Parzifal wasn't quite sure what to say. The news wiped the tentative smile of amusement right off his face and he stared in mortification at the three of them, eyes remaining on Rosemary after the others.

How was he supposed to respond to that? He'd met Alphonse briefly during one or two of their mother's visits to Vren's tower when he was young. He'd always stayed as far away from the vampire as possible on his master's orders and hadn't thought much of him. But to learn that your sibling was dead... for anyone... that was horrific. How could anyone hope to be cheered up from that by 'celebrating' with dinner? He swallowed and gave her an uneasy glance.

"I'm very sorry to hear that," he said, one of the most diplomatic and sincere responses that he could muster. "I'd still be happy to cook dinner, Parsley, if you don't feel like ordering takeout."

News of this tragedy only made him wonder what had become of his own siblings. Would anyone come and find him if something happened to one of them? Would he even know?

Parsley made a frustrated sound before shaking his head. He didn't want to deal with anything at the moment. Especially the idea of food with his sister. "No, just... I'm going back to my workshop," he said after a moment.

Rosemary watched as her brother slipped out of the room with a frown on his face. So much for cheering him up. Oh well he always did have his own way to go about things.

Sage gave a small sigh as she looked to Parzi and Rosemary. Her wings even seemed to droop. "Maybe we should get going, Rosemary?"

"Nonsense," she said before taking a small sip of tea. "I'm going to make dinner for everyone. Then we can get going and leave Parsley to himself. I just want to feed him before he crawls into a hole or something."

Her words were final, it seemed that she wasn't going to go until her mission was accomplished.
