Femi hadn't been anything but excitedly nervous until this very hour. Now she was crying into her hands and whimpering that she wasn't pretty enough as a human for Kazifel, who was just gorgeous, and how could she possibly go out there looking like this! Except if she went out in her biped now and he was looking forward to seeing her in a dress, that would be even worse.
Eventually her mother managed to calm her down enough to stop crying so that her face wouldn't get blotchy, which it had already started to do, and so they could start trying to figure out what exactly was going to happen. She also locked the door so that various people couldn't get in after Josephine after hearing the shriek, telling them all through the door that it was just nerves and they were fine. It took slightly longer to convince her father of that but eventually Priscilla managed by rolling her eyes and threatening to hide his drugs. He left after that.
An hour later, the veil was on, the flowers were in hand, and an extraordinarily startled Alphonse got to lead his human daughter to the wedding.

Everything was in place. Everything was in motion. Kazifel was still nervous as hell as he stood in front of so many people. He didn't want to screw up. He glanced at his Aunt periodically. Had she done something horrible to Femi? What as going on.
When the music started playing he watched everyone turn their heads to watch the two figures walk down the aisle. His heart nearly stopped.
Buh? Femi? That was Femi in her human form wasn't it? When had... had that been what her Aunt did? Had she managed to freak out Femi enough that she had managed to find her human form?
Well. She had done something but it wasn't awful at all. He let out a small sigh of relief. He was still nervous to be in front of so many people, but how horrified could he be now everything was all right. The smile on his face wasn't going to fade anytime soon.

Looking anxiously for the expression on her love's face, Femi relaxed almost instantly when she saw that it was a smile. The dress had been the way to go, then... she was so glad that she hadn't made the wrong choice there! With Kazifel's dark, beautiful hair, his black suit looked even more striking in a sea of Tulgey white and she just wanted to rush up and kiss him and ignore everybody else. That wasn't how things were done, though she dearly wished she could ignore all of that. With how long she'd been working to achieve this form... well. She was thrilled. And worried, but that was swiftly passing in favor of even more thrilled.
Pink eyes crinkled around the edges as she smiled and stood next to her King, looking up at him the whole time. She didn't feel the need to pay attention to anyone else right now, just him standing beside her and looking beautiful. And so very hers.
When it was finally time for her to kiss him, she flung her arms around his neck with tears in her eyes. This was so wonderful. She had never been sure if she would actually find the man she was looking for, yet here he was, standing in her arms, kissing her.

This was more than just perfect for Kazifel. He wasn't going to lose Femi to anyone or anything now. Everything was going to be... a fairy tale ending. Except there was no end in sight. Which was more than Kazifel could have ever asked for.
The kiss was something that made the whole thing just a bit better. Even if he was blushing because of so many people watching them. Oh well, that's what wedding was all about.
It made him wonder what the wedding night would be like. He hugged Femi tight before slipping out of her embrace. The people were starting to give awkward looks. He caught a brief image of Josephine wiping away tears from the corner of her eyes. Well, that was something new. She had even smudged a bit of her make up.
Somehow, that made the wolf feel the tiniest bit better. He had a family that cared. And he was going to spend the rest of his life with the woman he loved. Thank you fate.

Femi looked up at him after the kiss with eyes that were watering the tiniest bit and she couldn't seem to stop. She just smiled and brought up the heel of her hand to wipe the tears away and leaned on his arm. She didn't care what kind of looks people were giving them right now. All she cared about was the look in his beautiful gold eyes as he watched her watching him. Eventually, though, she had to look away to blink out a few more happy tears.
Her mother was crying openly, which really surprised her but maybe shouldn't have, and her father was just watching her with a happy smile as he held a sheet-wrapped Alphonse on his lap. Thyme was sprawled across her mother's, and the rest were on the floor with Jingles. Vren was watching Kazifel intently, which she supposed she should have predicted, and even Lord Ghi looked less terrifying than he normally did. One or two of the other women present were also crying. Then she threw the bouquet and Lettie nearly flew out of her seat to catch it, giving a very pointed look to a feline man near the back of the room.
She didn't pay any attention to them after that, focused again on her King. "Food and dancing," she whispered. "Then we can leave."

"All right, I can deal with that, this is only a once in a life time thing," Kazifel whispered back with a smile. He would put up with anything right now. Even the stares he was getting from Vren. The man was burning a hole in the back of his head. Oh... right. He hadn't seen him since the whole being a doll incident. Imagine that.
The socializing thing was a bit difficult for Kazifel. He felt very awkward and out of place the entire time, even when Femi decided to wrap around him for most of the time. People just... never worked with Kazifel. He could make comments about things here and there, but he could only stay focused for so long. He was counting the hours it would take for this to get over with.
Watching his Aunt get along with people was a small and rather amusing thing to watch. He had never really thought of her as a real person.... which was a pretty awful thing to say. Maybe he should just dwell on being happy with Femi by his side. That sounded like a good and safe plan.

It was so strange for Femi to be walking around as a human and she half held on to Kazifel for balance, still getting used to a different center of gravity and an extremely different style of motion. Not having a tail changed everything.
People were benignly sweet at her, which she liked quite a lot, and her father kept walking up to give her random hugs, which she adored. He may not have liked Kazifel, which she had slowly been realizing, but she knew that he was happy for her none the less. She had a beautiful family, a husband who adored her, and they were going to have a brand new house come early summer to give them some room to grow. Neither of them had ever seen this kind of thing in her future, and after giving birth to the children, they hadn't even been sure there would be a future to see.
But there was. And she had the man of her dreams to share it with.
After the reception party had been going on for a few good hours and Kazifel's aunt had started to get tipsy and chatty with some of the higher-ranking locals, Femi started steering them towards the edge of the gathering and then slipped off back to their house, giggling. No one would be bothering them for a few days and her parents had promised to look after the children until she came to collect them. "House all to ourselves, love," she whispered, looking up at him.
It made her happy that he was much taller than her as a human now. She always liked being able to tuck into his biped form, and now she could do it no matter what form they were in. And she was pink and hairless, like him, except for rather random places and the top of her head. She would have to get used to the strange legs and the weird ears. And the lips. Those would be strange. But that also meant she could kiss him properly now, as she'd done at the wedding. She stopped outside the door and wrapped around him to kiss him again. "I'm going to need practice learning how to use lips." She said it with another giggle.

Kazifel was, in a word, thrilled. He made a rather happy sound when she kissed him and pulled away to say what she did. Oh sky and stars above thank you. "Well, you'll have to get used to a lot of things. Maybe, though, we'll start with the lips and move our way down? Sound like a plan?"
With a sudden burst of energy, he picked up Femi in his arms. It was cheesy, of course, but he still always wanted to do something like this. Carefully he managed to open the door and quickly shut it behind him.
Without asking, Kazifel took Femi into the bedroom. It was the most logical place to be, since it was a living space as much as it was a bedroom. Soon it would be different, but until then Kazifel was quite happy with the set up. He was also quite happy with the events that would conspire that evening.

Femi gave a happy little squeal when he picked her up and clung to him, wrapping her arms firmly around his neck so that she wouldn't overbalance him and fall over. At the same time, she nosed at his cheek and down along his neck, doing her utmost to distract him along the way to his bedroom by kissing whatever she could reach. She wouldn't have let him take her anywhere else right now. This was their time, and they hadn't gotten to be properly romantic at one another since the children were born. Between her illness and the demands of five very different babies, most of which had the Club ability of screwed up sleeping habits, it was exhausting.
But now he was all hers, and they were in the bedroom, and she had a brand new form to explore. She tugged him down to the bed and clung to him like a leech, petting at his hair and face and neck with the strange, furless hands. Everything was so much more sensitive without a layer of fur in between it all.
-----------------------
The next morning, she woke up at ten and it felt absolutely glorious not to have to jump out of bed and feed other people. Instead, she just rolled over and snuggled up to her King. Her husband. Her Kazifel. "Aaaall mine," she muttered, burrowing into him.

Kazifel had woken up shortly after Femi wrapped her arms around him. He grinned at her words as he wrapped his arms around her in return. "All yours," he said in a sing song voice. He was happy not having to get up right away. Hell, he was happy just to be in a bed without having to move for any reason. Even though he should probably cook breakfast.
Honestly he could just fall asleep again and not really care. He closed his eyes and moved closer to Femi. It was nice being alone again. Having children and dealing with her parents was so stressful Kazifel thought he was just going to fall apart. This was the most amazing break he had ever had. "Do you want breakfast or do you just want to be here like this for a while..." he really would do either for her. They could do whatever they wanted for a few days.
