Seena sighed quietly, and pulled back a bit from her position right next to Heike, letting them fall into easy step down the hall. "I know," she said, voice rumbling with the underlying warmth of affection. After all, it was part of what made him a good Jack. He genuinely cared about the Rabbits in his Warren, and about all the little details of running it. It was part of what she loved about him, but worrying incessantly just came along with those traits. Still, she didn't want to see such a look in his eyes, if she could help it.
The Doe nodded. "If that is what you wish." She smirked a bit, wondering what they were going to do in the study, in that case. Perhaps she could talk to him about the latest book she'd been reading for pleasure? It was a harmless little thing about species of common animals in the Solandrian Glacier, and for some reason she found it rather interesting. The sorts of creatures that could survive there despite the conditions, when even Cards found the environment harsh...
Or perhaps he'd prefer to just relax quietly. Something in that was appealing, too.

When they arrived at the study Heike produced a book from one of his drawers and presented it to the Doe. Something brand new for her to read that he had managed to acquire before everything had gone to hell and a hand basket.
They could quietly chat and relax until it was time for dinner.. Even if the Jack still had a bit on his mind, he was significantly better. His problems would at least hold off for a a few hours worth of relaxation. He could worry about things after dinner when everyone had something else to do. The worries about Shelby temporarily quelled, and the thoughts of all the horrible things to be attended vanished as he actually enjoyed himself.
Dinner came, and it was surprisingly pleasant for what he expected. He shouldn't have been worried about such little things when everyone was certainly capable in his warren. Troubles would be dealt with tomorrow.... there always was another day.
