The thought of being intimate with the serpent was, in fact, an exciting thought. For now, however, Damien pushed it to the back of his mind. There were other things at stake now, and he could clearly see that this might be his only real chance to do this one thing. "I hope that you can feel safe with me even outside of a bed, Viviane.[/b]" the lizard grinned widely, his blush finally fading as he grew more confident with himself and the rather strange request he knew he needed to make.
"You see.. I fancy myself to be a bit of a musician,[/b]" he began quietly, running the fingers of one hand across the webbing that stretched between the digits. He hated the fact that he was always so bad with speaking. Whenever he was even the slightest bit nervous, the flow of words that normally came so easily to his mouth seemed to stop completely. "I was wondering... Could I interest you in accompanying me to my house to listen? It would mean a lot to me,[/b]" he added, as almost a sort of afterthought.

Viviane certainly wasn't as strong as the lizard, and his power to stop the blushing had failed. Despite himself he was blushing something horrible. He might as well have been a Kahmden mix with the color of his face being as it was. "I do..." he admited to himself and to Damien. He did. As far as he was concerned, and maybe it wasn't the best way to look at things, if he was comfortible and safe in the idea of bedding Damien, it wasn't that far of a leap to trust him outside of bed. He just wished that his lingering doubts would leave.
He decided, the only way to probably do that was...to trust him. Hang out with him a little more and try to read him. The oppertunity came up in a lovely way. Music! "Oh! A Musician! I love music." he said sweetly with a smile, for once finally not blushing after saying something. "I would love to join you! What instrument do you play?" he looked down at his plate as he asked making sure he was done with everything, which he was. He was very interested and eager now. He had not seen a musician upon looking on the lizard, but now he was truely curious. He loved watching other people enjoy their hobbies, probably why he had become friends with the Pantheress at the lakes, and probably why he had grown to love koi as much as he did.

He wasn't entirely sure how to respond to Viviane, but his smile grew warm as the lizard was told that he was trusted. It sparked a kind of joy inside of him that he had no idea how best to put to words, so he hoped that his smile would tell the snake exactly how happy he was to hear those two small words.
Damien was almost shocked by the Lakeland serpent's excitement at the prospect of listening to him play. All his life, he'd been forced to hide his habits, as both his mother and father were extremely disapproving of such frivolity, as they called it. His home was extremely dangerous, and the young lizard's time would have been better spent just learning how best to survive in it. "I play guitar, actually. I'm.. not very good, but I've worked at it for a very long time, and I'd love to know what you think of it.[/b]" he shook the unhappy memories from his mind, eyes shining with a frightened kind of excitement. The prospect of spending more time with the snake in a somewhat neutral environment was also quite exciting to him, and his tail began to sway in an outward sign of that excitement.

Viviane was glad that the lizard wasn't embarrassed anymore. He had felt badly for making the lizard feel awkward. Though he recoiled a little when the lizard seemed suprised about something. Was he suppose to have refused the offer to come to his house? Or maybe the lizard had his own internal battle going on that had been similar to his. Maybe the lizard also didn't have many friends or people interested in what he could do. "Oh Guitar! I love the guitar...well...I love all string instruments really...the sounds they make are lovely when done right." he was excited now. Soon he would be spending time with a new friend and listening to lovely music! "I'm sure if youve worked on it for as long as you say, your very good. Well, better then I would be at any rate." he giggled a bit wiggling a bit to show the fact that he had absolutely no limbs to even play with if he wanted to.
He looked around, hoping the waitress would come soon to give the check...unless he had missed that Damien had already played. He could hardly contain his excitement. None of the whores in the gangs really had any hobbies outside of well....sex...and sometimes it was just nice to get a bit of change and mix it up a bit. It had been a very long time since anything had been anything but his normal nightly rutine.

Xenon and FP both receive 2 tokens each, to be redeemed in Ashwin's Shoppe. This will automatically be added to your recorded totals in the shoppe. Congratulations, and keep up the good RP!

Damien chuckled as the snake wiggled his lack of limbs, settling back into his chair with a wide and lazy smile. "I can see the difficulty, for sure.[/b]" he remarked, holding up one webbed forelimb and wriggling the thick digits thoughtfully. "I had a lot to work through, myself. But if you spend most of your lifetime at something, you can find ways to make it work.[/b]"
There had been a lot of difficulty for the lizard when he'd decided that he wanted to dedicate his life to music. He owed a lot of it to his Jack's ability, and to the... circumstances... That caused him to abandon his childhood home. Golfam was a dangerous place to practice something like an instrument, and Damien had worked hard to make sure he was able to hone his skill to the point of being listenable.
As the waitress returned with the check, Damien gave her a small smile as he paid, then slid out of his seat. Ahh, the cobblestones had been warmed by the sun and felt absolutely divine on his feet, and the grin that was plastered on his face should tell the serpent exactly that. "I have an apartment in Capital City. It's not far from here, but...[/b]" the lizard trailed off, licking his lips thoughtfully as he turned away. What state was the place in? He had cleaned recently, so it shouldn't be too bad... "It's pretty small, and I'm not used to guests, so it might be a little messy.[/b]" There was more than just a hint of embarassedness to his tone.

The snake noded his head, agreeing fully with the sentiments of the lizard. He sucked in a sigh, prefering not to let it escape. It had been a very true statement. His entire life he was taught to act like a girl, and while he had an obvious disadvantage because he was a male, he had learned how to become a woman fairly well, to the point where he had been mistaken for one multiple times now in his career. When he had been kicked from his birth home, that was the only skillset he had, and he indeed found a way to make it work...even if in the end it wasn't the best choice he could have made. But really...what other choice did he have with no other talents?
He didn't utter a word as he slithered onto the warm cobblestones, face contorting into a very similar smile to Damien's. It was such a nice sensation against his scaled and furred underside, that Damien could only be heard in the background, before Viviane snaped himself back to reality to listen to what he had to say. He shook his head a little, heading away from their table now that the lunch had been paid for, taking one last look at the reptile filled restaurant before heading away from it, with a head cocked back at Damien, asking to lead the way, "I don't get detered by messiness. Roxanne's make-shift brothal isn't exactly spit shine perfect either...and boy...when it's messy...well...you don't want to know." he shivered a little bit. How many times had he accidently rolled into an ambiguous stain when he was sleeping? He didn't want to try to remember.
