Zuberi's smile remained so cheerily bright, but she couldn't help but see the redness underneath those stark white feathers. So stark... almost brighter than those of a Highlander, but perhaps that was because of how much they lacked in markings.
"I'm sure that if you truly looked, you would be able to acquire many wonderful, faithful friends, Rosewood." Her voice became a touch intense despite herself, giving his hand a squeeze before letting go. Still, her gaze lingered, thin brows arching in something of a worried look over her strange, mismatched eyes.
"Rosewood... Are ye alright? You seem a bit... flushed. Was it perhaps a bit too warm in the room? There really wasn't much she could do about it, quite sadly. Perhaps she was more used to the heat than he was.. but then again she couldn't remember him having trouble like this during his last visit.

That was a terribly sweet thing for her to say. Maybe this is what his clients felt like when he spoke the them? It was strange to have the tables turned like this.
The swan went wide eyed at her next comment. He shook his head emphatically. The blush must have looked like something else. The swan wasn't particularly used to impure thoughts about women. And he couldn't seem to shake it.
"No, I'm fine. I was just taken by surprise by your comment." The swan gave the woman a rather bright smile. "Like I said I don't really have that many friends. Most of the time I only have time to deal with clients. Compliments aren't something I really know how to take well."
Hopefully she would be convinced by his statement and not press the issue. He was particularly lying, even if he was omitting parts of the truth.
