Sabe didn’t know what to think at first. Everything looked and seemed to be coming apart around him. He had thought that there would be more structure inside the Palace than this. One would think…
He turned his attention to the two kids that where running amuck in the kitchen being chased after by the Sparrow. Poor woman… she had her hands full with these two.
He gave a sigh and looked up at Dre, ”It would seem to me dat you be acting theatrical… with all this dancing and enticing.” he said as he moved closer to the area in which the equine fell. He reached down and plucked the little bugger up and set him straight.
”Ye better watch out… she’ll get ya.” he said with a chuckle and moved away from the pair… and like again… he had to make sure that none of his feathers had caught… that would have been a bad thing, once before he meet a pair of kids with one having wings made of complete fire. Though they where lowlanders… Casanova? And Borkat… yes that was their names.
He moved back over to Dre and her pet to watch the spectacle.

Sid looked up at the heron dubiously, trying to figure out who the man was and why he was touching him. He was a bit unsteady on his feet still; there was a chance that he had a slight concussion. Still, the sparrow was coming on his heels, and the colt/fawn tried to head after his brother. He ran into one of the kitchen workers, who quickly tried to steady him as his cloven hooves fought to find purchase on the tiled floor.
Dierdre swiftly stepped into the way, blocking the would-be nanny from her charges with an easy smile on her beak though her golden eyes showed warning. The sparrow would be terribly displeased to follow the boys now.
Unfortunately for the maid, one of her wings was now 'clipped' due to the fact that Levi had evidently burned off the leading edges of her flight feathers. Still, Dre could tell that no permanent damage had occurred. Her head tilted to one side and Drostan took a small step back as though he recognized her pose and it did not bode well.

Sabe was a bit downtrodden for the poor colt/fawn. So he approached the babe that had a weird eye color and markings, helping steady the kid. He placed the package that he had under his wing on the stainless steel table before moving to the poor concussed colt. The walk had been sort of decently long from here to the infirmary… and he didn’t want to make that trip again, so he would see what the matter with him was and determine if there was need for it.
He walked up casually, well with some urgency to his step, but he approached calmly, he did. ”Be ye all right kid’o? Ye not be hurt all over be you?” he said bluntly and mildly worried for the poor colt. Though he wanted for some reason, to look good in the messenger’s eyes… he was starting to get the fact that more than half the time she may have been flirting with him.
He turned his attention to the other one… with its horns melting like molten glass. That was a bit strange but nothing that he could help with… and it didn’t seem to bother the equine that bad.
”Does he be doing this often?” he asked with a bit of a smile.

Sid shook his head causing a sharp pain to shoot through it, but he fought for some toughness; just like Auntie Ira! "I'th okay," he protested through his fangs. "I jutht hit mai head." He blinked uneasily. "It kindof hurtth."
Levi moved quickly to his brother's side and authoritatively took control of the situation. "Tilt your head up and let me see your eyes." His eldest brother did as he was told and Levi answered the man almost absently. "Do wot often? Run into things? No, he's usually a bit better about his balance. Sid, you have a concussion."
"They're my responsibility," the sparrow was saying uneasily, wanting to pay back the boys for their play without actually hurting them. Badly.
"You will not touch my uncles," Dierdre said calmly with the same smile. "Their mother would be terribly displeased."
The sparrow blinked and her expression shuttered quickly.

Well that was good, at least the colt wasn’t that bad… or was a concussion bad? Sabe didn’t know… he was no medic or knew anything about this sort of thing. He could tell when someone had a broken bone, only if the bone was sticking out of the skin… but that was about it… and if they where bleeding. Things like that he would know.
”He be alright though, no?” he asked the flaming equine. He would attempt to do something but the colt’s brother seemed to know more about this than he did, so he decided to do something else… he was famished and he wanted something to eat… yes Sabe does have a one tracked mind.
So he walked over and received a bowl of something… it looked to be a fish stew. He loved his fish, with a passion. He got another two bowls that he carried separately over to a table, then another two… it was lunch time after all… he didn’t know if they were coming here to get away from the pirate or just to get some food because she wouldn’t let her.
”Well if ye two don’t be too badly hurt would ye want to eat with me and dat messenger and her pet?” he asked the two kids that where near him… he made sure to get a table close by… just in case the concussion was bad that he couldn’t walk that far.

"I have another concuthon?" Sid asked in disappointment. "But Mommy won't let me thwim if I do!" He pulled back his head and his ears flattened in disappointment. "Can't we thay I had a heart attack inthead?" His eyes went hopefully to his youngest brother.
Levi rolled his eyes. "If it's a mild one we won't even mention it to him," the colt said mildly, trotting over to the table. Their pirate adventure seemingly forgotten for now.
Sid followed his brother, whistling at Drostan to come as well. The Ace gave a much put-upon sigh and trundled over to the others without a word. At least he was going to get to eat.
"Eeew, I think there's fish in this," Levi complained.
"Then get something else," the hawk/equine hybrid said mildly. "Get enough for both of you." She turned to give Sabe a bright smile. "Well, then, let's eat!" The sparrow was gone.

Sabe had to laugh at the two kids. Apparently haven’t one was not something to have, especially if you had a mother… his mom only told him not to get hurt… but apparently never told him not to get a concussion. He sat down and quieted his laugh and whiffed the food in front of himself. It smelt delicious.
He looked over to the messenger and spoke, ”Well, I guess that we be having five bowls for three people then.” he said pointing to the two bowls that wouldn’t be eaten by the two kids. He wondered if Dre would feed her pet now or later. He hated having to eat around aces… they just seemed to him as a lowly commodity that everyone was looking for. Aces where a rare bunch.
”So… Would it be about time to learn your name yet?” he said as he reached down with his long beak to grab a small sardine.

"Are you hiding your name, Auntith?" Sid asked curiously, forgetting entirely about his hurting head for the moment. "Why? Ith he a bad guy? Ith he a THPY?!?!!?" The boy was getting incredibly excited about the strange Kahmden heron now. "Do you kill peopleth? Are you good at your job?"
Levi tossed his head as he trotted over, carefully angling a plate of greens and bread up onto the table between his chair and his oldest brother. He tossed a bread roll down to the Ace. Drostan caught it expertly, eating swiftly. "If he was a spy, Sid, he wouldn't be allowed to tell you."
"Mr. Sabe has a delivery for the Queen," Dre answered brightly. "Perhaps the delivery is from a spy." She ate calmly without concern for the fact that it was highly unlikely Sabe was delivering from a spy.
Sid's eyes went wide and he responded with a long 'Oooohhhhhhh.'

Sabe thought that it would be a wonderful idea to spread a small white lie, and the fact that it wouldn’t be harmful in the least, since Dre didn’t clear it up right there. He gave a wide smile gobbling down the whole fish. Before turning his attention back on the two kids.
”Your niece is correct, I happen to not be a spy, but I do work for one.” he said pulling the package closer to himself attempting to show some sort of importance in it. ”Do you think that I can be trusting ye enough? I might just have a secret that I could tell you about the spy I be working for.” he said it as if it was a total secret while he leaned down to speak softly, not attempting to let anyone know, save for Dre.
He leaned back keeping a protective wing around the package as he took small pieces of the fish stew out of the bowl. It was rather delicious, he turned back to see if they had bought it.

"Ith he a good thpy or a bad thpy?" Sid asked as he took a large bite of greens. The movement was awkward around his long fangs, but the boy was obviously used to dealing with it since he fairly expertly used his tongue and the edge of the table to get his food into his mouth. "Tho duh tha tho fo bad thpy. . ."
Wotever he said was made incomprehensible through his attempt to eat as he spoke.
"Not with your mouth full, Sid," Dre chastened him gently. He sent her a guilty look.
Dre took one of their extra bowls of stew and set it down on the floor for Drostan now that he'd finished his bread. The grison silently went about tucking htis away as well. His sarcasm seemed staved by the fact that he was getting to eat.
"We're high-ranking Hearts," Levi pointed out. "With very good connections. If you can't trust us, who could you trust?" This might not be the most fair question, but the equine seemed fairly certain it would get results.
