Trotting into the room, the little teal equine announced smugly to his uncle, "Daddy loves me more than anyone else." He grinned when he caught sight of the stallion and his companions. "Hi, Mommy! Who's this?"
The Queen sighed at his eldest son. "Irashin, this is Parvana and Anatolius. Where is Aiolos? Shouldn't he be watching all of you?" The equine sent the Morganberry mouse a sympathetic look.
"I think Aiolos is trying to kill himself!" the youngster answered cheerily. "He almost made it last week, but Daddy stopped him!"
"Okay, well, you go stop him this time and gather everyone up, okay? Uncle Aderlass and I have some business."
"Only if Parvana comes with me!" the colt announced cheerily and trotted over to lip at one of the wings and tug lightly to pull her away.
"No biting!" Rai answered in some alarm, but his eldest was more concerned with dragging the butterfly off than his 'mother's advice. The stallion desperately hoped that would end well. "Elyse!" he called out for one of the more responsible children. "Come help Ira!" Hopefully that would keep them all in check.
He sent Anatolius a rather apologetic look. "Again, rather overwhelming."

There was a cozy, if not chaotic, air within the apartment. The sort of air a building had when it was full of children and that, in and of itself, meant chaos even though these children -from the look and sounds of them- were more than just your generic handful of mischeif.
Regardless, Anatolius loved it.
He stepped inside with a heavily wagging tail, ears perked with interest, and a wide, wolfish grin. He was and always had been a family boy. The Morganberry canine had been born into a big family and had run the gambit from big brother's punching bag to his littlest sister's big defender. With time and circumstance he had grown apart from his family but he'd never lost his affection for children.
Parvana wasn't doing nearly as well, but An's cheer made her relax as well. She bowed her head once introduced to the intimidating King, unware that the very man who had brought them here was of an even more impressive rank. Mention about a certain Aiolos and suicide made her quite worried, especially once she was nominated to accompany the odd equine child to go find said possible suicide victim.
"A-Ah, O? A-Alright." She was a bit nervous, it was obvious in her voice, but she quickly got over it. Parvana was a very motherly figure, despite never having been around children, but she loved them nonetheless. So much so that she could even adjust to the odd boy that was leading her away. As they walked she recovered enough to speak up at long last. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Irashin... Where did you see Aiolos last?"
Meanwhile, Anatolius stood between Rai and Aderlass by himself. He wasn't quite sure why he'd been kept around when Whip and a King were apparently about to discuss building but he also wasn't about to question.
"Ah, it's not a problem really. I'm used to a bunch of rowdy lil' ones...I was brought up in a large family myself."

He looked between the two males that had been left in the main area. Their guest was, from appearances, a Morganberry just like himself. Raising an eyebrow at his friend he made a gesture towards the empty seats at the table. “Now that those munchkins are out of the way, why do you not take a seat? The name is Aderlass.” He held his paw out in greeting leaving the title of his name off on purpose.
“Ah, where are my manners? Is there anything that I can offer you Mr. . . . ? Tea, coffee, water?” As he waited for the males reply he quickly gathering up his papers, stuffed them back in the folder they had come from, away walked over to the counter to put them away in a safe spot where they would not get damaged.
It was not often that either of them, him or Whip, had visitors and usually when they did they had enough sense and fear of their guest’s life and opinion to not bring them here. They were Whip’s guest though, so he would let the man explain and lead the situation at hand.

Fortunately, neither of his guests had yet noticed Ira's kookiness in addressing his father, and Rai didn't want to have to explain that one unless he was absolutely forced to do so. He was pleased, then, when Aderlass stepped in to greet the other Morganberry.
"This is Anatolius," the stallion sent a swift glance towards the red canine to verify he'd gotten the name correct before sitting down himself at an empty seat. Well, he emptied it and then sat, ignoring the papers and books he found there and simply stacking them neatly on the table. "You two have a great deal in common." He made this nonchalant, as though he hadn't purposefully tried to arrange for the two men to meet. Though Aderlass would probably easily guess this motive; they both knew it wasn't wise to bring people over to Mnem and Minh's place without dire cause.
"I think he was going to try and drown himself in the laundry room!" Ira announced cheerfully, as though this wasn't a potentially extremely dreary subject. "That or Hadyn and Eir are trying to blow it up again!" Actually, the last time Ira had checked, Se was still entangled in the dirty sheets; a rather mean trick that he and Eir had engineered. Rubber bands were not Se's friend.

Anatolius hopped carefully up into a chair at the table, his tail thumping more slowly but with no less enthusiasm. "It's a pleasure, Aderlass. I'm Anatolius, as Whip said, but most just call me Tolius." He extended his paw to the unusual mouse, curious about the look that had momentarily passed between Whip and Aderlass but he said nothing. No use prying. "I'm not much for tea or water, coffee would be wonderful though."
His nights were typically on the longer side, he'd need the caffeine boost before it was over, he was sure.
Whip's comment caused Anatolius to perk his ears, tilting his head to peer at Aderlass. "Do we? How so? Aside from region and suit, of course." An couldn't see much that he had in common with the mouse. Aderlass was a King and An was nothing but a middle class boy, a 6 of Clubs from a family just as average.
Parvana was so baffled and overwhelmed by all the movement and conversation and, to be honest, the startling topic in and of itself that she hadn't even noticed the odd way Ira had addressed Rai.
"Oh my! Why would he be trying to down himself in the laundry room!?" Parvana was definitely not used to the crazy or the chaos of this situation, but she loved children and she figured she could put up with it if she could help out a bit. "Or? Oh... Why...?"
The poor butterfly stumbled over her own words for a few moments before finally giving up.
"Well just show me to the laundry room then. I suppose we will just have to stop them...whether Aiolos is attempting to drown himself or Hadyn and Eir are trying to blow something up."
What Parvana hoped was really happening, was that someone was doing laundry and that this little equine just had a massive -and somewhat morbid- imagination.

“It is a pleasure to meet you Tolius.” Giving a nod of his head he started over towards where the coffee kettle was after having put the papers away. Getting out everything that was needed to make the coffee he started on it before grabbing down three glasses. Whip had not said if he had wanted anything or not as well but he figured if the horse did not drink the coffee, he could. With all the papers he still needed to go through he was sure he could put the coffee to use.
At his friend’s comment about him and the canine having something in common he raised an eyebrow towards the equine in question though he was not going to say anything out loud about knowing what his friend had meant. That one comment could mean a lot of things and he doubted that it was something as simple as their region.

The stallion was less a coffee man as a beer man, but he would accept it. "I came across Anatolius in the streets tonight," the Marshdweller began in wot sounded like a complete non sequiter. "Some would-be toughs followed Parvana out of the bar and could almost have gotten her had Anatolius not stuck up for her." Still, besides Aderlass' penchant for saving everyone he came across in the streets, the connection was still blurry. "Despite his impressive physique--" the Queen sent the canine an amused, teasing glance. "Which certainly wouldn't have scared this group away, Anatolius has a rather interesting ability involving flames." If this wasn't an opening, Rai didn't know wot one was. ------- "Well," Ira replied to the woman's first comment. "Where else would he do it? Elyse and Daddy have experimental plants in the bathtub."
He continued to haul her along the hallway, abruptly pulling her into a doorway and addressing the two children sitting calmly within who seemed to be having a tea party. "Are Eir and Hadyn blowing anything up?"

Iphis finished pouring a cup of tea for Sarabeth--one of his choosier companions, she would only take her tea with exactly two tablespoons of honey, and was not satisfied until she had a delicate almond cake in front of her, either--and glanced up smiled cheerily at his brother and his new friend. A pretty butterfly. He liked butterflies. "Probably," he said brightly. "Last time I saw Eir and Hadyn, they were doing something mean to Se. I hope he's all right. Hadyn and Eir are not very nice sometimes," he said apologetically. "But they really don't mean anyone any harm." He lifted a cup and a cake at the butterfly. "Very pleased to meet you! I'm Iphis. Elyse and me and our friends"--he gestured to the dolls, who were busily enjoying their snacks--"are having tea. Would you like to join us?"

He raised his eyebrow higher at his friend’s mention of flames. That was something that interested him more then their both being from Morganberry. “Flames, eh? Wot exactly is it with flames that you can do, if you do not mind me asking?” Seeing that the coffee was ready he finished off making it and proceeded to pour it into the three cups. Carrying them to the table in three loads he also brought along a small container containing milk as well as another one filled with sugar. Motioning for each male to make their coffee the way they wanted it he sat back and waited for the canine’s answer if he was willing to give one. ~ Glancing up she saw the butterfly in the doorway. “Hello! I am Elyse.” She clarified for the female before continuing, “Wot is your name?” At Iphis offer for her to join them she gave a welcoming nod and smile. She was not sure Eir and Hadyn were . . . and that was probably a good question. When the two of them were missing it usually resulted in disaster.
