Zuberi's hut was a quaint, if not run down little thing. The door didn't quite close all the way and the windows were open slots in the sides of two walls. Inside there were few amenities; no electricity and a well pump that was attached to the sink the only source of water. A notch in the wall held the fireplace and led up into a small chimney. The room was the epitome of organized clutter. There was so much stuff, but amidst the chaos and clutter there was some semblance of balance as everything seemed to be purposefully set somewhere within easy reach. There were a great amount of strange items such as organs in jars as well as decorated skulls on shelves of various breeds; all obviously Cards. Despite all that was within the room, there was very little if no dust. Zuberi obviously kept everything quite clean.
"I apologize for the mess. If I'd have known I was having company I would have been sure to wash the dishes." Zuberi remarked as opened up a cupboard with a key she had hidden on top of the thing, placing her new bauble inside before locking it back up again. She wasn't secretive about the key, but rather kept it locked and the key high enough out of reach so most children would not be able to reach it.

Rosewood smiled. "Well this is the most organized mess I've seen in a very long while. You have quite an interesting collection of things." He said as he looked around noticing the decor. It was a quaint little place. The skulls though... that was a little strange. Then again, he had seen and heard so much stranger being from the Wood and being a therapist.
He was actually surprised by the fact that this place was smaller than his apartment. "Just so I know for tomorrow when I head out, how far away is the nearest "tourist trap"?" He asked just to make confirmation. He may have saved her life but he didn't want to impose on her. The swan was sure she had better things to do than play house guest to some stranger who knew absolutely nothing of the surrounding area.
That and he could plan his flight. He was going to enjoy his vacation to the fullest but he couldn't help but plan ahead. Old habits die hard.

Zuberi's fur all but stood on end, looking almost like a bird that had been offended. "The tourist traps are exactly what I'd suggest to avoid, to be honest with you. All there care about is selling trinkets in dirty alleys. Most of them aren't even near the good beaches. Now, if you're looking for dancing girls, gourmet food and the sort then I suppose that's where you'd go.. but here my friend.. out here is where the culture is still -alive-!"
She smiled quite blissfully, smoothing her fur back down and pumping the well pump to fill up the sink. Obviously she wasn't about to leave the dishes unwashed. "There's fruit on the table.. feel free to help yourself. I picked it fresh just the other day. Some of the bananas might be a little under-ripe though, I'm afraid..." She looked over her shoulder with a charming smile. "So.. what do you do for a living, Rosewood, sir?"

Rosewood hadn't meant to offend her in anyway. He just didn't want to be in her hair for a long period of time. Imposing on hospitality wasn't something the swan enjoyed doing, so he didn't do it very often.
"I apologize. I just don't want to impose." He said with a weak smile. He was happy about the change of subject. Glancing at the fruit he debated on if he wanted to try some without using his hands. Trying to deal with fruit with just a beak was difficult sometimes. Of course he didn't want to be any more impolite than he already had.
"I'm a therapist most of the time." The swan shrugged, "I also have a side job.I dance actually." On a pole. However he would never say that aloud unless he was in the right company. He was already treading on thin ice as it was.

"Oh dancing.. how lovely." Zuberi commented. Obviously she didn't suspect that his line of work was anything but innocent. Putting her freshly cleaned dishes on a rack, she proceeded to light the fire and get something going in the stewpot., throwing handfuls of dried herbs and even dried seafood into the mix.
"I liken myself to a therapist, sometimes." She rambled conversationally, turning to fix them both a bowl of water and set them on the table. The squirrel didn't stop to sit down though, for it seemed there was always something she could find last minute to throw into the pot. "I recently became the resident Priestess of the village and people always come to me with their problems both psychological and physical. So, if you're worried about imposing you shouldn't be... I've begun to grow quite used to the constant company."
Stopping, she paused, tapping her chin thoughtfully. "Do you like tea, Mr. Rosewood? Perhaps I should get a pitcher going.." Grabbing up a cast iron pot, she hurriedly began filling it with water before setting it on the stove and shovelling a few coals from the main hearth into the stove's belly to get the fire going.

Rosewood released a small sigh. He could never manage having constant company. Even with Rogers he needed space every so often. There was part of him that was painful antisocial and wanted to be left alone. Thankfully he didn't fall into those moods very often.
"Tea would be lovely," Rosewood said happily. Tea wasn't his favorite drink, but it was the most sociable drink on his list. Refusing a cup of tea was impossible. "And calling me Rosewood is just find. I've never been fond of titles before my name."
The swan wasn't as uncomfortable as before. He still felt a bit of tension being in someone's home rather than a hotel, but he could easily get over it. He had to if he was going to be staying here for the night. "Thank you very much for a place to stay and tea."

"Not a problem... Rosewood." Zuberi said most cheerfully, plucking a few leaves and buds off of a spice rack before throwing them into the kettle. A few dried seaweeds went in as well, as well as a few dried fruits, nuts and berries. The smell was aromatic and flowery, but holding a sweet yet salty seafoam smell. It was a tea that Zuberi made very well, being a recipe that had been passed down for generations.
"Other than relaxin' was there anything you wanted to do while in Midori? It's very beautiful out here... lots of people like to go sightseeing or fishing." Some people came to Midori with a full list of things they wanted to do. Others would merely go with the flow. She wanted to be sure to accommodate any of his requests. After all, what sort of host would she be if she didn't?

"I've never been here before, so I didn't want to make a list of impossible things to do." The swan shrugged. It was a vacation, he didn't have to have a giant task list like he did at work. At least he got away from all the people. He could deal with things this way.
"The tea smells fantastic, I don't think I've met anyone who home brews tea since I was... well a child." He had gotten to used to the tea you bought in a tin rather than putting all the ingredients together yourself. It all had to do with time being so valuable you couldn't bother to try and make your own tea. He mentally rolled his eyes at the very thought.
"You're quite a lovely hostess. I can see why people would come to you to tell you their troubles. But I'm a bit curious... do you ever get a chance to relax?" Prying was just part of his nature. He really should learn how to be quite and watch the tea boil like a normal person.

"I like to add that special touch to tea. If you blend the herbs yourself, it's like you can get a liddle something different every time." She was obviously pleased that he approved of her brewing techniques, and she looked over her shoulder with a smile. "Since you were a child eh? Well, it was certainly about time for a home brew. I hope to be doing things the old way for some time yet.. and when I have children, I hope to pass on the tradition to them."
At his question though, he paused, and a smile graced her lips that told of deeper thoughts on that subject close to her heart. She didn't speak for a few moments, as if considering her response. "You'd think as a Midori I'd be more for the relaxing- and don't you worry, I wasn't implying you were a regionist, but it's a most common fact that a Midori won't do more than they have to. Maybe it's the club in me, but I love to be moving, to have things to do. I take life at such a relaxed stride though, that I fear if I slowed down any more I'd just be wasting away." That expression though.. it was enigmatic.. it was a smile but at the same time.. sad. It didn't seem like she would divulge much more though, not on her own. "Do ya mind if I put on me biped, Rosewood? Hands make things easier.
