[Bwaha. Nice roll, Kari. >D ]
Heilyn blinked. She'd been willing to wait until Peaches was done. Heilyn knew how important the information Peaches procured was to the Court and did not want to ruin anything for the woman, but if she could be lead to her right now then alright. The employees here would know the privacy requests made by their patrons.
Or not.
"You never seemed that worried about it when you hang from the ceiling, but alright," she shooed the blushing young man away and closed the door. She smirked at the man underneath Peaches, "Hello, Peaches' good friend. I'm another good friend," she turned her head to look at Peaches. She didn't feel the need to be courteous and look her in the eye. "I won't be long, I just need to talk to you, but it can wait," she sauntered over to the pair and put a knee up on the bed to lean in. The face of the two women were quite close, and Heilyn brushed a finger under Peaches' chin, "When you're finished, of course. I'll be waiting."
Maybe that little gesture would help pick things up from that moment of awkwardness. That, and her amusement at the moment juxtaposed her very recent anxiety so sharply, there was just a sudden urge to be mischievous. She left the room and went back down stairs and pulled some strings to get the young man back to serving her. Regardless of the normal service of the place, she knew she'd get especially good service from this young man.

Peaches narrowed her eyes at Heilyn's comment about her ability to stick to the ceiling. "Don't mention that ability in mixed company, not everyone knows about it, and I would like to keep it that way for the sake of my job," she said sharply.
She refrained from rolling her eyes at the next comment and gesture. It wasn't like she was going to get anything done now that they had been so kindly interrupted. She remained silent though as she watched the woman disappear.
"Damnit," she said as she looked at the man. "There's not a chance in hell, is there?"
"Sorry love, not happening tonight."
Peaches refrained from cursing as she slipped off of the man. She was going to kick the owner in the head when she got the chance. Not to mention that idiot boy who had decided to walk in unannounced. She paused for a moment to kiss the man on the cheek, "Sorry about this. I'll play with you next time." With that said she grabbed her straight jacket and normal attired and bolted down the stairs.
Heilyn would have time for one drink before Peaches flopped down in a char besides her. "Why are you here? Seriously. What's going on?"

Oops, oh well. Heh.
"Oh come, don't be so modest. There are strippers who would kill to be able to do what you."
Heilyn looked up from her drink (and the girl that was sitting in her lap) when Peaches flopped down.
"I assume my sorry attempt at saving the situation failed? Sorry, best I could do. I didn't think my boy there would be so eager as to forget proper procedure," she handed the "waitress" a bit of money and her empty glass, "Be a doll and get me one for the road?
"Xiven sent me to find you, bring you this message and have you reply to it verbally," she handed Peaches the envelope she'd received from Xiven.

Peaches face remained as blank as it could possibly as she watched the King. She was debating on walking off and just pretending none of this happened. Instead she crossed her legs and her eyes darted to the waitress who skittered off before going back to Heilyn.
The envelop made her nose wrinkle. She accepted it with a polite and proper thank you before tearing it open. Her eyes skimmed the paper, her face remaining mostly blank. With a small sigh she offered the paper to Heilyn. "It's for you too, and once you read it we need to get a move on."
The letter was fairly simple. Stating that Peaches was to report back with the information on a particular chain of an Ace smuggling ring operating in the Highlands. And towards the end there was a line stating that any messenger was to report back with Peaches for any additional information that they had acquired.
"So any particular reason why the Queen of Hearts sent you to find me?" Peaches muttered as she put some money on the table for the drink.

It was a damned good thing Peaches hadn't walked off, or she would have been dragged back to the Court forcibly.
"Is it? I hadn't read it yet," she took the paper when it was handed to her. When Peaches put the money down on the table Heilyn shook her head and pushed her money back, "No, I've got it. Drinks on me."
She read through the letter, then put it away. She downed the drink that was brought to her just as quickly.
"Alright, then. Off we go, then." She stood up and headed for the door with Peaches, "Xiven sent me as Queen's quest. That's all. Honestly, I thought I was going to have much more of a problem finding you." Guess I got lucky.
The returned to the palace and went to Xiven's office. On the trip over Heilyn had filled the awkward silence by getting an idea of what dangerous and potentially illegal thing Peaches might want from Heilyn's Bog connections. Had to make it up to her somehow. She knocked on Xiven's door.
"Your Majesty?"

Oh, and how pleased Peaches would be getting poison from the Bog. It definitely made up for all the trouble and possible rumors that could be spreading. At least that employee would be sure to keep his mouth shut.
"Come in," Xiven said when she head the questioning voice on the other side. Heilyn had returned early, which meant she was successful. And that also meant that she would have to deal with her mother shortly.
When the woman entered she was greeted with a rather bright and curious smile. "I'm glad that you've returned so soon, did everything go smoothly?" While the woman was reporting the news, Xiven was concentrating on changing the marking on her chest so it changed into a bright Q.
There we go. Queenship. That wasn't so terribly hard. "Well, congratulations," she said after the woman had finished. "You'll get your new work load tomorrow morning, Your Majesty."

"As am I," Heilyn replied. The familiar tingling warmth of her changing rank felt for the last time, she sighed and smiled. She's ascended as high as she could, quite a feat, but she'd celebrate later. "I look forward to turning my desk into a mountain range. It was looking too much like the mild Highland hills anyway." Hmm, perhaps celebration sooner rather than later might be a good idea. As soon as she got to her room she wrote and sent out a letter with a very fast Spade requesting a few Bog poisons, one of which being able to mess with memory. The plant containing the active ingredient should be in season by now...
[Sorry I took so long to write one crappy, single post, but we are finally closed up! Yay!]
