"We don't even need to think about moving until we want to," Femi replied, voice muffled as she buried her face in his soft hair before she pulled back enough to kiss his ear. Then she kissed it again and laughed. "I don't need breakfast. I just need you. We can go back to sleep again if you'd like, love. I'm still pretty tired."
Between one thing and another, she just felt run ragged. Or she had until yesterday, when the euphoria of being married took hold of her and carried her well into the night, along with... well. Everything else. She buried the fingers of one hand in his hair and rubbed at his scalp, pressing against the spot at the base of his skull that always made him turn into putty and sighing happily. She didn't want him going anywhere at all. Maybe if she turned him into jelly, he'd stay in bed until both of their stomachs started making too many noises to ignore.

Kazifel practically melted in her hands. He would have purred if it was possible. Instead he gave a happy sigh, leaned forward ever so slightly and kissed Femi on the forehead. This was the best thing that could have ever happened to him.
"Sleep sounds like a good idea," he said with the same singsong voice as earlier. Of course it was much more strained because he was already nodding off rather quickly. He hadn't slept for days previously because of nerves, now that he had nothing to worry about all the tired was starting to catch up with him.
He was happy this wasn't a dream. This fairy tale story was happening to him. He was finally happy and with someone he could love forever. Nothing bad had happened, nothing had gone wrong. Everything was more than just perfect. His thoughts trailed off as he nodded off, still holding Femi close to him.

The two of them slept well past lunch and woke sometime in the afternoon, somewhere too early for dinner and too late for lunch. Not that they really cared. Femi stretched out and sprawled on top of Kazifel, still bemused by the lack of fur but liking the strangeness. She kissed him awake and spent a few minutes just having fun with the fact that she had lips to brush against his cheeks and jaw before her stomach made a noise loud enough to make her giggle and break the mood.
"If you're up to it, dearest, dinner might be nice," she told him in a conspiratorial whisper, trying to hold back yet another noise of amusement as her stomach repeated its demand. They had enough food to last them a while, real food now that Kazifel was the one stocking the pantry and the icebox. "And if you ask me with a kiss, I'd be more than happy to brush out your pretty hair while you cook."
If there was one thing she could do better than anything, it was that. Hours spent primping and prettying her dolls as gently as she could left her with a very soft touch for hair.

What a wonderful way to wake up. He wiggled a bit under her to situation himself better. Oh, a kiss and she would comb his hair while he cooked? That sounded like a bargain he was more than willing to accept. He gave her a long and lingering kiss before pulling back and shifting out of bed.
Dinner. What could he make that was quick, tasty and was easy to make without a giant production. Well, they could always have breakfast for dinner. Pancake mix wasn't that hard too make properly while someone was getting the knots out of your entirely too long hair.
He hummed quietly through the whole process, until he had finished making two large stacks of pancakes for the pair of them. If Femi couldn't finish hers, he certainly would help her out. At the moment it felt like he could eat a bear. "Why not cook your favorite thing on such a wonderful evening?"

Femi saw him pulling out the pancake mix and did a little dance on the spot, squealing happily like a little girl being given her favorite toy. Or her favorite food. Or both. Yes, both would do. It helped that Kazifel was wearing nothing but his pants and looked pretty enough that she could just cry.
Except his hair needed her help. She scooted up behind him and started gently detangling, kissing his neck lightly as she went. They were at such a convenient angle and his hands were busy, so why couldn't she have fun while she played with his hair? Not that it wasn't fun anyway. And the pancakes smelled like butter and heaven.
His hair ended up in a loose braid when she was done, better to keep it out of the way when they went back into the room, and she wolfed down two of the pancakes in rapid succession. Her appetite, poor for much of her life and absolutely awful while she was sick, had started coming back that winter and now, by spring, was back to its old levels and a bit more. She was putting on enough weight to look healthy, which made her daddy incredibly happy.
The rest of the pancakes went to Kazifel and she watched him while he ate, occasionally sneaking a finger-swipe of butter from his plate.

Happy. Happy could never be a strong enough word for something turning out like this. This was the most fun he had had since.... well since ever. Everything was just going right, and he was right besides his Queen, his wife, and his everything. He couldn't even imagine what would have happened to him if he hadn't found Femi.
He didn't want to go down that road either. He was having too much fun. "All right, I'll slip these in the sink and then I'll be right back. You get to pick whatever we do, all right?" The man stood up and hummed the as he skipped to the kitchen, slipping the dishes in the sink and quickly running water over them.
He came back smiling and still humming. He wasn't about to stop with how happy he was. If he could tap dance he would have honestly done so just then. Instead he hugged Femi and kissed her on the cheek.

His chaste little kisses were cute, and even cuter when Femi was in the mood for more than cute. She'd been thinking about what he said when he ran into the kitchen and had come to a conclusion that had left her with a small giggling fit that she only calmed when he came back in the room.
"So it's still my choice, then? Well, fine. I'll do you. And you can do me. How does that sound?" The second it was out of her mouth, she had to forcibly fight down another fit of laughing. She was just so giddily happy, and now full of pancakes and with a beautiful shirtless man hugging her. What else was she supposed to think? It was all his fault. She hadn't thought about things like that at all until he went along and showed her how much fun they could be.
-----------------------------
The next few days went by much like the first, with the pair of them doing a whole lot of nothing besides catching up on sleep and each other. She'd missed being this romantic with him and everything he said just made her smile, colored as it was by the fact that this was their honeymoon and they were married now.

"Yes please," Kazifel automatically responded to the advance. Like he was going to say no to something like that.
---
Doing nothing was the best way to do things in Kazifel's opinion. He was quite sad that it was coming to a swift close. He knew it had to happen, but he was still slightly disappointed. As much as he loved the children, he didn't love the lack of sleep.
It was the last day of their little vacation when Kazifel found himself sitting on the bed, once again in nothing but a pair of pants. He was working on mending the suit that Josephine had given him to wear for the wedding. He was still amused at how they had managed to damage it.
He looked over to Femi, who was occupying herself with one of her dolls. "So, do we have anything planned for the up coming weeks?" He asked before going back to rethreading his needle.

Femi stroked her doll's cheek, the velvety texture against skin making her smile. She'd been switching from biped to human form a lot over the past few days, half to prove that she could and half because she was still more comfortable in her biped form, just like Kazifel was in his human form. It was also nice that her clothes were set to rights every time she transformed, a fact that was rather handy after her love had gotten a bit overzealous with some of the buttons. When they were summoned clothes, everything went right with a quick transformation. It was excellent.
She looked up at his question and admired the view for a minute before she shook herself and thought about an answer. Did they have anything planned besides picking up the children and checking in with her parents? "Well, we need to finalize the plans with the architect and give them all to the builders so that they can start on the house within the month. That should happen sometime in the next few days. Hmm. Besides that, I can't really think of too much else besides taking care of the children."

He sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. "Feels like I'm forgetting something and I can't quite put my finger on it." Kazifel shook his head in dismay as he went back to sewing the buttons back on the coat. There was something he simply had to be forgetting.
He knew it was Aunt Josephine. She had already given him what she wanted to and was probably already to the Highlands. He didn't really care even if he found out that she was a person with feelings, she was still his Aunt Josephine. The memories wouldn't go away, and he was happy to block out pieces of his childhood.
Well, at least finalizing the plans wasn't that difficult. Taking care of the children was always going to be a handful. He couldn't imagine what it was going to be like when they were all teenagers. Oh no, he wasn't going down that road.
