Shinrai smiled at Anatolius, a look he transferred to Aderlass shortly thereafter. He had known the two would make a good connection. He lifted his mug, "Here to new friends and new allies." He was, he had to admit, quite pleased with himself.
-----
"Being cut isn't too bad," the colt answered easily. "And it usually tastes good, too." Still.... Aiolos was too tasty to let just suicide. And Miss Parvana looked concerned about them. Well! Despite her misconception that Auntie Minh's lab could be seen briefly, that should definitely be their first stop. "To the lab!" he cried excitedly and proceeded to haul the poor woman after him.
Several flights of stairs, both up and down, which turned into wrong turns, later, they arrived at a door with a large sign proclaiming that all sponges and parasites should remain outside the premises at cost of life. Unconcerned by the threatening sign, Ira pushed the door open and leapt into the room with a loud, "TA-DAAAAA!!!!"

He was pleased to see that the canine was so excited over his power. He had learnt in the past that his control, or lack of it as well, had been something to admire. “I would not imagine that it would be too hard to improve your skill so that they were real. I imagine worse come to worse, there should be something that is enchanted that you can buy to help.”
At the canine’s words that he would join the courts if he should be able to gain a real ability he gave a generous smile, his tail giving a happy wave itself. “That is great news! I look forward to seeing you again in the future then. Please feel free to contact me at any point if you ever just want to just talk of need help,” he offered. The canine did seem like someone who would do well in the Court and if he decided otherwise it would still be nice to stay friends with the male.
At Whip’s toast he raised his own glass repeating the same words, “To new friends and new allies."

Anatolius gave a cheerful little bark, tail wagging joyously. "To new friends and new allies!"* * * Parvana twitched a little, shaking her had in protest as she was rushed around the halls. O she didn't want to be cut! She wasn't very good at dealing with pain! Fluttering her wings in distress, the butterfly submitted to the colt's eager leading. The sign caused the little Corvie to flinch, her eyes widening. Cost of life!? "Is this a good i-idea!?" She gasped out, but it did her no good for she was rather abruptly drug into the laboratory which shook with the resounding 'ta-da' Ira had belted out. Parvana just trembled, looking disconcerted and baffled. "How... Will we know if they are there?" Her expression was absolutely priceless and, were it not for her dark fur, her face would have been pale with fear. She didn't want to be cut, and she didn't want to find any dead bodies either!

Shinrai grinned lightly, taking a deep swallow of coffee. He glanced back at his mug in bemusement. It was strange to toast with this rather than something more appropriate; like beer. Ah, well. Rai put it from his mind and turned his attention to getting to know the canine a little better. "So, Anatolius... Where do you work?"------- Ira took a moment to contemplate her question, tail flicking from side to side like a cat's. "I suppose," he said thoughtfully. "That someone will jump out and try to cut us." The boy didn't seem aware of Parvana being freaked out and acted as though this whole things were simply a matter of course. Somewhere in here more of his siblings were probably hiding. He tugged on one of her wings again and gave her a confident grin before beginning to trot further into the room, hooves clicked loudly on the floor. It almost seemed like he was determined to make as much noise as possible.

Now wasn't that an awkward question. Well, not typically -- not for Tolius at least, he usually had not shame -- but he was now sitting in front of a King whom he was trying to impress, if only slightly. He was really interested in perhaps joining the Courts, doing something more with himself... But, well... "To be entirely honest, I work for Roxanne." The name was rather familiar around pubs and the like and considering Whip had found them around there... Well, he hoped the man knew. It'd be easier to say than blatantly exclaiming that he was a whore although the effect was the same in the end. The canine cleared his throat a little. "And you, Whip?"* * * Vana was trembling a little and her wings fluttered almost constantly in a nervous tick of distress. She didn't want to be cut and Ira was making it sound like someone really was going to cut them. Oh lord, why was she here? Because she liked children a good deal and enjoyed their company and, apparently, someone might already be hurt and she really didn't want that to happen. She couldn't just leave someone hurt. That and, to her dismay, she had offered to find Aiolos with the others. Drat her moral conscience! Swallowing heavily, she found herself tucking even closer to the noisy little colt. This was going to be the doom of her, she just knew it. (Should I be waiting for someone else to pop in now? XD)

((Okay, so. Apparently I'm supposed to reply to this. X3))i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa124/Gryphowizardgirl/dark3.png[/img] Aiolos would never quite be sure why or even how he was alloted the task of watching Minh's and Mnem's children; he didn't like people and he especially didn't like children, but despite his best efforts they simply wouldn't leave him alone. Needless to say, it wasn't with any joy that he was searching for Hadyn, but if there was one person that he felt even the remotest amount of attachment to it was Minh, and as a result he felt some burgeoning sense of responsibility when it came to her children. And since Elyse was such a well-mannered child, he only had Hadyn to chase after. His eyes slide irritability towards the door of the lab, knife steady in his hand. "Ira. Didn't I leave you tied up somewhere?" -- Hadyn peeked out from behind the cupboard he was hiding behind, ears twitching as he kept an eye out for Eir at the same time he spied on the drama happening towards the entrance. Aiolos was so totally going to rip Ira a new one. It couldn't be more brilliant if he'd planned it himself. ((Hopefully I got this all straight. XD))

Roxeanne? Hearing the madam's name surprised the stallion, though he kept it from showing on his face. His reply was easy-going and light, keeping the potentially difficult topic from becoming one. "Oh, is that so? I hope business goes well for you." Not that he was particularly embarrassed about whores, but perhaps admitting to sponsoring one into any of the Courts was a trifle socially incorrect. "I own a tour business," the stallion answered. "And I've recently entered into the Courts myself." He turned to the mouse rather than continue on that particular subject. "That makes it your turn, Aderlass."----------------------------- Ira turned at the sound of the bat's voice and gave the man a benevolent grin. "Aiolos! You haven't hung yourself!" He didn't seem the least bit leery of the knife nor the displeased expression on the Ace's face. "You left Se tied up, I think." He corrected the Highlander Heart lightly, as though the man were the child and not he. "But that's fine; he won't get in the way now."

The mouse could gave a nod of his head at the canine's response of what he currently did for a living. The moue was definately not one to judge people on what they did with their life, though he was a full supporter of those who wanted to raise themselves being allowed the chance.
Maybe this Tolius would also be extremely useful in that campaign if he joined he Courts.
At the equanie's comment that it was now his turn to share he raised an eyebrow before playfully replying, "I suppose that is true. Well I would have to say that I was running the Jewerly Shop that is on the corner of the Bazaar, but with everything going on in the Court I have had to leave it mostly in the care of the new manager I hired."
He gave a mournful sigh as if it was something that really saddened him.

Vana twitched as the Ace came around the corner, her expression twisting into pure confusion and a decided lack of understanding as her wings -- or wing, rather, as Ira had the tip of the other in his mouth -- began to flutter nervously. "Uh... Ira... He has a knife." Then again, the colt had already expressed knowledge of the babysitter having just that...or even cutting them. Getting cut was so far down on the list of things she wanted to do that it wasn't even funny. * * * Anatolius sighed a little to himself, glad that neither man had seemed entirely displeased with his current occupation. Not that he truly minded these sort of conversations. More often that not they ended up bringing in new clients and, to be entirely honest, Tolius would've pleased to 'work' with either of these men on far more than a court level. "It's worked out rather well for me as of late." He chuckled a little and smiled to Rai. "A tour business? That seems rather interesting, have you got to see many places?"His attention traveled back to the Morganberry once he spoke, his tail thumping pleasantly all the while. Now jewelry...that was something that notably caught the canine's interest. His eyes brightened a little and he leaned forward ever so slightly. "O? That's a pity, Aderlass." His tail continued to wave a little though his expression retained its curiosity. "You will have to show it to me someday, I'd love to see it."
