Fireworks? Why the snot would they need to know where the fireworks were? For less than a second, distaste flashed across his face, but just as quickly it was gone again. These two were absolute morons. They didn't even deserve to live.
Still, Thalia would be difficult to get rid of; the flamboyant Card would be quickly missed. When he went after her, he'd have to cover his tracks well.
Despite wot he might want, today was a bad day. Their Queen father was already up in arms about the two servants-- three if someone thought to check that far back armoury in the northwest corner-- and would certainly be overly wary about his movements for another week or two at the very least. He would have to move his hunting back out to the Capital for awhile.
He put on a thoughtful face, shifting his weight without actually needing to. "Well, I'm not entirely certain, but I bet we could find it."

Tosiek found the whole trip to the medic exceedingly interesting despite the fact that Thalia was bleeding. Again. He was also aware, however, of her ability to completely ignore all pain and discomfort when she was on the track of something, so the boy often just waited for the Corvie mix to tell him when she was ready for medical care. As she had this time.
Still, Eir's aid was unexpected and from the horror tales he'd heard from her about her family-- though she hadn't actually meant them as horror stories, which made them all the more frightening-- he wasn't entirely certain he wanted to trust the scary looking equine. Now, however, her older half-brother seemed to be doing very well.
There was no question that Thalia would want to go searching for the fireworks, even if they weren't certain where they might be yet, so the winged mix prepared to leave.

The prospect of taking home a stockpile of expolsive material charmed her beyond all reason, and she was still figuring out how they were going to smuggle it out of the Court undetected, especially since she suspected Eir might tattle.
Perhaps if Tosiek spun some kind of wild tale about needing to take care of an invading menace that was threatening their apartment and could only be destroyed by pretty explosions? But Tosiek seemed not to be faring very well in the Court; he needed something to boost his confidence so he could again be the blatant and shameless liar she knew and adored. Maybe she could get Queen Rai to give it to her as a gift. Though Rai was very acquainted with her family and likely would recognize this as a terrible idea.
Drat.
She let Eir lead the way through the palace; her brothers were there a lot more often than she was. With any luck, they wouldn't run into trouble.

Since the two kiddoes evidently did desire it, Eir headed off so they could hopefully find the desire fireworks. Inwardly he was shaking his head. This really was stupid. Though. . . a dark smile dropped briefly over his features as his mind began to work out a plan. They could have a terrible accident. It would be too bad, but Eir had never tried fireworks cooked flesh, and one or both of the kids seemed like a good starting point.
He played tour guide as they walked, pointing out doors and informing the two of what was behind them. Of course, if they bothered to open them (or Thalia just glanced), it would be obvious that he was only right about half the time. Eir didn't actually care, but he was at least trying to be interesting. Or something.
Still, they made it past the northwest armoury and headed for a little special closet off to the side, where Eir thought there really might be fireworks.

Tosiek was way more uncomfortable than he cared to admit, but he certainly wasn't sure what else he should be doing besides just following after the older boy. He glanced towards Thalia and she seemed somewhat awkward as well. Perhaps it really was just her older half-brother's presence and not anything more.
The skunk hybrid took the 'tour' with natural aplomb, occasionally asking questions which were greatly ignored. This lead the winged hybrid into believing that the equine was making up everything he said. And yet somehow he knew where the explosives were. Again, this was oddly not comforting.
Suddenly everything was a mass of confusion and voices and men and stifled screams. Tosiek had no idea how it had begun, something about men bursting forth from the explosives closet and the armoury, and then there were bags over heads and ropes binding wings and suddenly they were all being bundled off in darkness and more confusion.

Thalia had never been kidnapped before, but she felt like she dealt with the situation in the appropriate and natural manner of a child--she screamed like hell, until the sound was abruptly smooshed out of her mouth ("Shut up, you impudent little brat!"), and then she kicked and thrashed and generally tried to make a terrible nuisance of herself. The dim hope was that whoever had grabbed them would consider them to be far too much trouble than they were worth and let them go.
But evidently they were worth quite a bit, because their captors continued ferrying them off into the void. Tying down all of Thalia's unruly limbs was difficult, but the task was managed.
They must have been awfully damn crafty, for none of the palace guard to have caught them. She really wished she had her explosives. Blowing these people to hell sounded more appealing by the moment. But it was a hopeless fantasy. The quick rush of moving bodies seemed to indicate that they were going somewhere very far away, very fast.

Eir did not do well when he was surprised and this had-- he would admit only to himself in the deepest, darkest inner reaches of his own mind-- surprised him quite a bit. As such, they'd gotten the first loop around his neck before he'd exploded into action, hooves flying out in a deadly rain. Of course, he'd proven less a problem after that initial burst of fatal reaction, but only because someone had quickly decided that the colt was of better use to them unconscious.
Something hard clocked him in the back of the head and while they didn't quite manage fully unconscious, they were able to acquire a high degree of limpness. Captured now in a glazed sort of mindset, Eir couldn't fight further as his legs were quickly tied together and someone threw him up and over their shoulders. Whoever it was, he smelled like musk and he was large and strong, for the teenager was hardly a lightweight himself.

Tosiek attempted one actual growl-- which got him smacked quite hard in the back of the head-- and then decided that it was in his best interest to hold his rebellion for such a time that it might actually do some good. Unfortunately, this golden opportunity didn't seem to be presenting itself to them, and with the bag over his head, he was inclined to just follow the lead of whoever currently held his lead rope, even though his mind was telling him that probably wasn't the best course of action.
As they hurried quickly along the twists and turns of the Palace corridors, he could only assume the back ways, the hybrid got more and more lost. A sudden whiff of fresh air, however, and he tensed up, ready to make his break for freedom, but then they were bustled into some sort of vehicle and a loud thump set it into motion.
"Did you see Harvey?" a low voice inquired near the skunk mix, and Tosi jumped, wondering exactly how he was supposed to answer that as he didn't know who Harvey was nor was he able to see anyone.
"The little *#$^ kicked his head in!" A voice on the other side snarled and the sound of flesh hitting flesh took the place of words, though it was short-lived.

She hoped her big brother had kicked this Harvey person's face in so bad that his brain went all squishy and fell out. And then got eaten up by maggots.
She wished she could demand to know where they were going and for what nefarious purposes they were so cruelly snatched from the palace, and she made a small effort to chew through the cloth gag that been stuffed into her mouth, but she couldn't spit it out and it was too much to swallow. She settled for making indignant noises about what her Queen Rai was going to do to them when he found out about this mess. Because what he was going to visit upon them would be horrible and painful and worse than death, she was sure.
But revenge was going to have to come later. For now, they were merely carried away, farther and farther, and every once in a while Thalia would be shifted from one person to another. She was sure that this process was taking an eternity, but likely they had only been traveling for a few hours.
Finally, at last, they were deposited on the ground. The blindfold remained--but Thalia could guess that they were perhaps still in the Highlands, depending on what direction they were headed. Maybe the Gardens or the forest around the path that lead to Capital City.
The gag, mercifully, came out. Thalia opened her mouth to begin the tirade that she had been rehearsing in her head for hours, but her mouth was immediately stuffed with food.
"Eat up, brat," a rather rude voice sneered at her. "Can't have the lot of you starving to death on the journey. Don't get too comfortable, though. We won't be resting here long."
Thalia nearly gave in to the impulse to spit the hard lump of bread into the face of whoever that terrible voice belonged to, but she ate it instead.
