Xiven had master the atmosphere of "I don't care" during the past week. She had acted her normal self while around her mother, which of course caused a bit of suspicion. Her mother's paranoia was fun to deal with.
And today was the day everything would fall in place. She could feel the butterflies of excitement bubbling up inside as she walked down the hallway, shuffling through the papers. Eldy must be around here somewhere....
"I wonder if Seth is going to say anything to mother or not," Xiven said in an absent sounding voice. "Don't you think it's strange he hasn't said anything to Mom yet Eldy?"
She hoped that her sister would respond. Otherwise she would just sound absolutely crazy. Either way, at least her mother would over hear.
Speaking of, Xiven could hear the tapping of the woman's boots in the distance.

Other than a slight, anxious twitch of her tail every so often, Eldryia was completely still and silent...until she saw her sister. She grinned before calmly getting up, stetching her muscles a bit, cramped from staying in one place too long, and pacing out into full view of the Queen.
"Oh, he STILL hasn't said anything?" she asked with mock surprise, quirking an eyebrow. A paw went to her mouth in an expression of shock, the better to hide the knowing smirk that she managed to control after another minute. "That's surprising. I would have thought that by now...well, considering everything..." She shook her head sadly, an odd expression on her face, but inwardly she was jumping with excitement. This was going to rock. A thrill went through her as she heard the unmistakable footsteps as well. An ear twitched, but other than that, she looked perfectly calm, though projecting confusion and concern. "I hope he doesn't wait too long, or this could get even more complicated."

Peaches stopped in midstep as she heard the two girls talking. Her face fell as she listened to what they had to say. Shit. Had they really gone and told him or where they trying to play her? Could she take the risk to let this gone unattended?
"Well, knowing Mom it's going to get more complicated anyway," Xiven said, a grin wide on her face. "I mean when she starts showing.... well. It's not like we can do anything now. Unless we lock them in a room together. I hardly feel that that would be a good thing."
Xiven really hoped that her mother was listening. Because if she wasn't this would be a failed attempt. She strained to listen for any sign of her mother.
And she wasn't disappointed when she heard the tapping of boots start up again. This time, however, they were fading off in the distance.
Xiven wanted a little while to speak, and when she did it was just a whisper. "Do you think she bought it?"

Eldy allowed herself a small, mirthless laugh. "So true," she sighed, shaking her head, purple eyes twinkling. "And locking them up would not only not be helpful, it would also be way too much effort to be worth it." She allowed herself to reflect on what would happen to the two girls if they tried to force Seth anywhere, and where they could possibly stuff their mother that she couldn't just sneak out of again. But before she could lay it on any thicker, Peaches was apparently walking away. "It should only be a few weeks though," she added for her mother's benefit, so that she hopefully would think they didn't notice her, since they were continuing the conversation.
But after that, the cat was silent, though her ears were perked. Her eyes narrowed, dropping the amused but exasperated expression she'd been putting on. She frowned thoughtfully up at Xiven. "Hard to tell," she replied in a low voice, eyes darting around quickly for any sign that their mother had doubled back. "If not, we may need to ACTually tell him..." That was not a very fun prospect, but Eldy really didn't want their mother putting herself through the same 'raising kids alone' crap again, and for less reason.

Xiven's tail swished as she looked at her sister, a frown painted on her face. Mother had never fallen for their tricks before--after all she was the master of deception and spying, so why now? It might work. It might not.
"We should tell him," she said with a sigh. "I'm sure he would want to be in the kid's life. That is assuming they are his... but either way we should tell him. Mom won't. She'll wait until the last possible moment and hide them if she doesn't think they're acceptable."
She growled at the thought. Her mother was a pain in the ass when she set her mind on something. It had gotten the woman in more trouble than she could handle several times. Gah. "I think we should just go now. Might as well make things worse just so she can dig her way out."

Eldy's tail swished too, her unhappy look mirroring that of her sister, actually showing the resemblance between the two. She sighed, not really wanting to think of having to be the ones to inform the Bat, but knowing it was possibly their best course of action. Her ears flicked back in thought, now more than ever straining to catch some sound that would betray their mother still hanging around. Her eyes darkened slightly as Xiven mentioned hiding unacceptable children. Wasn't that just the story of her friggin' life...literally. In her case, it had saved her life. But in the case of these new children? Despite her Mother's low view, Eldy couldn't see Seth being too upset. After all, one of his children was a Club! Actually several of them were, if memory served. "Very sadly true," she said with a small mew. Another deep sigh. "You're right...we should tell him. The sooner the better."
Not even waiting for her sister, though of course assuming she would follow, she turned, tail raised as she began to walk lightly toward Seth's rooms, just wanting to get this over with. Yank out the tooth quickly, and all that. She compensated for her binding in the way years of practice and Peaches's gentle (well okay, not so much on the gentle) instruction had taught her to, her paws making no noise on the carpeted floor of the hall. Her mother would be so proud...well, she would if Eldy wasn't about to stick her nose in her business where the woman had specifically told her not to.
((OOC: Guess this means one of us should poke Xenon? XD <3))

It just so happened that neither feline would even have to knock at the door to get Seth's attention, for as they neared his door, he'd round the corner. He'd just left the kitchens, peeking in to see what he would be having for dinner and also trying to see if he could get away with sneaking an early taste of it. While he wasn't exactly intoxicated, the effects of Midori Weed lingered, giving him an appetite that simply refused to be ignored. While he'd only managed to walk away with a small roll, it was delicious, and he wondered if he had any apples stored in his room to eat along with it. At least, he was wondering that, until he saw Eldy and Xiven. He raised an eyebrow. Though he knew of Eldy's existance, he'd never seen the sisters together before now. " It really looks like you're up to no good,[/b]" he commented when he approached them, that bemused smile still on his face. When he came to the door he stopped, putting his hands into his pocket. " Is there something I can help you with, or are you looking for Lyn? She's off working on some project or another, so hopefully you were looking for me.[/b]" he said hopefully, but he wasn't entirely sure if he meant it. ((hope this is okay, guys <3 sorry it took me so long ))

Oh! Well that was partly a good thing. Not to mention that he seemed to be in a good mood. (Who knew what he had done, she never really wanted to know, but either way he was happy.) She gave him a wide smile, "We were actually looking for you! I don't know if you've met my sister or not... but we both needed to speak to you about something rather important concerning our mother."
She was half tempted to just blurt it out there and then. It would get things over fairly quickly and then she could watch her mother explode. She couldn't help but look forward to her mother having a hard time. After all, she was the cause of many problems, and for once she would be bested.
The feline glanced down at her sibling. Figuring that she would have something to add to the conversation.

Eldy brightened as soon as she saw the hairy man rounding the corner, whiskers coming forward in anticipation. For some reason she was looking forward to this, in a way. Maybe because it was so fun watching people react to things, but she rarely got to actually be the one causing the reactions? A reflective thought for another time.
"Hey Seth," she chimed in brightly. She remembered meeting him...very vaguely...she'd actually been drunk off her rocker at the time... "Nice to meet you...again. At least this time I'm sober?" She laughed in an awkward, embarrassed way. Great going, Eldy, she scolded herself, bring THAT up...he probably wouldn't have remembered if you hadn't opened your mouth and inserted a paw so cleverly.
"Anyway, yes, as my sister mentioned, we have something very important to talk to you about. If you have time to talk, of course." Her expression turned serious, though she was inwardly fretting over how exactly to...well...let the cat out of the bag, so to speak. She was somewhat unsure as to how Seth would take the news...after all, the poor man already had so many children, at least one of which had been causing him a lot of grief lately by up and leaving...would he really be happy about more? Still, it was his duty to help Peaches in some way, since it WAS half his fault.

The man glanced between the siblings. Peaches certainly had strong genes, didn't she? Really, Seth was surprised that it had taken so long for someone - namely, him - to recognize Eldy as the Jack's child.
The things they were saying didn't do anything to relax him. If anything, they made him feel more nervous. "Yeah, we met once." he said to Xiven, then turned his attention back to Eldy. How could he forget having someone who was young enough to be his daughter hitting on him? "Good to see you again, Eldy." he said, not making any references to her mental state and how it may or may not have been effected by alcohol. After all, he wasn't the paragon of sobriety.
So they needed to speak to him? He nodded, then ushered them towards the room, closing the door once they were inside. He figured they didn't want to have this conversation in the hallway where anyone could just waltz past and listen. Once inside he glanced around, then indicated the chairs in the corner. "Sit down, guys, make yourselves comfortable.[/color]" Seth himself just stood there, wondering what was going on. This felt vaguely like he'd imagine an intervention would, in some way. "So, what's going on? Nothing serious, I hope?[/b]"
His mind clicked. Xiven knew about his past job, he was pretty sure. Were they... hiring him? He wasn't sure how to react if they were, because on the one hand, he did miss it sometimes, but on the other hand... he'd quite that occupation for a very good reason.
