Eilwyn felt funny. He wasn't entirely sure what it was, but things just seemed a little weirder than usual. He was worried, yes, but he found it difficult to actually care. Snuggling with Elyse took priority.
He paused for a moment when she asked he he wanted more tea. Well... it did taste funny so maybe he should pass? But.... sure why not? "That would be nice," he said with a smile as he snuggled closer to Elyse.
Maybe they should move to the sofa, it was more comfortable there. Somehow sitting at the table didn't seem to fit properly. "Do you want to sit on the sofa and read while we have another cup? It might be more comfortable that way."
The eagle shifted slightly but waited for Elyse's response. He wasn't going to make any assumptions. He took another sip of his tea. It didn't taste that funny after all.

"That . . . sounds like a wonderful idea." It would definitely be easier to cuddle that way. Taking up her cup of tea she stood and waited for him before heading over to the couch. Once there she waited for him to take his seat first.
Handing him the book they were currently reading together she said with a smile, "It's your turn to read." After he had taken the book she sat down besides him, resting her head on his shoulder. She always loved to hear his voice rumble in his chest and his heart beat.
Taking a sip of her tea she reached across him to place it on the side table. Settling back against him she enjoyed the story for a page or two before deciding to set forth her plan. While still listening to him read she turned her face slightly so she could press a small kiss to his shoulder.

Eilwyn happily went over to the sofa and sat down carefully. He went to reading the book since it was in fact his turn. On the bright side he didn't struggle with some of the words like he did sometimes. Being blind all those years had thrown him through a loop when he actually had a chance to see the words he was speaking. Thankfully he was doing rather well because of Elyse and the rest of his book reading family.
He enjoyed the close contact, it made him warm and fuzzy inside. Not to mention the feeling he had from drinking that tea. Warm and fuzzy and... well he couldn't really put a finger on it.
He paused his his reading when Elyse kissed him. He honestly would have returned it if it weren't for his beak. Instead he laced his fingers in her fur on the back of her neck. He really did love her soft fur....

Feeling no protest from Wyn, quite the contrary when he wrapped his hand in the fur on her neck, she continued to give small kisses to his shoulder. Through his touch he would be able to feel her giving a slight purr - something of a quality that she owed to her mother's genes. She pressed light kisses as she worked her way across his shoulder to his neck, working up his neck, she then gave him one to his cheek before pulling away to stare shyly at him.
He did not seem to be minding.
"Wyn," She glanced down to play with one of his feathers. "Do you think we . . . could we . . . do you mind if we . . ." She could not get the words out. Blushing she rested her head against his shoulder for a moment. Pulling away she met his eyes. "Wyn, can we?"

For a minute Eilwyn had no idea what was happening but he knew he was enjoying. The purr just seemed to make everything better, then he realized what Elyse was trying to say to him.
"Uh... well... uh... okay!" He said when the wheels finally clicked into place. He really did want to. He just... he really hoped everything went well. Of course... honestly he just wanted to do it if that made any sense at all. He blushed heavily at the thought.
"Bed room then?" He asked. A bed might be better but... the sofa was probably better. He didn't really know at all. His blush grew deeper as he looked at Elyse. Really... really he never expected this to ever happen. Well. It was worth a shot right? He really did like her and all... they were living together.... Ez said take the next step.
And so... he made his move. He would never look at the sofa the same again.

She gave a happy chirr when he agreed. No doubt it would be awkward but this was something that felt right.
"Bedroom" she agreed, standing up and taking his hand. Leading the way to her bedroom since it had the bigger bed. Turning around at the door to face him she reached for his other hand. "No worries" She said with a wink.
~~~ As she woke up she gave a full body stretch before rolling over onto her other side. After that evening a few months ago, she had be delighted with the fact that she was now able to wake up every morning to see Wyn first thing.
Waking up before him, she was content to simply lay there loving the feeling of warmth and weight of a still sleep body. It was the weekend so she would be able to spend the whole day with him! She lay there watching him till he woke up.
Once he had become semi-conscious she whispered, "Morning."
It was the weekend. Eilwyn wanted to sleep in a bit longer than he normally did. And the plan went without a hitch when he slowly opened his eyes to Elyse's good morning. Yes, it was a very good morning. He smiled and whispered, "Morning."
Stretching out with a yawn the eagle sat up in bed. He still wasn't ready to roll out of it and get ready for the morning. That could wait a while. Cuddling with Elyse took priority.
"Been up long?" He asked as his brain started waking up. Piecing together sentences in the morning was always a slow process. He never enjoyed the concept of waking up and getting things done right away. He always needed time to adjust to being awake. He glanced over at the nightstand trying to think of what he was forgetting. Mentally shrugging it off he turned back to Elyse and briefly hugged her.
"Not too long." she replied drowsily. Her body wanted to send her back to sleep.
Accepting his hug happily, returning one of her own, she was content to cuddle with him for a while. After a few moments she gave him a fond kiss. "How about I go make us some breakfast?" She asked with a smile.
As she made to get up she felt a sudden wave of nausea and her stomach protest. Covering her mouth on with one paw she dashed for the bathroom, hoping to make it in time. After she was done relieving her stomach of what little contents it held.
"Must have been something that I ate." She explained out loud, mostly to herself, brushing it off as nothing now that she was feeling better. "So, wot would you like for breakfast?" She asked Wyn with a smile.
Eilwyn watched hazily as she slipped out of bed. He was about to say something but she suddenly bolted. He could hear her heaving in the bathroom. Alarmed, Eilwyn slipped out of bed and waited for her to exit the bathroom. With a worried expression he looked down at her.
"I'll fix breakfast," He said brushing his hand on top or her head. He really would have loved to kiss her, but the beak got in the way. "If you're sick to your stomach than you should have something light to eat. And you shouldn't act like nothing is wrong when something obviously is."
The one thing Eilwyn did well was worry about other people's health. He could easily make a light breakfast for Elyse since she was feeling ill, and he wasn't about to listen to her protests. She was a healer, she should know better.
When she came out of the bathroom she gave him a fond smile and quick hug. "You really are the best, you know that?"
Content in letting him have his way, otherwise he would just continue to worry, she allowed him to lead the way to the kitchen. "Worse come to worse it is only a little flu. It would explain why I have been tired recently. I should be better in no time, no worries. And something light sounds wonderful." Maybe he would make something simple out of fruit. She had a sudden craving for Fruit.
Taking up a seat on one of the bar stools at the bar that separated the kitchen from the living room she watched as he moved around the kitchen. She really did love the way he moved. "So, wot should we do today?" She asked him while he worked.
