She blushed again as she saw the piece of clothing that he pointed out, though she did make a mental note about it. If Ez said that it would look stunning on someone, there as no way you could not take him at his word. Ez had an eye for it.
Something glass? Why had she not thought of that before? Wyn would be sure to like it if she wore something made of glass. Following his ushering toward the glass case. Looking toward the item that he pointed at she let out an appreciative sound. "That is really pretty"
Of course, Ez was right about her papa's view on jewelry. Considering that he owned his own shop and had set up for smaller ones in different areas, her papa had the right to state his opinion.
Going onto her tiptoes she tried to catch the price for the pendent. It really was quite charming. Finally spotting she clapped her hands together in happiness. She could afford it!
Wanting to wear it for later she decided that she would have enough to buy a chain as well. "Which chain for it do you think?" She asked as she glanced over to where the different chains were on display. "The silver one, I think, no?"

Ez nodded. "Silver would be fantastic with your fur and eyes." He waved over one of the clerks. A rather pretty looking woman who made fluttering eyes at the sparrow. He would have rolled his eyes if he wasn't a regular at this shop and used to all the positive attention the female clerks gave him.
"You have a pretty one with you today Ez. What are you looking at today?" She purred even though she wasn't a cat. The woman brushed her blond mane out of her hair as she leaned forward to look at Elyse and Ez together.
"She's thinking of getting that pendent, the glass one, and a silver chain." Ez said as he tapped on the glass out of habit.
The woman nodded. "All right, the silver chain is thrown in for free. Would you like a box and a bag for that?" She asked Elyse cheerfully.

Elyse fell back slightly when the female clerk who came their way when Ez motioned, though she was polite enough to bow her hread in greeting. She blinked at the attention the sparrow recieved from the female. Considering how much she knew about Ez, she was pretty sure that meant the female did not know him to well. Othrwise she would know her flirting was to a pointless end. Ez seemed to have the situation in hand.
"No box or bag please. I plan to wear it right away, if that is okay?" She replied. She was half impatient to see what kind of reaction Wyn would have when he saw her wearing it.
The fact that the chain was thrown in for free was a wonderful thing. Reaching into her bag she pulled out the amount of money it would take to purchase the glass pendent.
"Are you getting anything Ez?" She asked wondering if they were going to cash out now or look around more.

The clerk smiled at Elyse. Well. Mister Ez was hanging out with high ranking cards again. Wasn't that wonderful? Maybe one day she could "hang out" with the sparrow. Stuffing her jealousy back in a box the woman opened the glass case to get the pendent. Slipping the chain through the loop she offered it to Elyse in exchange for the money. "You have fine taste Miss."
"Let me put it on for you," Ez said as he offered to close the clasp for her. It was a rather radiant necklace that suited the feline-mouse mix rather nicely. The sparrow shook his head. "I have nothing to get today. Their new shipment of corsets didn't come in so I'll have to check back later this week." He shrugged. "Anyway, we should skip off to lunch before we're late. You know how Eilwyn is notoriously early."
Lunch was a five minute walk away, and there was no one waiting at the table just yet. Zane was still a fifteen minute walk away. Eilwyn was still struggling with some of his business at Mori's shop. Custom orders were such a pain sometimes.

It really was a pretty item. When Ez offered to clasp the necklace for her she handed it to him, holding still for him. When he had finished she turned around for his inspection. "Wot do you think?" She asked, modeling some.
Glancing down she ran her fingers down the glass. It really was something. She really could not wait for Wyn to see it. Having finished up their shopping, she thanked the clerk she followed Ez out of the store and to the restaurant not far away.
She was actually quite surprised to see that neither Zane nor Wyn were at the restaurant yet. Their errands must really be taking their time, especially for Wyn. Having been seated she glanced over to where Ez sat. While she always felt comfortable in the presence of Wyn's brothers she was still trying to think of something to strike up conversation.

Ez hummed happily, "Oh yes, that's fantastic on you. Eilwyn's heart'll skip a beat." The sparrow waved at one of the ladies as the exited the building. It was fine majestic day.
The sparrow sat across from Elyse. Eilwyn and Zane could sit next to the darling girl. It was a good thing that Eilwyn was so adorable otherwise the sparrow would have had to move in on his territory. He ordered a pitcher of water for when they were waiting. It would be a little while.
Zane came around the corner, briefcase in hand. Damnit he was really late. The leathery winged sparrow hurried over to the table. "Really sorry about this... I didn't intend to be so late." He sighed as he sat the briefcase next to his seat. He gave a briefly confused look at Ez about Eilwyn's absence, but his brother simply shrugged. "So, how's everything Elyse? I haven't seen you in a while."
Eilwyn saw his family and girlfriend from a distance. He was fifteen minutes late. That never happened but... well if Dad hadn't distracted him everything would have gone smoother. Now he had to tell Elyse about Dad wanting to visit....
Zane caught sight of the eagle during the conversation. "It looks like Eilwyn's a bit troubled... he's late and he looks like he's been hit by a metaphorical carriage."

Taking her seat across from Ez she glanced around. Wyn and Zane really were running late. She hoped everything was going okay, it was unusual for either of the males to be late.
The pitcher of water, that Ez had ordered when the waitress had come to take their orders, had just arrived as Zane walked up to the table. Grabbing up the pitcher she started to pour each of them a glass. "No worries" She replied easily, patting the seat for him to take. "It has been a while, almost too long. Everything is going well. How about for you?"
Hearing Zane's comment, she turned to look where he was motioning. She frowned a little when she spotted the look he had referred to. Wyn really did look troubled. "I hope that he is okay," she replied, still frowning.

"Oh everything's going well. A few snags here and there but it'll iron out in the end," The bat-winged sparrow said with a wave of his hand. "I did get a bit of painting done recently."
It took a while for Eilwyn to make it to the table. However he sat down with a smile. "Hello everyone. Sorry about being late... I ran into Dad."
Both Ez and Zane perked up considerably. Was that why their brother was so out of sorts? That was unusual. Ez waited with his chin perched on the palms of his hands. Zane fiddled with his glass of water and waved the waitress for more time.
Eilwyn was oblivious to his brothers, his attention was focused completely on Elyse. "I was wondering if Dad could come over for tea sometime... he really wants to meet your father. I'm not entirely sure why... he's a little over protective though." He was pretty sure that Elyse didn't know that side of his Dad. They had only met briefly before because Dad was always so busy. Sigh.
"Oh! I'm sorry! I forgot to ask how you were!"

"They usually do." She replied, nodding once before she took a sip from her water.
When Wyn had finally joined them at the table she gave his arm an eager hug, only blushing a little. Whenever the two of them met up she always tried to give him a full out hug, unless the situation would cause the eagle social discomfort. When she had first picked up the custom she had often blushed, but honestly she enjoyed giving her Wyn hugs so others could eat it. Whenever Ez had made comments she had always replied with sticking out her tongue.
"Oh, sure! Your dad is welcome to come over any time." was the easy reply. The few times that she had met Wyn's father she had liked the man, not that she had really gotten to sit down and just talk to him though. Like her own he had greater worries and responsibilities. Speaking of which he wanted to met hers? "That should not be a problem. I will ask him the next time he comes to visit."
That was definitely going to make for an interesting meeting.
"Ez took me shopping before we came here." She chitted happily, glancing over to the mentioned male and giving a wink. "How about with you? Did everything go okay?"
