Fino's eyes half-lidded in sudden interest. "You know, pathetic little sapling, I do believe you're right. Those are both far too quick. I would derive no satisfaction from splitting you down the middle or burning you to a cinder with my beautiful little friends. Instead... why don't we see if we can find any other fears and bring them to light?"
He could feel the snakes in his mind and they weren't exactly happy with the sadistic bent of it, but at the same time they weren't as unhappy as they might have been if this person didn't feel and look so much like wood to them. They would be okay, he decided. He didn't want to upset them, but it was only some bizarre animated wooden doll. It wasn't actually a person.
"Yes, I would like the dungeons," the Queen agreed. "Why don't you get him down there for me and set him up on something restricting? Wouldn't want him to get loose before we're through."
