The eagle's head was placed on the table with his eyes closed. He shifted when the tea was placed in front of him and Elyse placed her paw on his knee. He smiled. Somehow that just made everything better.
"I'm in a bit of a rut. I guess.... I just can't seem to make this person happy with their custom order. They say the piece doesn't have enough life.... whatever that means." He shifted, opening his eyes to look at Elyse. Really he hadn't had a problem this terribly with a client before. At least he was slowly getting better with people outside of his family and Elyse.... though Elyse really was part of his family. He just had trouble saying that out loud.
"How was your day? You were pretty busy today weren't you?" He asked with a tilt of his head as he finally sat up to drink his tea properly.

"What is it that they are asking for?" She asked curious and a little annoyed that they would bother her Wyn so much. Maybe she could offer a suggestion to help him? "I could always have a little talk with them, if you want." She offered sweetly and innocently. He would know the inside joke of her trying to defend his honor.
In truth she would never step into his business uninvited, not unless it was something that she felt seriously had to be dealt with. Should anyone really cause him distress or harm they had another thing coming.
"My day went well enough. Ms. Julia a few doors down finally delivered today. I was worried for a moment that she would not make it but everything turned out to be okay." There had been a small panic when one of the children had refused to come out without a little coaxing. The child was sure to cause his parents trouble for years to come.

Eilwyn chuckled a bit. It was well known to the Family that Elyse was the one who defended his honor and her own. He had even caught on pretty early in the game--and was perfectly fine with the joke. "If it was his problem I would try to have a talk with him, but I really think it's me this time. I just... can't seem to "get" what he wants."
He perked up. Ms. Julia was that nice lady who baked cookies for them on several occasions. He was happy to hear that everything went smoothly. It would be very sad if Ms. Julia had died. "I'm happy to hear everything went well! They were lucky to have such a skilled healer as you around, too."
The eagle tilted the teacup back. Rosehip tea? She usually just fixed that for herself. He shrugged it off. He could use some vitamin C. That's probably why she had given it to him. "How many did she end up having... she was pretty big for a while there?"

She gave a soft hrms at his comment, frowning at him slightly. She disliked it when he blamed himself for anything. "Wot is it that you are not "getting" as you put it? Maybe I can help you?" She gave a happy chirp, hoping he would share his problems though she would not force.
She gave him a smug smile at his compliment. "Just as you are lucky to have me" she flirted leaning over to give him a light kiss on his beak.
"Her total amount came out to five, three girls and two boys." She replied. She ran her fingers in a back and forth motion on his knee, every now and then moving more toward the inside. She really did love how soft his feathers were. The feel of them always made her just want to hug him and never let go.

"It's in memory of his sister..." Eilwyn sighed. "I guess I'm not getting it right because he hasn't given me enough to work with. He wants it to have life like most of my other figures. I'll get it eventually or I'll just send him some place else and sell the figures I've made."
He shrugged as he set the teacup down. The kiss made him blush a bit since he wasn't expecting it. Yes, he was very luck to have her. And the smile on his face was obvious proof of that.
The touch on his knee made him the slightest bit more comfortable. "That's a large family to start with... at least that's what happened to my Dad and Miss Calia. I wonder if their family will end up as big as ours eventually." He didn't notice that he included Elyse in "the Family" since he already considered her as part of it. Even if their relationship didn't work out they would always be friends.... otherwise the eagle would be terribly lost.

"Well you will get it eventually." She agreed before taking a sip of her own tea. If nothing else she would always stand by his side.
She had to agree with him on the large family. "I am sure that it will not be too much of a problem for them. They love all their newlings very much." Though, whenever she had kids she hoped that she never had more than four. Four was a good solid number.
Shaking her head at the thought she leaned her head against his shoulder. Looking up at him innocently she asked, "How is your tea?"
Ez had dropped by earlier that week and after a suggestion she had taken it into consideration. It was about time that their relationship become more serious. Though she would never take advantage of her love Ez's suggestion was that she just made it more tempting for their eagle. It would take a cup or two, but only time would tell.

"I really hope so," He sighed wistfully. Sometimes he wondered if he really had enough inspiration to make glass figurines as art rather than his hobby. People were never apathetic towards them, so that was at least a good sign.
Yes... five really was a lot. At least they wouldn't have any problems with it. He couldn't imagine what it would be like having kids running around. That was just a terrifying concept. He could never be a good Dad like his Dad was. He just didn't have it in him....
"It's good, I like whatever blend you used." He smiled down at her. He had to admit the tea did taste a little weird from what he was used to. Of course there was the taste of Rosehip tea and something else... he shrugged it off. Elyse was good at making tea she obviously knew what she was doing.

She gave his knee another comforting pat before snuggling up against him, making it so that he would have to put his arm around her or have it pinned between their bodies. "I am glad you think so"
Finishing up her tea, especially enjoying the last part since it was sweetened the most by the tea. Reaching forward, though she did not leave his side, she poured herself another cup. "Any more for you?" She asked.
According to Ez it should not take too long for the herb to take effect. She felt a little bad about doing it, but it would not incapacitate him in anyway, just allow both of them to relax.
Sitting back after taking care of their cups she pulled her legs up on the couch to cuddled against him more. She really did enjoy the feel of his feathers.
