Mnemosyne. Minh liked the way it sounded, purring off her tongue. And it tickled her pink—and yes, her own wit amused her sometimes—that Mnemosyne seemed so receptive to whatever dastardly mischief the two were certain to cook up the second they dealt with the snack.
And that brought her to the other pressing matter at hand—the lovely little skunk that had yet to utter an intelligible syllable. She was just so cute; and kind of reminded her of a pet squirrel she’d had once, before her brother got hungry. As such, the compulsion to take her home and feed her biscuits was rather disconcerting.

((Heya, this is just a small note to please keep your eyes on word count. That post above only just cleared 100, whereas the min is set around 150. It's not that big a deal, I'd just like you to be aware of it. <3))

(( i love the squirrel reference, Darklove..xD; ))
Kelasia was overawed by the two lovely creatures before her, sensing the chemistry between them and feeling very reluctant to interrupt. Her head was doing a sort of ping pong motion from one to the other to follow the conversation(with her eyes still carefully at their feet), though she had a feeling there was something to the subtone of the words that she was missing.
Nevertheless, she wouldn't leave this conversation unless it was obvious they wanted her to. Or, well, seemed obvious. Or if it just seemed like they didn't want her around. Something along those lines.
It didn't seem like they cared a great deal for Osias and the skunk only glanced in the Lowlanders direction once; he didn't seem to notice or care, really. Maybe it was just her? It usually was.
In any case, she had nothing to offer without a direction question; even her name, though she was filing away the others. It was likely a bit rude, but, again, she didn’t want to intrude on the others’ conversation.

Mnemosyne watched the little skunk watching them, her head moving frantically back and forth as she kept up with the conversation; Mnem had the sneaking suspicion that she would be quite content to spend the rest of their encounter saying nothing at all, merely listening to more dominate personalities interacting, and that just wouldn't do.
She didn't know what Minh thought of the skunk or what exactly they were going to do, but Mnemosyne felt that it would be for the cowering creature's benefit and possibly their own if they included her. She knew from experience that looks could be deceiving, and who knew what their companion had to offer beneath the quaking and shy exterior?
"Well," she said, smiling encouraginly at the skunk, "since you already know me and Miss Minh, why don't you formally introduce yourself, so we can all get to know each other better?"

When she realized that she was being addressed, Kelasia blinked and pale eyes flicked up to gorgeous yellow canine before just as quickly slipping back away. Formally introduce? Wot could that mean? Unbeknownst to Mnem, evidently, beneath that quaking and shy exterior was a quaking and shy interior.
"Oh... uhm... I-i'm K-kelasia. Uhm... I-i work f-for a sh-shipping firm." Was that a formal introduction? She'd never been asked to make one before and in the face of these two confident ladies she was even less sure of herself by comparison. But wot fabulous role models to take, right? Maybe… She wondered if Theofilus would like that from her. Her thoughts drifted away from their conversation for a moment to linger on her now-boss. She wanted to be acceptable to the male more than almost anything else.
The skunk flushed again when she realized wot she’d been thinking and forcibly returned her thoughts to their present location. She hoped she hadn’t missed anything during that quick mind vacation.

The poor thing--Kelasia, she said her name was, and to Mnemosyne it sounded like something quiet and sluggish, which she supposed was fitting--stuttered out her response, and then appeared to drift off into her own little world entirely. What an odd little creature. Mnemosyne was not quite used to dealing with those who had little to no self-confidence, and she suspected that it was going to take a lot of effort to even get the skunk to consider peaking out of her shell.
Still.
It should be worth her while, shouldn't it?
She decided to ply a few more words out of the skunk. But first--Minh.
"Would you mind," she said, "if we...added another to our little...group?"

Minh turned her gaze to Kelasia, smiling in what she hoped was a cajoling way similar to that of Mnemosyne. (How similar they thought alike!) Kelasia would make the perfect addition to their horribly genius, future-plans of mischief—she would prove a most excellent diversion, distracting potential victims with her shy charm while Minh and Mnemosyne sneak up behind with a rag full of chloroform.
Oh, no. She had no problems with this arrangement; none whatsoever. Mnemosyne was a wicked sort of sly, and could probably charm the pants off a queen. But Kelasia had a different kind of appeal, and they could so use that to their advantage. Between the two they had all their bases covered, in regards to espionage. Hell, yeah. And then, of course, there was the evil genius behind it all—yours truly.
The smile went up a few notches, “Kelasia should come along. I’ll buy lunch! It’ll be fun!”
Cajole. Cajole. Cajole.

Kel should wot? Pale blue eyes went wide and she forgot to stare at the floor in self-loathing for several minutes as she looked from one self-satisfied female to the next. "I should... Excuse me, wot?"
Evidently the pair had almost succeeded in overwhelming the poor, shy creature already, and it was highly unlikely she could stand up against one’s prodding, much less two. Especially as she was already borderline hero-worshipping the pair, almost despite herself.
The bright, feline smile was also rather unnerving; it almost seemed like Minh was thinking about how to eat her. The concept was silly, of course, but the skunk still couldn’t quite shake the feelings that the Corvistowne knew things and thought things that she herself would never even begin to consider. Kel glanced back towards Mnemosyne and had the sudden feeling that the two were in cahoots for all they had only just been introduced. It was a disconcerting sentiment to say the least.

“You were going to come to lunch with us. I know this great sushi joint—”
—she glances at the rat, “Of course, I’m always up for Italian.”
Because, really. She was hungry and she was this close to saying be damn to social norms and making a snack out of him, disease-infested rodent or no.
Which brought to mind her delightfully useless, slightly pyromaniac brother, Thanh: if people thought she had an insatiable appetite they obviously had never met him. That man had a black-hole for a stomach—something Minh had always wanted to study, but she loved his potpies too dearly to risk killing him in the process. Because if there was one thing that made her brother’s miserable piece of hide worthwhile it was his cooking.
Thanh, and his potpies, were really the only thing she ever missed about Corvistowne. And the neighbors she stole bunnies from, of course.
“So—how ‘bout it?”
