"It will be!" Felix replied just as cheerfully, following Rose in his unhurried, waddling way as she walked out of the cafe and towards the bar. He took a brief moment to glance up at the stars (well, what he could see of them from here, anyway) as soon as the cold night air him him, taking a deep breath. He loved the city, even though he would miss his favorite seat on the edge of the lake he lived near. There, you could see so many more stars...and the moon reflecting off the water...it took his breath away no matter how many times he'd seen it.
There was one good thing about his life style: it sure gave him enough time to appreciate the simple things in life. But tonight, he was going to party! With Rose! And her buddy, if he or she showed up. Realizing he'd fallen just slightly behind, Felix scurried a bit to catch up, puffing as he finally fell back into step right behind his friend.
"Hey, so uh, speaking of drinking buddies," he managed between pants, waddling as fast as he could without too much exertion (man did Rose have a long stride!). "What about your friend? Is he gonna meet us there?"

She didn't mean to walk fast. Even if she had been in animal form her pace would have been speedy. It was a force of habit from years of traveling and... running. How much time did she spend running from people who wanted to throw things at her head.
Rosemary paused when Felix caught up with her and asked the question. "Actually I just need to stop off here. Let me pop in a second," she pointed to the door of an apartment complex. She actually had no idea who lived here, but as long as she got through the door everything would be fine.
She slipped through the door with a smile on her face. After a moment she summoned Forge. "Happy now?" she said with a title of her head and smirk.
"Not until we get to the bar," he grinned as he opened the door, ushering her out.
Rosemary reappeared, her weapon trailing behind her. "Felix, meet Forge. He's an old friend of the family."
"Nice to meet you."

Felix's ears twitched. "Oh, okay!" As Rose went into the apartment complex to get her friend, the Porcupine leaned against the stairs, panting and glad for a chance to catch his breath. After a moment, he wiped his brow, smoothed his quills back, and turned with a big grin to meet whoever was going to come out the door.
Upon seeing the man, Felix gave him a friendly nod and a quick once over. He had very red hair...so he must be...Highlands? No, wait...Kahmden! Faintly, in the light, blue freckles stood out against that pale skin... "Nice to meet you, too, Forge," he said, thinking that was a funny name, but he had better sense than to say so. After all, he'd met another human whose name had been even weirder...Apocalypse. Now that guy had been kinda weird.
Felix rubbed his paws together and turned back to Rosemary, tail wagging, a moment later. "So! Let's get drinking while the night is still young, huh?"
Never mind that it was late enough that the night could hardly be called 'young', in any case. Let someone who cared more worry about those little details.

She smiled brighter than she had before. "Let's rock and roll!"
They arrived at the bar fairly quickly. Rosemary made sure to keep her stride shorter for the sake of the almost exhausted porcupine. Apparently she was walking a bit too fast because of her bipedal for, or Felix was a bit out of shape. For the benefit of the doubt she would assume he just had terribly short legs.
When they arrived she stood to the side, allowing for Felix and Forge to enter first as she took up the rear.
The bar was almost empty, but there were a few chatty people throughout it. "Not as happening I would have hoped," Rosemary said with a curious expression. Maybe they were late for the party? Or maybe in this bar the party never started.
Forge glanced around the bar. Not a single Yarrow was there. He frowned. Maybe he could get Rosemary wasted and have a little fun that way? She always had a blast when she was plastered.

Felix let out a whoop of agreement and shook his quills a bit before trotting after the other two, excited enough about the bar and the drinks therein to no longer notice how fast they were walking. If he had, though, he would sure have been glad that Rose had slowed the pace. As a Porcupine, he wasn't built for speed, despite also being a Spade. And as a lazy bum, he was also very out of shape when it came to anything except dancing.
He walked happily inside the bar as the door was held open...and blinked golden eyes in confusion at how empty the place was. "Well. That is less than awesome." Not that he was about to let that get him down, of course, and he turned to look curiously at Rose again. "Want to find a table or just go right to the bar? I mean, we can just make our own party, right? They have the drinks for it, and that's what matters." He included Forge in his glance, wanting to have the new man's opinion as well.

Rosemary sighed and looked to Forge. It wasn't like she could magically liven up the party with a flick of the wrist. And even if she wore a lampshade on her head she probably wouldn't liven up this party.
"Eh well, might as well go straight to the bar."
"Not going to find anything at the table we can't find at the bar..." Forge said with a sigh. "Probably not even going to find decent alcohol in this place."
"Not so loud," she said flicking the man in the ear before walking over to the bar. Waving for the boys to follow her. She should have expected it to be this empty this late at night. It was close to closing hour, and really they didn't have enough time to get wasted. That was, at least, if Rosemary could still properly hold her alcohol. It had been a while.

Felix's ears pressed back and he frowned significantly at Forge. "Hey now! Don't be a wet blanket. We should at least try the stuff first," he said, but then grinned and elbowed the man to show there were no hard feelings. Really, he'd had his share of bad alcohol, and he doubted that what they served here could be any worse than the super cheap junk he resorted to when his favorite bar back home was closed for some reason.
Perking up, Felix trotted after Rose, hopping up onto a bar stool with only a little trouble, and putting his paws on the counter. He looked around for the bartender, ready to start. However, such a person was not to be found immediately, and he wondered if he was in th back. He pouted for half a second before he occupied himself anticipating all the great drinks he could order when the man did show. He knew about how much alcohol he could handle, and it was quite a bit thanks to his Selkie physique and the fact that he drank fairly often. He turned to his two companions, thinking it would be a good time to make conversation. At least then they wouldn't be bored even though the place was so empty.
"So, do you like music, Forge?" It was the first topic to come to mind, for some reason.

Forge was half tempted to dodge the elbow nudge, but instead he smiled in response. This kid was pretty... lazy. He was sure that was the proper word for it. He totally wasn't Rosemary's type, but she had made exceptions in the past. On the bright side she would at least have a little fun tonight.
"Music? I suppose. I'll be the first to admit that it's entirely Rosemary's fault that I now enjoy epic ballots." He grinned and shot her a smile. As for the bartender, "I'll have a Vesper, and if you don't serve mixed drinks I'll have something off the tap."
"I'll have your best beer," Rosemary said with a smile. "And for the record, Felix, I'm a fan of classical music. I know I don't look to be the type but I'm a bag filled with nothing but surprises."
"Funny, I think she looks more like a book, don't you Felix?"

Aha, the bartender had reappeared! Waiting until his two companions ordered, Felix just crossed his paws and grinned at the man. "Surprise me," he said. Let no one say he couldn't be adventurous every now and again! Variety was the spice of life, after all. Especially if it took even less work on his part to get it. That settled, he happily turned to talking about music.
"Heh, well, she does tend to have that effect on people," the Porcupine laughed, not meaning anything much by it. Her answer, though, surprised him. But before he could reply he was caught off guard by Forge's little joke, and he couldn't help laughing for a minute, only made worse by the fact it was late and he was long overdue for a nice strong drink.
"Hey...hey now, Forge, she makes a lovely book." He cleared his throat, glancing out of the corner of his eye to make sure Rose wasn't offended...though he doubted she would be. She seemed to have a very good humor about the whole curse thing. "And classical music can be pretty rad. Or...it's very pretty. Very pretty. I tend ta like stuff I can dance to, though, for the most part. Something with a beat, you know? But all music has it's place, is what I always like to say."

Rosemary proceeded to punch Forge in the shoulder. The smile on her face said it was playful, the actual force was enough to make the summoned weapon wince. He gave her a mock hurt look before looking back at the porcupine.
"She's better than a book because she can fight back I suppose," He said as he started to rub the sore spot on his arm. At least he wasn't going to bruise or anything. That was the good part about not being a card. Things might have hurt, but when you reverted to back to your actual form everything was fine. "Classical music is far more diverse than you think. Considering you could easily use the roots of it to make something with a beat."
Rosemary nodded. "I take it you go to clubs often Felix?"
The drinks arrived shortly after she posed the question. A beer, a Vesper, and a mysterious liquor that was delivered with a smile.
Rose raised the glass, "Bottoms up."
