Rosemary's nose flared. Her brother was such an ass. "You lose Alphonse, because I'm not listening to you anymore. She'll stay out of the bedroom but I need to take care of her injuries NOW. Frankly, I hate outsiders as much as the next Tulgey but.... since I've been outside of the Wood I've realized that there are good people out there. If you have a problem with that and this whole situation, go running to Mommy and Daddy."
The wolf turned her back to her brother and nodded her head to the men and the girl. "Set her down in the kitchen. My brother is being an asshat, so I won't be sleeping tonight." If her brother decided to attack her then there were serious problems. They were family so they shouldn't be stabbing each other in the back.
She paused for a moment in the door frame to look back at Alphonse. "You know, Daddy is an outsider too. If Mommy hadn't given him a chance.... then we wouldn't be here." With that said she went to usher her "guests" into the kitchen.

((So, uh. Sorry. xD He likes to use his time thinger to avoid things that upset him.))
Alphonse was so angry, and hurt, and... and angry! Rose was supposed to be the smart one, dammit! She was supposed to get things! He really, really didn't want to deal with this. It was just awful. Would it have been better to avoid the situation all together?
Yes, he thought so. Then she wouldn't have thrown rank in his face, even though he would still remember it. Maybe he could get her back for it later. It would be funnier if she didn't know why he was angry. It would also be kind of funny for her to bring the stupid people into the room to find a dead, still warm carcass on the floor, drained of blood.
With a glare at the now-closed door, he concentrated for a second and suddenly there was a shift as time reversed itself by five minutes. Rose hadn't quite gotten to the house yet and he was still finishing the last of his dinner. Even though he didn't realize it, this would be best for Xylia as well, whose bleeding would be helped by the lack of delaying conversation. He huffed and tucked his wings against his bloated sides, belly full of blood, and left the house. She could come and find the door open. He didn't really care.

Back in time five minutes, Rosemary was bringing the two weapons and the injured deer to her mother's former house.
"We're here. Keep close." Rosemary said with a lowered voice. The door was open a crack, Alphonse had probably used it earlier that night. She hoped that he wasn't inside. Throwing that caution to the wind she turned her head to look at the deer.
"In. Quickly." Once they were all in she hastily shut the door. She gave a sigh of relief. She had got them here without a hitch. Of course there was still a lot of night to burn so she would have to keep them hidden until the night was out... and then the day. Wow this was over complicated.
She hurried to the bedroom (which wasn't that far away, gee, Mom's old house was really small). Opening the door she tripped over the blood drained body.
"Al you fucktardprick," she growled under her breath as she pulled herself up. She told him time and time again not to leave dead things in the cabin for HER to clean up. She wasn't his maid damn it. "Ignore the dead body, I'll drag it out later. Set her down in the corner so I can patch her up."

Oddr hesitated for a moment, thinking that he heard something up ahead but he quickly brushed it off. Rosemary was leading the group and he had no choice but to trust her to take Xylia somewhere safe. Besides, if anything did attack at this point then Xylia was safe in Thallak's firm grip. He could grapple with just about anything and, he imagined, do it one-handed as well.
Thallak trudged after Rosemary, Xylia held firmly but gently in his grip. He scanned the house for threats as he went. Nothing seemed too out of place until, of course, Rosemary tripped over the bloodless corpse.
"Bloody hell! What in the..." Gross. Why the fuck was there a body in here?! Both brothers exchanged looks but neither said anything further. Thallak just took his Xylia to the corner directed and eased her down. She hissed through tightly clenched teeth when her torn up back touched the wall but that was all.
"Thank you, Rosemary." Xylia murmured, ignoring the sight of the bloodless deer. There was just something strange about it... And Al? It almost made it seem as if Rosemary knew the person who'd done such a thing.
Xylia closed her eyes. She didn't even want to start thinking down that path.

"Sorry sorry!" Rosemary flailed at the exclamation. Once that was said and done she hurried to the curtains, making sure they were shut. Without another word hurried over to her parents closet. She kept a first aid kit there for just in case situations.
She never really imagined she would have used it for this sort of thing. The wolf-squirrel hastily returned. Flipping the box open she set to look at the girl's wounds.
Light. She needed light. Bugger. With an annoyed growl she looked at one of the men. "Do hurry and get the lamp from the other room. It's easier to carry for someone with digits rather than me." She wasn't exactly sure on the people's names but whoever wanted to get the light could.
She turned back to Xylia. "You have to stay awake at the very least. It's safe to say you have one hell of a concussion. I want to mend you before you even think of closing your eyes."

Oddr nodded promptly, being the first to hurry out of the room. He was lighter on his feet, quicker. Thallak remained nearby, a looming guard over his fallen summoner. He didn't like the look of any of this...
Especially not once Rosemary removed their makeshift bandaging to reveal the extent of the wound below. Light would only make the gory details worse.
It was easy enough to talk about not sleeping...if it weren't for the fact that Xylia was getting so very light headed. Nevertheless she managed to open her eyes and fixate a woozy stare on the woman.
"Okay." She murmured, smiling gently. The action, of course, did little more than put more pressure on the head wound that arched all the way from her ear to her chin in a long jagged gash.
Oddr was quick to return with the lantern, working to light the wick before holding it up for Rosemary's benefit. The light momentarily shone on the black doe's features, illuminating the not-so-pretty cut.
"Uhh, anywhere I can hang this?"

"Shit." Rosemary said bluntly looking at the wound. The light just made it look worse. The wolf's ears pulled back at the man's question. "Hold it, there's no place I can hang it. Plus I have to clean out the wound and then sew it. Hanging the light far away would make things difficult."
Rosemary eyed the wound for a minute before scurrying out of the room. Both of the boys could hear water running in the kitchen. Rosemary struggled for a minute as she lit the stove. As fast as she could manage she slammed her the pot filled with water on the stove. She scurried back into the bedroom. Flipping open the first aide kit she produce a set of tweezers, and a small squirt bottle. She bolted back to the kitchen, dropping the metal tweezers in the almost boiling water. She snapped the top off of the bottle and dipped it in the water. It was close enough.
Fishing out the tweezers with her paw, cursing the whole while, she hopped back to the deer.
"This, is going to hurt like a bitch, so bare with me," Rosemary said as she balanced on her pack paws. In an amazing display of grace she used the tweezers to pick out some of the larger pieces of debris from the wound. Then taking the still hot water she used it to flush out the things she couldn't reach.
It was utterly disgusting. But at least you couldn't see the bones or anything. Throwing the tools next to the first aid kit she grabbed some clean bandages to pat the wound dry. If only she had peroxide... that would of made her feel better about the whole thing. "All right boys. I need help sewing this up. You're still doing okay right?" she asked the dear with a cordial smile.

Xylia grimaced slightly when Rosemary cursed. That wasn't a good sign at all. The darkness had hid the worse of the problems, as did Xylia's habit of blending into the darkness of her surroundings, and the light just made everything so much clearer.
The boys both wore deep frowns and Thallak had begun to fidget with nerves. He couldn't stand the thought of something happening to his summoner...
While Rosemary darted about making preparations, the boys spoke lightly with Xylia to keep her distracted and conscious. It was all meaningless dribble, but it did it's job until Rosemary had returned. Xylia nodded when spoken to and scrunched up her face, preparing to brace herself for the pain. Suits it would've been good to still have her heart abilities just then...
The pain that washed over her as the cut was cleaned out caused her to gasp out loud before firmly clenching her jaw once more. Oh suits! The lull between the flushing of hot water and Rosemary's call for help was almost worst, an intensified and persistent throbbing-burning that seemed to blot out most of Xylia's thoughts.
"Sewing?" Thallak's brow furrowed in concern. He had no clue how to go about that... Xylia, voice strained, opened one eye long enough to direct Thallak and Oddr around. "Y-Yeah... Thank you, Rosemary... Nnn. Thal, you should hold the lantern, Oddr's a bit more technical." In a better time, Thallak would've made a wise little crack at his daintier brother, but instead he obediently did as Xylia suggested and he switched places with Oddr so that the slender twin could crouch down beside Rosemary.
"Alright. What should I do?"

This would go fine, in theory. She had done it many times on practice dummies and small animals to get it right. The wolf mix looked down at the needle and thread between her paws. "First you need to thread the needle for me."
Her tone was reassured and steady, unlike her thoughts. She really didn't want to screw this up. Hands would have been painfully useful, or at least digits like her brother had. Once the needle was threaded she shifted onto her back legs so she could properly direct him with her paws.
Actually. She should show him how to do the first stitch.
She took the needle carefully from him. It was a terrible balancing act, but she could manage. "Watch carefully. I'm going to make the initial stitch and you'll have to continue. Don't go too deep or you'll hurt her even more."
Now it was time to practice what she said. It seemed like an excruciatingly long two minutes, but she managed, successfully to but the needle through the skin without any troubles. "Now, hurry and finish this off before the bleeding starts again."
She really hoped this wouldn't get infected.
