissing her from the conversation but not the table so she could stay here and listen if she wished. He didn't want to do anything that she didn't want to do in the first place.
This was when he leaned forward and grasped the tea cup and brought it to his beak to sip a bit from it. It was difficult to say the least since he had no lips, but he had learned how to make it look a bit more elegant. He sat back in his chair and looked down his beak at the Jack Aleah before him. "From what Myth has stated I fully understand that she needs to return back to the Rabbit Society where she belonged in the first place." he stated as he gave him a curt smile. "I have been waiting for a Jack to come to me or meet with me some day so she can return back to the hidden world of rabbits. And now your here." he said as he sat back in the chair resting his left hand on the arm rest and his other holding the cup with much care. He had to learn how to hold cups this delicate due to the long years of working and built up muscle that he had to have during his mail man years.

Aleah's exhale came out just a little too loud, having only just realized he'd been holding it. The teacup finally made it the rest of the way to his mouth which he gulped despite its heat. That measured look from Sabe had been what kicked him back into his normal demeanor, offering a confident grin as he pierced a lemon square with the tip of his claw and brought it to his mouth.
"Oh… goodness, these are so good. Perhaps I can get the recipe for these before we leave." Oh yes, they were very good, but it was also a good statement to diffuse the tension.
"Myth's answer is a delight to hear, and so is yours, Your Majesty, Sabe. There is a natural order to things, of course. And while I hope she enjoyed her little excursion, it would be delightful to have another addition to my Warren. I have a little leveret that we call Cooky who is absolutely beside herself with excitement to meet her."
Aleah set the cup down, shifting forward in his seat once more. "So, since it seems we are all keen on going through with this.. I'll show you this lovely little trinket I brought for the occasion. Now, I'm not sure if Myth mentioned this or not, but the measure of a Doe or Leveret's worth based on the item traded for him." He pulled the small object from his pocket, pulling away the silk that covered it.
Rabbit-esque statuette: This tiny statuette looks like a curious Leveret, though only other Rabbits would recognize it for its ranking in society. Made of white marble with its nose up in the air as if to sniff curiously, it fits easy in the palm of a Card or Jack's hand. It tingles with an almost anxious energy. Still, this must truly be a rare thing to give to anyone, especially a Card!
"This right here… cost me what it would for a Doe. But I think it's well worth it. But Myth.." He glanced toward the leveret with a rather genuine grin. "It would do my ego good if you were flattered."

Some of the tension left her shoulders when Myth saw their reactions. They were pleased, then. So it had been the right thing to say. That was what mattered. Ears still perked to catch the conversation, she poured herself some tea and then sat down to sip at it. Not her favorite sort of tea, but it did wonders for her nerves. And here she had expected a quiet night! To be fair, she knew someday she would have to return, or at least to leave Sabe for another Jack, whether Card or Rabbit. It was the way of things. But this? Aleah, as a Jack, right here and now? She'd never expected it.
When Aleah brought out the Rabbit statue, Mythiril's eyes widened and she nearly choked on her mouthful of tea. That was what he'd brought to trade for her? She set her cup down with shaking paws, well aware, in that moment, of all her faults. She stared at Aleah, and then bowed her head. "You do me greater honor than I deserve, Sir," she murmured, feeling beyond flattered by the gesture.

Sabe gave a nod and watched Myth as she poured herself a cup of tea. She was a dainty thing. Always proper and ready to do right for others. He knew that she was a great Lev, from what Myth had told him about Lev's, but he had been trying to give her some free will, even didn't mind her running out from the room so long as she wore her cloak.
He returned his gaze on the Jack before him listening to him speak in his nice even tones. It made Sabe wonder if this was really how it was handled between Jacks... but Sabe was no real Jack, only a pretend one for a year. Maybe one day he will be able to witness two Jacks holding a true conversation between the two of them. It would be nice to watch, even if it had to be something as trivial as who owned what tree in five realms over and why they deserved it and not the other.
Sabe returned his thoughts back to the Rabbit before him. he looked at the solid white marble statuet that stood before him on a silk blanket. It was rather curious and he made a move to pick it up to examan it for a second.
He looked it over a few times, being delicate with it in his claws. He didn't want to drop it by accident. He looked up to Aleah for a proper explianation of it.
"You say that this is worth that of even a doe, very well then." He said as he went to set the small marble piece down.

"It was quite a lot of trouble to get something rabbit crafted, yet catered to a card. I had to find quite the expert. Set this on your nightstand as you sleep and it will bestow a power that will work on all cards save for the face cards, and will strike terror in an enemy. I really do think you will find its power useful."
So pleased with how the trade was going, he allowed himself to relax enough to eat one of those delightful lemon squares. Perhaps he was feeling confident that an army of cards wasn't going to descend upon him and skin him alive. Perhaps he was just being cocky, but he genuinely felt like he had control of the situation. It would probably be later that he'd smack himself repeatedly over the head asking himself 'how did we survive that??'.
For now though, he was a grinning symbol of confidence as he let his gaze drift over to the little Myth. So much trouble. How expensive she was. How jarring the wounds that bled so often her fur was permanently stained. Still, she was a curious and rare thing. For all that she was quite the dangerous thing to take home considering her card allegiance, he felt like he had somehow won a prize.
"I would shake your hand on the deal, but that would be unpleasant." He lifted his hands, which had a long blade on each fingertip. Aleah laughed softly. "But perhaps a verbal agreement as the compromise. Do we have a deal?"

Sabe just sat there and nodded as the Jack before him told him about the difficulty of getting said item, not to mention the difficulty to make something that even a Card could use that was crafted with Rabbit magic. He leaned forward once again and picked up the item and flipped it around in his hand. He knew that this was probably worth a great bit and especially if someone knew of the Rabbit Court.
He took the cloth off the table and rewrappped the magical item and set it back on the table and picked up a small lemon cake and took a bite out of it. It was good and he would have to get the recipy for the Jack. Or get the Lev to take it with her as an good tidings between the two of them.
"This is a great offer that you have made me, especially one that was difficult to come by and very expencive. I know that Myth probably means more to you than you let on. It is good that she is going to a good jack that places her as high as any doe." he said as he nodded his head. "I conclude this deal is good between the two of us and I feel comfortable in releasing the Leveret Mythiril into your tender care." he said as he sat back into the chair and paused for a moment thinking about another thing. he would wait for that question for a bit.
