"I come here about once a week to work on items to be sold and to gather more supplies" He replied, giving another small shrug. "There is not really a set day for that to happen though, it all depends on my duties at either Court and when I can get away. I have plans to come back tomorrow though to drop off the work I get done tonight" He lifted the bag of diamonds slightly. "Why do you ask?" He pulled back so he could meet her eyes better.
The fox was not sure what to make of the situation at hand. He could either let himself be known or - as he was more hoping it to happen - the owner would call him off. As he had gotten older he had found it harder and harder to explain to people about his condition.

"I have to know when to come back, of course, silly." She thought briefly about beeping his nose, but she was fairly certain it was a bit too soon in their relationship. Ignatius seemed the tiniest bit uptight; perhaps a little too long among equally uptight people. He definitely needed her in his life. Her beak curved in a smile and she briefly let herself imagine leaning over to kiss him deeply. Her ears went backwards mischievously in an expression Iggy could probably recognize from all of his time spent with Rai's family. She did not, however, act on the desire; not yet, at least. He still needed some time to know her.
Drostan continued to slowly make his way around the glass cases, each step a crouching, slinking motion as he tried to figure out where the sounds had come from since there was no sign of anyone around.

Looking down at her he raised an eyebrow. "And what makes you think that I would even want to see you again?" he asked with a straight face.
He was not sure what to make of the female. The thought that she might be about to leave actually had him a little disappointed. But if she was thinking of seeing him again it would not be too bad, right?
Seeing her ears go back in the motion he easily recognized as mischievous he raised both eyebrows. "What?" Did he sound the slightest bit nervous?
Was he scared of a little Ace? No, it could not be. He was afraid of facing Iggy for anything other then business - having not forgotten their first run in years ago. Standing as still as he could he tried not to draw attention to where he was. Please call him off, please call him off was all he could think.

The woman gave an amused trill of a laugh and nuzzled her beak gently against his jawline. If he had been talking to anyone else but her, she very well might have believed the flat insinuation behind the words. But, of course, he was talking to her and there was no way he wouldn't want to see her again, even if his body hadn't reacted to hers, she was a gorgeous Highland woman.
She gave a small toss of her head, before laying her head against his shoulder briefly. She gave a small contented sigh. "Someday you will know better wot is running through my mind." That was the only explanation she gave for her mischievousness. Well, sadly or not, it was back to business for her. She rose and leaned over to give him one more kiss on the cheek, winking as she pulled away. "I'll come back, Ignatius. Don't worry about that." She hoped she could return the next day but, at the very least, she would start haunting the store on her off days.
With a flick of her tail, she quickly collected Drostan from where he was playing behind the counter.
"Stop it, woman! There's something back there!"

When she nuzzled against his jawline he could not resist leaning into the movement a little, enjoying it. After she had laid her head back down on his shoulder he turned his head so his jaw rested lightly against her head. He as not doing anything back, nope.
"I fear for the day, trust me" he replied, only half meaning it. Having spent most of his life around Ira and Se he doubted that anything she thought surely could not be worse. However, he was still interested to know what it was that she thought.
"I assure you that I am not worried. I am sure you will be back to torture me another day" He gave a wink back, blushing slightly from the kiss on the cheek and more then happy that his fur would hide all evidence of it.
No there is not Asher thought to himself, a little relieved that it appeared the Ace and his owner would be leaving soon.

His returning wink made her heart flutter slightly and she was smiling widely with twitchy wings when she actually grabbed Drostan's leash and tugged him away from his play and towards the front door. She stopped at the door to look back over her shoulder at Ignatius and gave him one last smile, a glance that promised she would return because he was there.
She tugged gently at Drostan's leash as she finally made her way out of the store. She was going to come back as soon as she possibly could. Unfortunately, 'as soon as possible' wasn't going to end up being the next day or even the day after that.
As someone aiming to get into the Court of Hearts, her lovely grandfather had quite a bit of things for her to learn. Her father had been of little help, simply laughing anytime his Mommy dearest inflicted some new mental torture upon her.
With ears back, Dre snuck out of the Palace. Drostan trailed behind her, his own ears flattened in annoyance.

He had been waiting at the jewelry store everyday since the day he had met her. When she had not come back the next day he had shrugged it off as something coming up that she could not get around. After all that family business of hers sounded like something that would keep her away.
Opening his palms he let the newest piece of diamond jewelry fall out of his hands. They were two pendulum earrings.
Is the pretty lady coming back, master? A well known voiced asked inside of his head.
I am not sure He replied, pushing away the earrings and grabbing up another small diamond.
He should be mad at her. After all she had left him hanging for almost a week now. She was probably just toying with him, enticing him in and then leaving him danging for her own fun. Even though something told him that thought was wrong he could not stop it from forming.

She almost got lost before she finally found the store again. Ah, there it was! She strode swiftly inside, golden eyes skimming the room swiftly and only spotting one lone Card behind the counter. The worker bowed to the Highlander, the reaction seemingly instinctive towards the powerful, authority figure which stood at the entryway.
Dre kept her disappointment hidden as she strode swiftly across the room. Her keen eyes, however, caught sight of some doors in the back.
"How may I help you?" the woman behind the case asked politely.
"Where is Ignatius?" the words were stated in a low, firm voice.
The woman blinked in surprise. "He's upstairs, working."
Dre's eyes lit up and she quickly handed over the Ace's leash. It was difficult to say which of the two Cards were more surprised. But the woman was already gone, opening doors until she found the stairs and then she moved swiftly and quietly up them.
She paused at the door, her ears flicking forward as she caught sight of the man. She moved silently into the room; her dance training had taught her this long ago. Coming up behind him, Dre slipped her arms around his shoulders and leaned her head against his with a soft sigh of relief and contentment.

Feeling the arms wrap around his shoulders from behind he almost jumped completely out of his chair. Instinct and training taking over he was just about to swing his arm backward to take out the stranger when he realized just who it was. "$#!&! Do not ever come up behind me like that again. I almost struck you." The comment was a low growl though most of the sting would be taken out by the fact he mumbled the last part.
He was mostly angry over the fact that he had almost struck her, rather then the fact that she had come up behind him. Settling back down in his chair he gently, and somewhat fondly, wrapped his left hand around one of her forearms.
"What kept you?" He asked as if he did not really care, picking up the diamond that he had been working on before she had startled him.

His reaction was so unexpected that she almost didn't defend herself. Belatedly she moved to block the blow, but he had already pulled it up. She almost squeed at the face of annoyance he presented at her, and it was only through a very careful application of self-restraint that she kept herself from jumping him completely. He was just too adorable!
Her wings shuffled slightly as he slipped his hand onto her arm and she settled back against him again. She curiously looked over his shoulder at the pieces he was working on, yet again impressed by what he could create.
"My grandfather is a workhorse," she explained lightly, though there was no way to tell if that meant her grandfather was literally a horse or simply a workaholic. She extended her right hand to point towards the earrings. "Those are lovely." Though the bracelet that graced her left wrist was still her favourite.
Drostan glared angrily at the woman who now bewilderedly held his leash. His ears flattened and he debated the best way to get her to let him go.
