It was still unusual that he could find time to steal away, but today Shinrai had decided it was well worthwhile to kidnap two of his kids and go take a few hours respite in the park in the Capital. Wrapped, as usual, in his deep blue cloak, the man had decided on the unusual form of human today. He draped himself on a bench and watched two of his kids playing happily nearby. Ironically or not, it was fairly strange for the Morganberry/Josiggy equine to remember that his antlers were melting slowly away, but every once in awhile he would recall. Today, however, he was leaning over and trying to drip the liquid glass in a little puddle of sand that he and his eldest full brother had collected. "Ith it working?" Sid asked curiously, trying to peer around the flames with his pale lavender eyes. "Iono," Levi answered dubiously. "It might be. . ."

Since his daughter had her hands full in taking care of four kids, on his day off he had decided to cut a deal with Eilwyn in splitting the care of the kids for the day. So here he was in the park with two kids in tow. Acantha was prancing along, her head held high and her hoops chiming softly. She almost seemed to be swaying, as if she was dancing to the music. She would be a dancer, that one. Khloris on the other hand seemed to have a completely different nature, though her coloring did reminded him more of his precious Elyse. He had been quiet shocked to discover that one of his grandchildren was a Joker. At first he had simply refused to believe that such a thing was possible. That was until his eyes fell upon the girl. It was still something he found hard to come to terms with, but anything that came from Elyse could only be blessed. Though, he completely blamed the other side of the family for the cause of the odd glass mutations. As they walked through the Park he spotted a familiar cloaked figure. “How about the two of you go play?” He pushed the two kids in the direction of the grass before taking a seat on the bench. “Imagine finding you here.”

Rai glanced over to his friend and gave a small smirk. "Oh, yes, imagine that; I'm where I mentioned I would probably be at the time I said I'd be there." It seemed like it had been forever since he'd last seen his friend, however, so the look quickly grew more serious, even though the humour remained evident. "How are things, Aderlass?"
"I dun think it'th melting," Sid observed as he hesitantly put out a cloven hoof to poke at it. His attention, however, was quickly pulled away by a very pretty sound. He watched the approaching girls curiously before saying to the Highlander, "You thound like my feet!"
Levi turned his head to see the newcomers as well and managed to 'spill' the next little bit of melted glass. "Awww," he said, whining a little. "It missed!" He quickly tilted his head back again to try and get the next drop to land in the correct spot.

"Yes that is very odd." He replied nodding sagely, not giving up on his small amusement. At his friend's next question his tone turned a little more serious though. "It goes." It had been a terrify ordeal when he had found out there was complications with Elyse's pregnancy, it felt like it had taken years off his life. "Everyone is safe and well, and life seems to be taking it easy at the moment" Considering everything with the Courts no one was quite sure how long it would last, but by golly he would enjoy it while it lasted.
"Pardon?" The feline said as she got closer. Her sister following behind watched with careful eyes at their administrations.
"Wot is it that you are doing?" Though she was used to seeing her siblings with glass ornaments, she had never seen anyone else with one. And it appeared they were melting . . . what in the world?

Rai nodded in agreement, reflecting himself on just how precious the moment was. He actually felt old, and that was something that very rarely happened. He did not find the feeling pleasant.
The stallion purposefully turned his attention to the kids, ignoring the niggling feeling of foreboding that threatened to claw at his mind. "I was worried when I heard about Elyse's pregnancy. I'm glad she's fine." It had been a hectic time for both Queens, really. Rai abruptly realized that his kids were the same age as Ader's grandchildren. Perhaps he wasn't that old yet.
Sid glanced towards the other girl and his eyes widened as he gave a snort of surprise. "Your butt ith mitthing!!!!"
Levi's eyes shot sideways in interest at this exclamation. "That's cool!" he had to put in for himself. "How do you do that?"

He gave a nod of his head in acknowledgment of his friends words. "We are lucky that another healer was able to get to her in time. Otherwise . . . " He shivered at the mere thought. There would have been no way that she would have made it.
At the fanged confused breed's words Khloris halted. While she had heard people whisper about her on the streets it had not really mattered or bothered her all the much till someone mentioned it to her face.
It was at the flaming equine that caused her to relax just a little. He thought it was cool? It was not really all that often that someone said that. Well at least it was until they noticed her lack of Suit showing her to be a Joker.
"It is not so much that I do it, rather I was born this way" She replied softy.
Acantha was not used to being ignored, not when she wanted attention. "It's not all that cool I have glass all over me, see!" She called out to try and bring the attention back to her.

Rai had nothing to add to that; he felt greatly the same way, really. He would not have taken it very well if Elyse had died and he knew for a fact that Aderlass would have absolutely melted down. In a moment of pure theory it was an almost amusing thing to wonder exactly what all the mouse would do in his ensuing rage. It was not, however, something Rai would like to witness firsthand.
"You," Sid told the Joker with all the grave seriousness of a young child. "Are very, VERY lucky."
"Yah," Levi concurred. "Think of everything you could get away with! Can you go all the way invisible?" His attention, however, shifted back to the Highlander and he sniffed a bit haughtily at her. "So? I am too?" He gave a toss of his head, sending a few drips of melted glass away.
"Levi!" Sid chastened his youngest brother. "Be careful!
The region mix, however, was still focused on the feline. "AND," he continued. "I have flames." He flicked his firey tail as though to prove it.

She tilted her head to the side as she pondered over why she was so lucky. More often then not people pulled away in disbelief when they realized what it was that she actually was. When the firey proceeded to explain she could not help by giggle.
"I suppose that could be true enough. I do turn kind of invisible when the sun is high though," she gave a small shrug.
Acantha was happy to have the attention turned back toward her, though honestly it did not seem that these two were really worth it. Oh well, better some then none.
"So you are. But honestly, what good are flames if they only melt your glass?" She asked, sitting down on the grass, pulling herself into perfect posture. It defeated the whole purpose of looking pretty. Her dad made glass figurines and she was decked out in pretty glass ornaments, therefore his were a waste if all they were going to do was melt everywhere.

"They do not just melt my glass!" Levi responded, immediately up in arms about the issue. "They keep my antlers from growing too big, so there!" He stuck out his tongue at the Highlander girl. Really, she would be cute except for this attitude of hers.
"That'th very important," Sid put in gravely, but, really, the half-invisible girl was much more interesting to him than discussions about glass. "I hope we get to thee that!" he told the Joker with a smile around his fangs. At this point, he finally realized that she didn't have any markings on her chest. "Wot are you?" he asked curiously, demonstrating wot he meant by tucking his head so that his left fang tapped gently across his K and Heart. "I wish I could hide mine thometimeth. That'th got to be real handy, too." Man, this little Card was sssoooo lucky.!

Acantha tilted her head ever so slightly to the side as she took this in. "Well then, I suppose your glass is kind of cool." After all it would be bad if they got too long. "What all can you do with the melting glass? Maybe he could use it to make something extra cool. That would make them worthwhile.
Khloris gave a small giggle at his enthusiasm about her abilities. Not many else seemed to think it was as interesting as this one. Many thought it meant she was not really even there. At his comment about her lack of rank and suit she glanced down at her own bare chest. "I am not really sure. They say that I am something called a 'Joker' but then again that is impossible, right?" Everyone knew that they did not exist, they were something from a fairytale.
"Why would you want to hide yours?" She asked curiously.
