Calia laughed cheerfully. Her daughers had certainly been doing an outstanding job at getting out into the world, and she was extremely happy to hear that a kind woman such as Dilis had enjoyed meeting them. Her feathers fanned out with pleasure at the compliment, eyes sparkling. "I would be more than happy to send them your regards,[/b]" she replied easily, feeling quite comfortable with the two women. The music that floated around their heads was a perfect background. "It was difficult raising five children, but I'm very happy to hear that you feel I've done a reasonable job at it.[/b]"
When Dilis rose to get herself another drink, Calia politely declined her offer. She still had a little more than half of her own beverage, and when the feline left she took a small sip of it, smiling at the butterfly. "Before the night is through, I'll be sure to get you my address.[/b]" she set the glass down with a happy chirp. "I plan on leaving my job soon to become an ambassador for the Spade and Diamond courts, actually, so I'll have some free time when that happens if you'd like to meet up for a trip like that.[/b]"

Parvana listened with wide-eyed intent as Dilis and Calia spoke of their children. She had always loved kids, they were so sweet and so much fun as well. Five, though, might have been a bit much at once... and yet Calia had done a wonderful job from what Dilis knew of them.
That was so wonderful.
As Dilis got up and went to fetch drinks, Parvana shook her head lightly to decline the offer. "No thanks, I'm fine with what I have. Thank you though."
She turned her attention back to Calia then, surprised by her mention of becoming an ambassador... Ooo! That was a positively wonderful thought. "You know, I've always been curious about the Court of Spades... I would love to take such a trip with you, especially if I could see the Courts as well. I bet they're both wonderful, too." For a small town girl that hadn't seen much of the world, it truly did sound amazing and to be an ambassador no less!
Very few people appreciated the value of keeping the peace.

Dilis walked up to the bar, noticing that a cute Torque boy was staring at her. She blushed wildly and smiled to him, not entirely sure if she wanted to talk to him. Flirting was never a strong thing for her so she was mostly afraid of making a fool of herself. It did not hurt her to smile though and wave, so she did.
She got her drink from the bartender who told her that the Torque had paid for it. Hm... interesting. Rather than talk to him though, she just made her way back to the girls and sat down quietly next to Calia. Parvana and Calia seemed to having a nice conversation and she didn't want to disrupt them. She peered back at the torque, blushing madly when she saw he was still looking. Maybe that was rude of me to just walk away after he bought me that drink...

"They really are amazing,[/b]" the sparrow commented, nodding as she thought of the court of Diamonds in particular. It wasn't so much the court itself she loved - but the people who were in it, the people who she was able to surround herself with every time she visited. "Oh, this will be fun...[/b]" She glowed with those words, eyes closing slightly and feathers fluffing up comfortably.
Calia smiled happily and watched as Dilis spoke to the bartender, reclining with a happy-sounding chirp as she did. Her eyes closed completely for a moment. The music filled the air around her, and when the song had ended she burst into wild applause, rising from her chair. When the applause had passed, she grinned at Dilis.
"That man is checking you out... Maybe you should go talk to him?[/b]" it wasn't that she wanted the cat out of their converstion, but that she thought the woman should take advantage of such a handsome stranger.

Parvana could not help but glow with pleasure. Calia's happiness was nearly contaigous. The little butterfly beamed and bobbed her head. "It really will be. I haven't gotten much chance for travel, and to such wonderful places... I'd be ever so thankful." She laughed lightly, eyes sparkling.
Parvana was, in the brief lull in their conversation, entirely distracted by the lovely music playing through the cafe. How nice... She too settled back, basking in the sound of the music and the warm vibrations everything was giving off.
And then everyone was up and applauding and Parvana lifted her two foremost paws to do the same. Everything about this evening was positively lovely.
When Dilis returned, Vana hesitated and tilted her head. Oh? Had someone been checking her out? That was nice too, most girls enjoyed such attention even though it had the tendency to make Vana terribly nervous. She simply didn't know how to reply to such advances...

((Sorry it took so long, I have pneumonia again))
Dilis blushed madly at all the attention... well, it was rude otherwise...
"Oh, I am not sure... I think that he might think me too forward if I did that. I guess it would not hurt to say hello though.." she mused. She sat a few moments sipping her drink and then made a decision. She was going to do it and everyone be damned what they thought.
"You are right Calia, I am going to do it" she smiled gratefully. She got up once more and walked toward the handsome Torque.
"Thank you... for the drink that is" she said meekly as he arrived in front of him."
"Well now, I didn't know if you were gonna come over or not" he grinned.
"Name's Robert, what's yours pretty lady?" he crooned as he took her paw.
"Oh well-I- I am Dilis. It is very nice to meet you Robert, what made you want to buy me a drink though?"
"Well... you were the only one I saw sitting so prim and proper while the music played. Most everybody else is hooting and hollering, I just wanted to meet you and see if everything about you was proper" he grinned lecherously at his joke. This dame was going to be something else he felt, too bad she was with friends.

Mildewed Cravat: This once rather regal looking cravat is now a bit holey and has odd stains covering it. It gives an odd crackle to the air around it and most can tell that it contains at least a small bit of magic...I wonder what it does?
