She raised an eyebrow at Eldy's comment. She didn't really know what her sister did half the time, but that was just... well whatever. Eldy was a free spirit and they never really stuck their nose in each others business. That's just how it worked.
Xiven made herself at home per Seth's request. Her tail twitching as she debated on how to say what they needed to say. "It's nothing all that awful, we hope." She said with a small shrug. "I think the best way to go about doing this is being horribly blunt. You see our mother has once again gotten herself into a sticky situation and she doesn't want to own up. Typical Peaches."'
She glanced at her sister. "She's pregnant again. And you're probably the father. She didn't want to tell you because she's probably terrified that Heilyn is going to tear off her face."

The only reason Eldryia, who looked so much like her mother, had gone unnoticed for so long was...most people had never even seen her. Except for a few lapses in judgement, the night Seth found her among them, she had been so withdrawn and hidden as to practically not exist for most of her life. It was, after all, dangerous to her mother and herself with Pravus still running about, especially with how unstable he'd become...and even in his best times, he would have as soon killed a child of his of low Rank as blinked. But he was dead now...hence Eldy's desire to see more, do more, and actually learn how to interact with people when they could see you too. All in all a daunting prospect.
But none of that was forefront on her mind right now. She was glad to see Seth didn't care to linger on any embarrassing topics, staunchly ignoring her sister's look, and wasted no time in making herself at home on his couch, draping herself over the arm in a way only a Cat could find comfortable.
She nodded at her sister's words, finding them quite adequate. Really, there wasn't much she could add to that. Well...except...
"She herself fully admits that she has trouble dealing with children." A dry, amused look, recalling her less than stellar childhood...and even Xiven's. "And yet, she's too stubborn to ask for help. She'd just as soon attempt to raise her spawn on her own again, and we thought you should at least have some...say in this." She didn't feel the need to add anything about how he'd had quite a bit of experience raising children in the past.

Once they were both settled, Seth nodded to himself, but still didn't sit down. Instead, he walked across the room to a table, glancing at a mug and taking a swig of its contents. He grimaced, but took it with him all the same, finally sitting in the chair in front of them and glancing from one feline face to the other. Slowly, he rubbed at the rim of the mug, waiting for them to speak. "Sometimes being blunt is all that works, yeah.[/b]" he said with a shrug, taking a long sip out of whatever was in the mug. Yes, sticky situations and Peaches went hand in hand.
When she finished, Seth spewed lukewarm tea out of his mouth, red eyes going round. "What?![/b][/i]"
Oh, this... Was this a prank? He wiped ineffectively at his mouth, and stared at Xiven, waiting for more information. "She... Oh, Suits. Heilyn was there when she got pregnant, if it... If they are mine.[/b]" but what reason would the Torque have to lie? He'd have been more suspicious if Peaches had just waltzed in and announced "Hey, Seth! You da babbyfaddah!". As it was, he had to believe them. He pressed a hand against his mouth, staring at the floor. "We... Wow, more kids. I can't say I was expecting this.[/b]" that was to say the very least. After all, Heilyn had gone to Corvistowne to make sure they didn't have any more...
No more threesomes for him, he realized. Slowly, he looked back up at the two women, biting his lower lip. "I want to help, though. Heilyn will, too. They're family, after all.[/b]"

Xiven refrained from laughing as he spit out the tea. Oh dear, maybe she should have said it some other way. Though Eldy's addition probably helped a tiny bit. And what did he mean that Heilyn was there? Did that mean Mom--EW NO EW. She did not need that mental image at all.
She shifted uncomfortably for a moment.
"We're sorry to dump this on you. Despite my mother's.... reputation she actually doesn't sleep around as often as people think. So either you, her Corivistowne friend, or... well Heilyn I suppose if... you know.... are the father. Mom keeps pretty good track of everything so I imagine you could talk to her about the possibilities. Actually, we were hoping you would." Xiven said with a small shrug.
There was a low hiss outside of the doorway. The small shadow of feet were visible, clearly Peaches had been coming to either stop the girls or tell Seth herself. However, no matter her intentions she had arrived late.
Xiven turned to Eldy, "I think we're busted."

Eldy's tail puffed out slightly and she jumped a bit at Seth's reaction, for some reason having not expected an expulsion of tea to fly through the air. She stifled a slight giggle, though, possibly more of a release in tension than anything else. Her ears went back and an odd look crossed her face at the mention of Heilyn and...things. No, no she didn't particularly want to know about that. Her mom was weird enough on that subject and...eugh.
She was quick to jump on a distraction. "Oh, thank you...we really appreciate that, and Mom will too, even if she wants to be--" The cat broke off at the hiss, ears perking towards the door, straining to catch the sound of movement. She turned to exchange looks with her sister. Oddly enough, she felt a grin slide onto her face. She knew she should be worried about being caught, but it was more amusing than anything. It was nice to get into trouble with Xiven, somehow...made her feel a bit closer to her. Plus, Peaches deserved this.
"Hi Mom~" she sang out, tail twitching and fangs glinting in a mischievous sort of way. "Nice of you to join us!" She'd probably regret being so flippant later, but she didn't really care right now.

This was a lot to take all at once. Seth was, potentially, going to be a father again. For the fourth time. Something in him cringed at that, the memories of dirty diapers and screaming toddlers a thought he wasn't exactly thrilled about. But he was excited, all the same. He loved children, as irritating as they could be. He just wished that Peaches had taken responsibility and come to find him...
He blinked, then sighed. "Yeah, I'll have to go see her. If you guys have any ideas as to where she is...[/b]" he paused, wondering if there was any point to continuing that statement. Probably not. Peaches wasn't an easy one to locate when she didn't want to be found, and it seemed to go without saying that he might need help to locate her. After all, they needed to speak, even if he had no idea how best to go about breaching the subject with her. Maybe he could be subtle about it. Maybe he could --
Well, there was no point to figuring out a way to avoid awkwardness, because if the sounds outside the door were any indication, the woman had located him. And, from the hiss, she had also heard the rest of the conversation. He gave Eldy and Xiven a hopeless look and then stood, crossing the room to the door. He opened it rather abruptly, giving Peaches a smile.
"Peaches,[/b]" he greeted a little anxiously, glancing back into the room at the girls. "Come in. I'd offer you a beer, but...[/b]" he waved his hand vaguely, deciding he'd let her come to her own conclusions there.

Oh they were going to get it. She twitched when Eldy spoke, and waited for her invitation in.
When the door opened, Peaches' arms were crossed and her eyes were narrowed slightly. She eyed Seth for a moment nothing the anxiety that was seeping into his voice. Of course her girls had to beat her to the punch. They should have never learned teamwork.
"Yeah, thanks Seth," she said with a small sigh as she walked in. "I was actually coming to tell you once I'd done the math, so to speak, if they were yours or not. And... it looks like they're yours unless it's immaculate conception." She made a point to glare at her daughters the entire time she was speaking.
She turned back to the bat, "Sorry about this... I normally make sure it can't happen but I guess I slipped." And for once she actually sounded sorry.
Xiven remained silent as her mother tried to glare a hole through their heads. Well, she was getting what she deserved. And at least this made her do something about it. Xiven smirked when her mother turned to Seth.

Eldy kept a small, smug smile on her face the entire time her mother glared at her, expression calm and even and very much the opposite of the livid expression on Peaches' face. Whatever was going to happen, it was so worth it. Getting a one-up on her mother was supremely difficult, so she relished the chance to do so. She couldn't help the little snort that came out at the words I was actually coming to tell you... Yeeeeaaaah, right. Eldy didn't believe that for one second, and she hoped Seth would be smart enough to see through it too.
In the end, she was sure their mother would thank them, once the children were actually born and she realized how difficult it would have been to raise the little terrors by herself. She was sure any offspring of her mother and the bat would certainly qualify under that auspicious label. Really, though, she was almost...curious what their mother would do to punish them. They were adults now, after all, and fully capable of making their own decisions. Plus, Eldy was still planning to leave the palace after all this was sorted out, at least for a time.

The man moved aside, making room for the Jack to enter. He did notice that both of the woman's children had gone deathly quiet, and he glanced back at them. Xiven was smirking, and Eldy just looked vaguely entertained. Both expressions were somehow disquieting to the bat. What had he managed to land himself in the middle of? It almost seemed as if there was something he didn't know about going on between mother and daughters.
He swallowed and turned his attention back on Peaches, scratching at the back of his neck and the hair that tumbled there. "Don't worry about it." he replied almost softly, smiling at her. It was, too. It wasn't as if he was going to freak out. She was pregnant. He hoped it'd be the last time he had children, but it wouldn't be the first, and he was in a position in which he could deal with it. "You know Heilyn and I will help you out however we can, right?"
Hesitantly, Seth reached out and took Peaches's hand. After all, this wasn't the first time they'd had sex. He couldn't help but feel a little bit excited, in some strange way. He was going to be a father. Again. It actually made him laugh to himself.

Peaches was a little more than surprised by Seth's offer. She knew full well he liked children, but all things considered they were coming out of her. And considering her tack record... she had tried really hard to be a good mother. But failed. And it showed a good deal of the time.
And she could feel tears trying to slip their way out. Oh damn. Being overemotional over this wasn't going to help. She took a deep breath and gave a small nod. "Thank you," was all she could managed to say as she choked back the tears. Well, at least these kids had a shot at being normal... maybe. What if she gave birth to a Club?
The thought made shudder.
Xiven watched as her mother struggled to speak. She really hoped this was just an act... but then again trying to guess what her mother was really thinking was next to the impossible. She shifted uncomfortable and looked at Eldy. "Maybe we should leave?"she mouthed, hoping that Eldy could read lips.
