He blushed at her compliment and waved a hand.
"If it gets any worse you should probably go to the doctor..." he said quietly. "What exactly do you want for breakfast?"
Eilwyn went to the kitchen pulling out the pots and pans he needed. Scrambled eggs on toast for him, and a small fruit salad with toast for Elyse. Pulling out the fruit from the refrigerate her chopped up the cantaloupe, and variety of other fruits throwing them in the bowl. He picked fruits that in theory wouldn't upset her stomach.
Pouring a glass of water as he popped the toast on the gas stove to brown it. Multitasking was something he managed when cooking. He had to thank Ez and Zane for that one. Dad just failed at cooking anything but apple stuffed pancakes. There was only something wrong with that when something else needed to be cooked.
Once her fruit salad and toast was complete he set in front of her and went to making his scrambled eggs and toast. It of course, didn't take him very long and he sat down besides her to finally answer her question. "You're going to rest. I'm not sure what I'm going to do."

"Fruits would be lovely, thank you" She replied to his question. At his comment about going to see another doctor she gave a giggle. "If it will make you feel better, and if it does get worse, I will go see one of my fellow doctors."
He really was something to see in the kitchen. From the way he moved and multi-tasked it would be hard to tell that he had once been blind. "Thank you." She gave him a light kiss on the cheek after he sat down next to her.
Pouting she replied, "Fine . . . I will rest . . . but only if you keep me company." There was nothing worse than being left alone to lay about. "I know! You should read to me." She declared cheerfully as she held out a piece of fruit to him. It really was quite yummy; just what she needed. Both light on the stomach and packed full of nutrition.

Eilwyn smiled. Reading to Elyse would be fun. Taking a bite of his scrambled eggs he smiled. "I'll read to you then! But we'll need to start a new one since we finished the last one two days ago." He said as he continued to scoop eggs off his plate. Breakfast was always fun to make. It was just lunch and dinner that became difficult sometimes.
They had read most of the collection in the apartment and had started borrowing books from Dad and various members of the extended family. Mori had lent him a romance novel... maybe that would work? Of course all the romance novels she owned were kind of.... detailed when it came to particular scenes. He blushed at the thought.
"Well, Mori lent me a book... but is there anything you want to read?" He asked as he took a chunk out of his toast.

"We did?" They went through so many books that she sometimes forgot which ones they had read and when. She hummed to herself for a moment in consideration. "That would work . . . or we could reread the one one about the Morganberry. Either or would work just fine." It was a classic that she owned, the pages well used with love. She had long since lost count of how many times she had read it.
She finished off her small breakfast. Hopping off of the stool she brought her dishes to the kitchen making quick work of cleaning them. If Wyn brought her his dishes as well she would do them too, unless told otherwise.
Walking over to the couch she plopped herself down, waiting for Wyn to join her. "So which one do we get to hear?" She asked with a happy chirp.

Eilwyn thought about it as he cleared the dishes form their nice leisurely breakfast. Washing the dishes he shrugged. "We can read that one. Unless you want me to read that book about the Corvistowne Tales... that had some pretty interesting stuff in it."
He mused as he wiped the dishes dry, placing them in the rack just in case he missed anything. He looked over at Elyse and shrugged. "I suppose you'll find out when I come back from the bookshelf." He smiled before setting all of the dishes in place. Piratically skipping over to the shelf he pulled out a nice red book with a dust jacket on it. It was happily worn, all the pages had lost their gold lining, but still it retained it's glory. He sat down besides Elyse, opening the book to reveal the elaborate cover page that read "The Morganberry Tales."
Of course he would give in to Elyse's whims. How could he not?

At his comment about her having to wait she gave a pout.
"Wonderful" She said happily as she settled down to lay against him. This was the perfect way to rest.
~~
Other then than the morning sickness and slight tiredness nothing else appeared to be wrong with her. It was only when the morning sickness had not stopped after a few weeks she figured out what it meant.
Looking up from where she was currently making them tea, she glanced at Wyn shyly. She was not quite sure how to tell him. While she was sure he would be glad to hear the news they had never really discussed the topic either.
Finishing up with the preparation of the teas she brought them over to the couch, placing them on coffee table. She had told him that she had something to tell him, taking up her seat on the couch she continued to debate on how to start the conversation.

Wyn had been worried. Elyse was still getting ill during the morning. Sadly he hadn't been able to piece everything together. So he waited anxiously on the couch when she said there was something they needed to discuss. He accepted the tea with a worried expression when she had finished.
What did she have to say? What was she going to tell him? The silence was killing the eagle as he sat staring into his tea. He couldn't bring himself to drink it because of his anticipation. He wanted to know what was wrong.... why couldn't she say anything about it? Was it that bad.
He swallowed hard. Maybe he should just start. Breaking the silence wasn't that difficult when worked up with so much worry, right? He set the tea down on the coffee table and looked to Elyse with wide eyes.
"What did you want to tell me?" He asked, worry dripping from his voice.

Seeing Wyn's worried expression and hearing his tone she tried to quickly calm his fears. "It is nothing too serious, well nothing life threatening anyway." She lay a paw on his arm. "I am just not sure where to start"
She paused for a moment gathering her thoughts together.
"You know how I have been really tired recently and sick in the mornings? I was finally able to discover the cause for it - not sure why I did not think of it before. Well hindsight is twenty-twenty, right? Ah, now I am rambling." She quickly pulled herself back to the topic at hand.
Taking a deep breath she meet his eyes. "Well, you see, the reason that I have been like that recently is because I am with child." She gave a small blush of embarrassment.

There was a long awkward silence as Eilwyn tried to digest the information that had just come out of Elyse's mouth. He couldn't quite comprehend what she had spoken for a good minute an a half, when it finally clicked he looked down at his tea and took a long drink.
"What?" he asked after putting down the tea cup. He looked at her with wide eyes. He was hoping that he had misheard every word that she had spoken. How could he of all people be a Daddy?
That was impossible. All logic dictated that Ez, Zane and Mori were going to have children long before he did. And now Elyse said that she was pregnant.
She was pregnant?!
"You're really pregnant." He stated more than asked. Suddenly he felt a little light headed. This really was happening. It wasn't a dream. The color drained from his face--which wasn't that noticeable thanks to his feathers--and he gave Elyse another look. "Your father's going to kill me."

"I am with child. Pregnant." She clarified for him at his question.
"I am sure he won't kill you." After all Wyn was the father of the grandchildren. At least . . . she hoped he would not. Watching him closely she was a little worried about his response to the news. Either he was just in shock or he was not pleased by the news.
Pulling her paw off of his arm she placed in on her abdomen. "Wyn . . . you are planning on staying, right?' The fear of the idea that he might not be able to handle it and leave her suddenly gripped her. Something told her that it was foolish but a larger part was still worried.
"You are not angry with me are you? I should have been more careful. There are potions that would have prevented it. It just never crossed my mind that . . . well that it would happen."
