She suppose that was true enough. Thankfully though she had never really come across someone who had fell victim to it.
After Wyn had finished sorting their meal out she gave him her thanks. Snatching up her fork she began to eat. The fish was just heavenly tasting. All four of them seemed to finish up their meal quickly with a bit of small talk.
Once finished with her dessert she pushed her plate away from her, toward the center of the table. "That was delicious. So wot is everyone's plan for the rest of the day?" She asked, relaxing back in her chair.
She had the day off so she would probably go back to the apartment and relax. Though she would not say anything she was hoping that Wyn would be able to go with her. She was a little disappointed that he had not yet noticed her new glass pendent but she supposed eventually he would.

Zane sighed as he finished his coffee and cake. "I have to go back to work." The sparrow was reluctant to return after having such a nice break, but it's not like he had a choice in the matter. He was a responsible adult... blah blah blah.
Ez shrugged. "I decided to take the day off so I'm probably going to go shopping some more." He said leaning forward. He was surprised that Eilwyn hadn't noticed the pendant either. Then again it was probably because of all the stress. The sparrow decided to help Elyse out a tiny bit. "So Eilwyn notice anything different today?"
The eagle was confused by the sudden change of subject. He looked around the table for a minute. His eyes falling on the glass hanging around Elyse's neck. He had noticed it early, but had mentioned nothing because of the way the conversation was going.... oh dear. Judging from the way Ez was talking it meant that he was supposed to pick up on it early.
"Oh! OH!" He said as a blush developed around his beak. "I'm sorry Elyse I didn't say anything about your pendant! It's really pretty I just... I just didn't want to bother you about it..." Eilwyn trailed off before he made a bigger idiot of himself. "It really does look beautiful on you."
Ez had half a mind to facepalm. At least... he was honest?

Looking toward Zane she gave him a comforting smile. "I am sorry to hear that, Zane. Hopefully it will not be too bad, right?"
At Ez's pointed comment she raised her eyebrows to question what he was getting at. When it struck her she gave a small shake of her head, blushing all the while. While she wanted Wyn to notice the new necklace she did not want it to be in a manner that would cause him to fluster.
When Wyn started to stutter over himself like she knew he was going to she quickly tried to hush him. When he trailed off she leaned forward and kissed his beak. "Thank you" She replied giving him a small hug. She spared Ez a small but affectionate frown, he was probably enjoying this, before turning back to Wyn.
"Do you have something to do too or you coming home?" She asked innocently.

Zane nodded and then watched Wyn fall flat on his metaphorical face. How his brother was so unsmooth when it came to compliments he would never understand, but that was part of his adorable charm.
Ez tried his best to not giggle. Oh it was just so cute.
"You're welcome," He muttered as he turned a bright shade of crimson. His white feathers couldn't come close to covering that. He was happy to get the hug and kiss and all but... boy was he flustered. He did manage a recovery when the subject was changed.
"No, I don't have anything to do. I really don't want to work on the commissions I have and the flower shop was restocked this morning." So he could go to the apartment and relax, unless Elyse didn't want him around. "I'm coming home unless you have any objections...."

She got to have her way, yes! Wyn was going to come home with her and they could relax. He seemed like he needed it after being so frustrated and flustered by everything that had happened that morning.
At his hesitant comment though she gave him a shocked look. "Let me tell you this. There is never a time when I would not want you there." With a nod she confirmed this doubly so. It was something that she felt serious on, it as now Wyn's home as well so he should never feel uncomfortable about being there.
Ready to head out she stood up. "It was wonderful to see you guys again. Take care and feel free to drop by the house any time you want, okay?" She scurried around the table to give each of the brothers a hug. "Shall we go?" She asked Wyn when she was by his side again.

"Thanks for the invite, but we'll probably give you your own space for a while," Ez said with a smirk. The little love birds needed some time to themselves. Zane sent him a look and the lakeland sparrow return his look with a faint smile. How could he not tease Eilwyn and Elyse?
Zane and Ez said their goodbyes and good wishes to the adorable couple. The Lakeland sparrow went back to shopping and trying to find a new wardrobe for the latest fashion trend. Zane returned to work going through various books and adding up the numbers. Nothing too exciting.
The eagle was happy to return home and relax with Elyse. Having so much stress in one day was hard for him to deal with, but this made everything better. He was happy that his brothers were willing to give him space... even if he didn't pick up on all of Ezekiel's innuendos.

He had spent the morning with Minh but after becoming board with just spending time with Monty - Minh having locked herself in her lab again - he had decided to head out to see his daughter a little early. From what he understood of the situation his precious daughter had recently moved to a new apartment and now had a new room mate. He was proud of all of his daughter's accomplishments and was interested to meet the boy who seemed do have stolen his daughter's affection. Reaching the door to her apartment he knocked. "Oh! That must be him!" Elyse chirped as she got up from where she had been sitting on the couch. Going over to the door she opened it to reveal her father. "Papa" She greeted him before giving him a hug. "Come in, come in." He entered the apartment smiling happily at his daughter. "It is good to see you are doing well Elyse." Taking off his hat he placed it along with the cane at the front door. "Papa, let me introduce you to Wyn. You remember him, right? Wyn this is my Papa. Papa, Wyn." |

Eilwyn was nervous. The idea of older adults just made him uncomfortable. Of course his siblings didn't count, but somehow the idea of meeting Elyse's father made him shiver inside. He stirred honey in his tea while he was sitting in one of the arm chairs. Then there was a knock on the door. He nearly spilled his tea when Elyse wasn't looking. Great way to start the morning... stuffing his nervous down where his stomach was he stood up to follow the mouse feline hybrid. He cleared his throat when Aderlass was introduced. "It's nice to meet you Sir," the eagle extended his hand. It was odd looking down at the high ranking mouse. "Uh welcome! I have some coffee on the stove, I can get you a cup if you like."Meanwhile Theofilus was hurrying to the apartment. He had been caught up at the firm because of "complications" with an order to Esterberry of all places. The sparrow cursed his work as he hurried down the street. At least no one was going to stop him today. He was going to be on time if it killed him. |

He took Wyn's giving it a light shake. For a moment he was tempted to heat the had up just enough to tease the boy but he decided against it. He was not going to tease the boy just yet. "It is a pleasure to finally meet you. Coffee sounds heavenly."
Entering the house he paused to look at the case that held small glass figurines. "These are beautiful." He commented.
Elyse gave a smile toward Wyn trying to see how he would take the compliment. Her dad had seen the one that Wyn had made her years ago so he was probably well aware of who had made them. After a moment she called to her father. "Papa, come rest. You must be tired."
He wrinkled his nose at her. "There you are wrong my dear. I shall never get old." His tone suggested that because he had declared it it would be so. The twinkle of mischief in his eye would show his humor.

"Thank you!" Eilwyn chirped with a smile before he made his way to get the coffee. He enjoyed it when people complimented him on his figurines... maybe he should make one of Mr. Ader sometime? He might like that.
The eagle happily went to get the coffee. Of course, he spent a little time in the kitchen trying to find the proper coffee cup. Really, a tea cup wasn't good enough for coffee, he knew that, but where were all the mugs that he had brought with him...?
Meanwhile Theofilus had finally made it the the apartment. And with two minutes to spare. Catching all of his breath he knocked on the door. He had no idea who was going to answer, but he did his best to look presentable. Brushing down his ruffled feathers he waited.
He really hoped that everything was going to go smoothly. Of course, he was just being silly and had no reason to worry about any of it. Eilwyn had decided to room with such a nice girl, how could things go wrong?
