Well, he had put the little clumsy stunt behind him and it seemed that everyone else was tactful enough to ignore it ... except Vesper. He tilted his red lined ears backward and rolled onto his side, sending a glare up in Vesper's general direction and a soft little growl as well. Suits his sister could get on his nerves sometimes ... and this was one of those times.
Oh hush Vespi.
He put a bit of a snotty emphasis on her nickname, trying to get a rise out of the rat mix. His tail, for once, was still as he continued to glare.
Brokat sighed when he heard Casanova's response, things like this usually started some sort of argument and he really didn't want to listen to it ... but his siblings were so very hard headed and neither of them were listening to him at all today so he sent Vana a little pleading look. He wished his siblings were as nice to each other as they were to him, he hated being in the middle of the two sometimes.

A butterfly mix... that must have been a most beautiful mix no matter what sort of animal she had been mixed with. Especially if she inherited nothing but those pretty butterfly wings. He churred happily in his throat at the thought, making little batty noises under his breath at the very thought of a creature so divine. Maybe he'd have to draw something of the sort... a pretty creature with butterfly wings. Maybe a canine.. or a cute little mouse? They were certainly delicate enough to sport pretty fairy wings. "Sounds like you and your mom were very lucky."
He had been able to ignore the fire boy's taunts to play for a short while, but as he was about to turn to regard him, he noticed a most dissatisfied look on the canine's face. For a moment, he misconstrued the expression as being turned to him, but quickly he glanced behind himself to double check, noticing the sneer on the rat girls' face. She sure was pretty rude sometimes. Uneasy, he shifted where he sat for a moment, unsure of what to say. He certainly didn't want to get injured in a tussle.
"Hey.. come on now. There's no need to fight.."

Parvana couldn't help the little blush the spread briefly along her cheeks, but she smiled delightfully. He was such a sweet little boy, wasn't he?
"Not all the time... It gets myself quite a bit of attention, especially considering I haven't seen many a butterfly around to distract others from me."
Mikael would have been pleased to know this her mother had indeed been a lovely canine, though she didn't think to mention that. And everyone was still so shocked that she'd pulled up such a strange genetic chance as to be full butterfly compared to her mother's half. It had been, more than likely, an experimental curiosity on the Corvi's part.
And then Cas and Vesper were glaring at each other, all but ready to start a little tiff then and there. Silly kids.
"Mikael is right. Vesper, Cas... If you don't have anything nice to say to each other, than you shouldn't say anything at all." She expected fighting and snide remarks from Vesper, but not from sweet little Cas. Of course, he more than likely had his father's fiery little outbursts....

Vesper shot a wicked glare at Parvana and Mikael, her little ratty ears going back against her skull as they both admonished her.
She'd done nothing but snicker! Why was Cas getting so bent out of joint and now everyone was staring like it was her fault! Cas was the clumsy lout that had fallen, she had every right to be amused!!! At least she'd only laughed, she could've said something snotty or mean but she hadn't!
The rat mix abruptly ripped away from Brokat, pulling to her paws and leaping onto the floor without warning. She couldn't stand them, any of them! If they were going to be the way they were, then she would just find a nice corner to isolate herself in.
Huffing in frustation, she stole a cookie from the table and trampled a few innocent toys on her way out of the room (luckily managing to avoid afflicting her wrath upon poor Mikael's crayons).

His ears remained back and turned his glare toward Parvana for a moment before his expression switched to how it had been before and his tail came back to life ... he just couldn't stay angry for very long. Besides, Vesper was getting what she deserved anyhow and he could kick his embarrassment to the curb. He moved onto his belly and did a little crawl over to his auntie and looked up at her, giving her the cutest look he could manage, his tail swishing the whole time.
Brokat just remained where he was, not willing to put himself in the midst of this ... no one ever listened to him anyhow. however, when Vesper took off he made an odd noise of surprise as he'd not expected that ... and found himself alone amongst these ... people. They didn't really seem that nice then again they hadn't really done or said anything against him ... but it still made him nervous.
A very soft little whine escaped his maw as he attempted to flatten himself out and disappear ... which would be terribly hard since he was a large mass of fur and feathers. He just ... wasn't ready to join everyone else quite yet.

The sheer oddness of the sibling's on again, off again relationship exhausted Mikael, and he slipped away from the lot of them to go back to his coloring. Scrapping the paper he'd been working on, he looked down at his recently melted and resolidified purple crayon. No, that wouldn't do at all. It'd probably be best if he refrained from using anything with that color in it as a subject. Red and blue crayon didn't blend as well as red and blue paint.
If only he had his paints! He sighed, pushing the crayon about with his long finger absently. Suddenly he wasn't in the mood to color any more. Instead, he stood up and made his way to the kitchen, clacking his fingers on the tile as he looked for the babysitter. Finding her, he sat down patiently, his tail wagging absently behind him.
"S'cuse me... S'cuse me... S'cuse me..." He repeated softly in the typical manner a child does before an adult actually looks their way. "Do you have any 'nanners... or oranges... I'm hungry, and cookies are leaving little crumblies in the bottom of my mask."
