"Oh please, mon. I be a Midori! Do you really think I'd carry ane'thin but the best?" She snorted out the closest thing to a scoff the good natured squirrel could, forcing her stubborn grin into a pucker so she could light the thing. One. Two. Pass it on. Of course, she didn't hold the stuff in like some. "I don't like being out of me head with it... but smoke it how you will and don't pay me any mind" She grinned, holding it out so the bat could grasp it between his wing and his little ring finger. "It's Sunset, not Crazy Hands. Hope you don't mind."
Well, it seemed that she might have found a more permanent friend after all. To say it in a way that wasn't too shallow... those who found good friends from Midori who liked the Midori Grass tended to try to keep those connections. After all, the best place to get Weed from was a Midori!

The bat gave her a wide grin, leaning back to watch as she expertly rolled the joint, eyes partially lidded in anticipation. Back home, Midori Weed had been one of his favorite indulgences, though he often found himself dealing with grass that was... Less than quality. He was never one to complain, and so he had always just taken what he could get. "Pardon my rudeness, then! I meant no offense, and I should never have doubted a lady such as yourself.[/b]" Stupid flirt. As she lit up and inhaled, Seth found himself leaning forward, catching a whiff of the smoke that she had exhaled. The more he smelled and saw, the more he knew that she really did have quality grass.
He accepted the joint graciously, raising it up to take a deep breath of the stuff, holding it in for only a second before exhaling deeply, enjoying the pleasant warmth that went through him. "That's not as important as the overal quality... And that was amazing. Smooth.[/b]" he coughed slightly, letting the rest of the smoke out and leaning against the squirrel. Wow. He was never going for the cheap stuff again. He turned to look at her, an eyebrow raised as he passed it back. "You've got great taste, Zuberi.[/b]" he grinned broadly. This was the beginning of a beautiful friendship, he could tell already.

The dred-haired squirrel couldn't help but grin at the obvious bliss on the bat's face. She didn't doubt for a second that what she had might very well be some of the best he'd ever had. There were a few outcroppings of Weed farmers that cultivated for selling.. some even lived outside the Midori area.. but noone could deny that the Midori had Weed farming down to an art form, and was one of the few things that could rouse a Midori's passion for work within the generally lazy population.
Zuberi's capacity for boasting about lineage and the quality of her grass was ebbing, so she merely grinned and nodded in agreement before she took her turn. She chuckled when he leaned against her, draping her arm over his shoulders in a friendly gesture. "Well, now that you've so wonderfully mooched off me goods.. where are you taking me out to eat!" And SCORE! Zuberi found a way to put food in her belly for the day once again!

Indeed, the bat was quickly beginning to feel the effects of the Weed on his body, and a wide and slow smile stretched across his long muzzle, displaying every one of his long white teeth. It would almost be a scary sight, if not for his blissful expression.
When the squirrel put her arms around his shoulders, his ears perked up and he glanced over at her, an eyebrow quirked. This was the first time that he had been able to borrow drugs from someone, as those who had it in the Glacier tended to guard it very, very closely. He was relatively sure this was partially due to the higher chances of paranoia that came from smoking a less-than-good leaf. He was honestly surprised that Zuberi was so ready to hand it over, but all the same, her asking about food didn't come as a surprise to him.
Seth gave her an entirely charming smile. Money wasn't an issue to him, and he wanted his friendship with this woman to be about more than simply a shared intrest in the Weed. "Wherever you'd like to go. Seriously. I'm up for anything at this point.[/b]"

Oh, how lovely of him to agree! She knew just the place, even. There was a nice little coffee shop just down the street with the quaintest of foods. Cute little sandwiches and salads created with such care, and such delicate flavors... Very different from the flamboyant and spicy Midori food. Leading him still with an arm around his shoulder, she jovially passed around the joint until just a stump was left, bending down to snuff it out well on the ground and toss it into a garbage bin.
So, onward they swaggered with grins on their faces and a growing hunger in their bellies until they finally reached the quaint little section of the Bazaar where food was aplenty. The place she wanted to go was easily spotted by the wide umbrellas over intricately designed dark metal tables.. hence the umbrellas so the sun didn't turn them into little butt-ovens.
Sitting down, Zuberi grinned broadly and put the napkin in her lap that the waiter handed them. I promise that the food does not taste as pompous as the place looks Zuberi whispered when the waiter left to let them look at the menu, giggling a bit as she peered over the ornately decorated paper. Sunset generally mellowed her, but with the company of others she found herself feeling just a touch giddy. More importantly though, she was starving. Ah, something I think you'd appreciate.. a pineapple boat with all sorts of fruit in it! I can only assume.. you know.. because of the fruit stand.. and the.. fruit bat thing. Teehee!
((AHAHAHAHA. BUTT OVEN))

Seth swung himself easily into one of the chairs, leaning back and letting out a long, slow, and happy sigh. This certainly did look like a fancy place, and the bat ignored the looks he was getting from some of the other patrons. If they didn't like his mannerisms, they could just deal with it, because he certainly wasn't going to. He shot Zuberi a look, one that was accompanied by a lazily satisfied smile. "Pompous food can be just fine, so long as it's not those silly little pompous portion-things... You know?[/b]" his nose scrunched up slightly. "When you pay a good price and get a little speck of decorative food that you practically need tweezers to eat...[/b]"
He leaned back, snorting quietly and then giggling as well, covering his face with a wing. Well, that might have been embarassing, but his mood was just too good. "Hehe, yeah, that does kinda sound like it's right up my isle, doesn't it?[/b]" he let the menu fall again, ears twitching as it settled on the table, grinning to himself. "I'm not even gonna look anymore, that's seriously perfect. What about you?[/b]" he leaned forward, little tail twitching. "What're you gonna get?[/b]"

((To save my sanity, and this topic, I'm skipping ahead in time. Forgive me!))
It had only been a week since her rendezvous with the interesting bat, but already she was finished with the task she had allotted for herself. Sitting next to the fruit stand where she said she would wait for him, she sat on the curb with an eager smile on her face and a box in her lap. It was a small, natural looking box made from hollowed driftwood, giving it an uneven yet beautiful look. Within would be a little treasure for the particular bat's dear love.
Within the box, the inside of it was cushioned with a fine netting to ensure the safety of the trinket. She'd followed suit with her plans, carving the body carefully out of a piece of driftwood, complete with spindly legs for it to stand upon. Along its back were delicate and semi-transparent shells that glistened with rainbow hues. The eyes were simple, yet well shaped and placed beads that glistened an eerie ruby against the dark wood body.
She was quite proud of her little creation; in fact, she considered making more in the way of bug-like creations to sell back at home.. They were surely more interesting than the clam shells with wooden feet and googly eyes. Yes, going back to a more beautiful art form instead of mass produced trinkets would suit Midori well indeed.
Enough of her musings though.. where was Seth? Had he forgotten about their planned meeting? Checking the position of the sun, she gave a long sigh before leaning back against the light post. Hopefully, he'd show up soon.

Seth hadn't forgot the planned meeting.
He had, however, managed to oversleep. That was a curious thing, sleeping through the entire day, but it was the only thing he could do to recover from the hangover that was hammering at the back of his mind. He had woken up to get ready to meet her, and had promptly fallen asleep afterwards. Now, he was in a panicked rush to get to their arranged desitantion, picking up the bag that held her payment and a small gift. Damnit. He couldn't believe that he had slept until this late! As he burst out of his small flat, he was distressed to see that the sun was already starting to go down.
By the time he reached their designated meeting point, the bat was panting from his efforts. For a moment, he felt as though his heart had dropped out - he couldn't see anyone waiting there - but as he rounded the corner, his eyes fell on the squirrel and he almost breathed a sigh of relief. He was just glad that the Midori woman was patient. "Zuberi![/b]" he called out as he got closer, slowing his pace. "Shit, I'm sorry. I overslept. I hope you weren't waiting too long?[/b]

Zuberi had went through the gamut of a person who was waiting for someone. At first there was worry, then frustration.. then a bit of anger... And then it all circled back to worry. Maybe something happened? Anxiously, she wrung her hands, waiting...
Then there were a few protests from a dwindling crowd as the bat rushed down the street. He was obviously frantic about being late.. that was good. If he'd not seemed to care, that would have given her grounds to look sour when he approached. At the sight of the bag, her tail flicked and danced behind her with curiosity... Yes, she was quite the shameless individual.
She openly smiled when he came closer, holding up her paws in a calming gesture with a laugh. "Oh no, not long. Just about an hour.. and a half, but no matter!" Standing up on her haunches, she stooped to pick up the small driftwood box in her claws and hold it out to him. "I hope ye like the end results as much as I did. It be one of me best works."
