He watched as the canine's expression shifted to one of delight and the need ot know what it might be that the chipmunk had to share. This was probably helped along by the fact that he didn't happen to have his spear on him ... but he was completely and thoroughly shocked that this was actually working. It took everything he had not to just start laughing with the dog ... oh suits this was too easy.
Well, you'll need to come closer! I only want to tell you, not those mangy mutts .... just you!
His little brushy tail wiggled behind him some more as his expression genuinely lightened. If he could persuade the tweedle-dumb of the group into striking range he could take one of them out right off the bat in the easiest manner. Of course that meant he had to bite the disgusting, filthy, rotting thing... but he could stomach that if it meant he got to watch the thing suffer ... even for a little bit.

At the fluff ball's words that he needed to come even closer to the male in order to hear the secret the canine shifted closer. It never occurred to him that the Marshlander before him might be an enemy out to actually hurt him. After all no one had in the past. Well not with the intention of causing him pain. Not even Zeus. It was unheard of.
Crouching down to the smaller male's size he came as close to the Marshlander as he possibly could, right along besides him if he was allowed.
"Is this close enough?" He asked, not whispering so his team mates would still be able to hear him, though he still acted as if he was being secret-y. He continued to wiggle his tail excitedly. "Can you tell me the secret now, huh? Can you, can you, can you?"

As the canine moved closer and closer with that excited, dumb look, wagging his tail ... Jarvis had to try harder and harder not to just fall over laughing. This was quite possibly the most pathetic little thing he'd ever run across and the group decided to have him be their representative? Either they were all a pack of idiots, which he really wouldn't doubt... Lowlanders weren't exactly intelligent creatures after all, or they underestimated him completely. Or was it that, maybe, without their Queen around they were all horribly lost and unable to think for themselves? He wouldn't doubt that either.
Ok, ok .... I'll tell you!
He leaned in the grin on his face shifting from amused to something a few shades darker before he lunged forward, maw open, in an attempt to not only sink those long, sharp fangs into the canine but also inject him with a dose of the venom he'd acquired, the venom that had the side effect of making him and eight legged freak as well.
Poison: He now secretes from his fangs a rather strong partially paralytic poison. He is able to give an amount of it off to an opponent once per week, trying to use it more often than that can cause a weaker dose of the venom to be administered, and him to slide into a month-long coma. The poison causes an opponent to begin frothing at the mouth and slowly lose the ability to see within the course of a minute. This will continue to occur for a full hour as their throat runs completely dry and they begin to vomit bile to wet their esophagus. Most will wilt after five minutes of this torture, though Kings and Queens have been known to continue fighting...and in a deadly manner. This poison also makes Cards ranked 8 and lower slow after five minutes, and it takes enormous effort to preform tasks. Running is out of the question.

With his ear now being in line with the mouth of his 'opponent'. Caught up in the thrill of the moment he did not see his new friend's face change from equal merriment to that of something darker. The canine did however see a blur of movement that was not associated with someone simply leaning forward to whisper a secret.
The action too quick Trot had no time to react to the movement. As he felt something cold, something that burn seem to spread from the site that he had been bitten on the throat. Giving a small whimper he tried his best to wiggle away but was unsuccessful. He would be held there till the fluff ball released him.
As soon as that deep, penetrating cold started to spread the canine slowly noticed that the world was slowly going black. He had a moment of confusion, it was not sun set yet before he fell to his knees. Laying there, breathing hard, it would be obvious to others that he started to froth at the mouse though all Trot was aware of was the pain. It was much worse then he was used to with Zeus.

Obadiah had honestly not been paying a lot of attention to the squishy little chipmunk, not thinking him enough of a threat, freakish though he seemed. He'd been looking down the corridor down which Zeus had disappeared, wondering if everything was all right.
Looking back, the thing was now on some thinner legs, like a bug or spider. Weird, and probably not good. And here came Trot, offering up his neck like a holiday turkey that thought it was winning a prize. Not that Obadiah had ever had turkey. Or much of a holiday.
"Trot, you idgit - " he began when the infidel sunk fangs into him. Should have seen that coming. With the attack, though, the fight was started, and even by an infidel in his own Court. Now they were just defending themselves, not that Obadiah needed an excuse to to wail on someone. It would just make things neat and clean with the authorities later.
"That's enough of that, boy," he said, stepping into the chipmunk and giving him a good backhand. He didn't activate his Jack ability, though. He'd most likely need it in a minute, once the cavalry rode in. Besides, the toy wasn't worth the effort it would take to activate the spell.
((not an attack, but the character came with the note -
Notes: His rot has exposed most of the muscle structure on his neck, leaving him highly vulnerable to attack. AS a result he has built of his body strength to rival that of most Lowlander’s in general, being hit with his forearm is like being hit with a sack of bricks and he easily weighs 300 lbs....of solid muscle. ))

He'd keep his fangs sunk into flesh until the canine wilted beneath him, pulling them out as he did. He'd been focused on the one, but he was fully expecting some sort of retaliation ... just not as quick as it came. He twitched his little notched ear and turned his head to see another one approaching, but he was to close for him to simply skitter off and he got a face full of paw. Jarvis was not that heavy of a creature, being a chipmunk, and he was balanced on long, spindly legs, which made it worse.
The hit pulled a very vermin little squeak from his maw and he was knocked completely off his 'feet' and backward, landing with an 'oof' as he did. Oh suits that hurt, a simple backhand from a paw really shouldn't have felt like that ... then again the dog was rather large. He curled up his delicate legs, hoping none of them was cracked or broken, they took forever to heal, and took a moment to collect himself... glaring at the canine that hit him from his present position.
Stupid, filthy Lowlanders.

Cavalry arrived, just not necessarily in the form Jarvis might have expected. In fact, the Lowlander Queen who stepped out of the building with a black eye and bleeding arm was grinning quite as though he had won the fight all by himself.
"We're moving out!" the rotting Queen of Hearts announced, and he strode right past the crumpled Lowlander and through his pack. He glanced down at the frothing, twitching body of Trot and gave a small sigh, though a flare of concern had lit threw his eyes.
"Obadiah, get Trot." The Hellhound leader moved onwards, dripping blood with one eye beginning to swell shut and pondered how, over all, it really had been a good day.
Shinjou glanced at Trot's body in alarm, his eyes skimming over to try and ascertain what had caused the reaction, but he moved on with his captor; silent and pensive.

Obadiah grunted and grabbed the seizing Lab by the scruff of his neck, tossing Trot up on Obadiah's own back. He'd have made Trix or Mirek do it, but he really didn't know if they were built for hauling like he was. They'd pay for it later, somehow, though.
"What the $%&* happened to you?" he asked off-handedly, though he was a little concerned. Something had gotten a hold of him, that was for sure. Then again, he was walking out like he owned the place, so maybe Zeus did have something of the Prophecy in him. Nah. He did want to know what had chewed him up like that, though. He bore the weight of Trot easily as they made their exit or retreat, depending on who one might ask.
All that Elias found when he and Whip arrived on the scene of the fight was an injured Jarvis and the smell of filth and rot. It seemed the Court of Hearts had an infection.
