So it had been like he had thought, that was a relief. He gave a contented sigh as she resettled herself against his back again - this time no instinct went up to defend it. Under the table Juris shifted so that she would not discover him.
At her comment he looked up from the piece he was working on at the moment to glance at the earrings. "You think so?" He asked, tilting his head to the side. He was interested to see what she had to say about them. After a few moments he opened his palm to display the diamond that was now a ring. Reaching over he dropped it into the pile with the earrings.
"Is there anything that you would like to see made?" He asked her as he grabbed up another diamond. He had only a few left for the day, after that they would be able to leave.

His casualness about his art form amused her and she fondly nuzzled the upper curve of her beak along his jaw yet again. Sarai had been that way about her amazing singing voice. It was yet another terribly cute thing that he did. Her right hand came up to play gently along the edge of his horn. She watched him pick up another diamond and suggested with a curving smile, "How about a slave earring?"
There was a chance that there was an implied meaning behind the words, though she certainly gave no real indication about it. She also wasn't aiming to get anything from the man; again, her bracelet was already perfect.
The jewelry worker continued to stare in bafflement at the leash end in her hand.
"Do you mind?" the Ace snarled suddenly. The lady yipped but her hand tightened rather than released.

When she nuzzled along his jaw he did not really react, though he was becoming fond of the action coming from her. It was something that he could get used to. Though he was not really sensitive on his horns when her right hand gently played along the edges of it a small shiver made its way down his spine. He was more then slightly amazed by the result.
At her request his eyes widened slightly. Clearing his throat he finally was able to reply. 'A slave erring? You are sure?" He was not sure what to make of the request. Well the lady had asked and he would deliver.
Enclosing the diamond in his fist he concentrated over it. Instead of making something too simple he decided to add a little bit of a swirl design in it as well. Once it was finally done he held it up for her inspection, allowing her to take it from his hand should she desire a closer look.

The Highlander mix made a chirping noise that must have been a type of laugh at his question. She held still when he went back to work, not wanting to somehow mess him up as he concentrated. She evidently needn't have worried, since he soon presented the piece for her inspection.
"By the hills, Ignatius," she said softly. "You are superbly talented." She reached out her hand to take it when he offered it and gently turned it one way to the next so the light could glitter across the piece. She smiled brightly as she handed it back. She was wonderfully pleased that she had inspired something so lovely. She briefly tightened her arm around his shoulders again. "Do you have anymore to do besides these?" she asked curiously.
"You. . .you can talk!" the worker gasped out. Drostan stared flatly at her until she began to shiver.

Taking it back from her he laid the slave earring down in the pile with the rest of his completed items. Once he brought them downstairs the store would log them and put them on display to sell. When they did he would be contacted and his share of the money transferred over.
He thought about her question for a moment. He still had a few more diamonds left over, but at the same time, considering that he had spent much of the week working on them, there was not much truly keeping him here.
Leaning back he captured her forearms with both of his hands. "Actually, I was thinking of another surprise. If you are up to it, that is." He replied teasingly giving a small shrug of his shoulders.
Receiving her answer he released her forearms to lean forward, putting the done items into a tray and the rough diamonds going back into his bag. Standing up he gathered up the items, grabbed a hold of her hand, and led the way downstairs.

Dierdre let him capture her arms, though a warning flag went up in the back of her mind at it. If it had been anyone other than Ignatius, she wouldn't have allowed it. The fact that it was him was all that kept her from reacting as poorly as he nearly had earlier. But they were saving themselves with each other, and that wasn't worth fighting.
"Ooh, more surprises? This should be fun." The Highland mix allowed him to lead her back downstairs after he had packed up.
"Drostan," she chastised the Ace as they came into sight of his aggression. "Leave her alone."
The woman gladly released the leash and the Ace slunk back to his mistress as he muttered angrily under his breath. "Love of light, idiotic woman, don't leave me alone with imbeciles if you don't want me to kill them."

Coming around the other side of the counter he slid the tray to the female working behind the counter. "Here you go." She would know wot to do with them.
At the Ace's comment he could not help but give a chuckle. "Well if you are both ready, we should get going." Having kept her hand in his, unless she had released his, he tugged her gently toward the door, anxious to get going.
"I was thinking, in all that time you left me alone with, that I have something you would like to see. Are you up to it?" His tone was teasing, showing that there was no hard feelings. His words were loose enough that she could take them in any context she chose to.
Walking down the street he headed toward the main road that would take them to the Heart Court.

The woman watched with interest as Ignatius handed over his work and the lady at the counter took it without argument. She, of course, did not release his hand, so he very easily pulled her towards the door and she tugged lightly at Drostan's leash to tell him to come along as well.
The Ace continued to mutter under his breath in anger and the pair of them would be quite welcome to some chills themselves. As always, however, Dre seemed completely unaware and as they moved through the streets, the feeling eventually faded away.
"I would love to see wotever it is you have to share," Dre replied with a gentle smile. As they moved onward, her ears tilted forward with interest. Things were beginning to look rather familiar. The pair flipped backwards suddenly and mischievously as she suddenly became aware of where they were probably heading.

As they continued to walk along he started to hum to himself, mostly a little thing he had done to keep Juris entertained. It was relaxing walking along with her at his side. Her steps were light - he caught glimpse of her attractive feet between swooshes of her dress - and she seemed to move with a grace that he was envious of.
After a while he finally turned to talk to her, mostly ignoring the ear flicks. "So, after our last talk, I figured that since you seemed to be so interested in His Majesty's sons that I would introduce you to a few of them." Having been away for most of the week a meeting to make sure that everything was okay with Se was in order. She had also seemed interested in Ira, so why not than kill two equines with the same stroke?

Her ears flicked backwards again, but she beamed even brighter at him once he announced what they were about. "That sounds wonderful," she responded brightly. "Whom shall we be meeting?" It truly was terribly interesting that Ignatius would have such ties to the Court of Hearts and she found it equally amusing.
She wondered just how things would go or if her father would find it amusing to let the Corvie hybrid introduce her to him.
Drostan glanced up towards his mistress expecting her to tell the man at any moment about her own ties to the Hearts. Nothing came, however, and he gave a low grunt of what might be amusement. Someday her whacked out sense of humour was going to get her into a serious amount of trouble. It would be interesting to watch and see how she came out of such a situation.
