The snowflakes drifted slowly downward, staining the purple feathers he was dressed with. Beautiful things really.. The hawk thought to himself as a near-smile curled the corners of his beak, looking at the surprisingly clear sky. The clouds that did hang into the sky just added to the sight. It wasn't often that he saw something like this, it wasn't also that he stopped and did something mundane like this each time that it snowed. The fact that he did now surprised even himself, he never considered himself to be someone that liked such things. Well, liked? Angavar did enjoy the scenery, but that didn't mean that he would do so each time that it snowed. He most of the time had better things to do with his time than sit still and look at the sky. He only really did it when he needed to relax, especially after a hard day of work, not that someone else would consider it hard work what he did. The good mood that had wrapped its arms around his mind disappeared and his mood turned sour. His eyes glaring around. The usual -slightly- violent hints returning as well. It didn't help that he still needed to find a house or find his parents, they seemed to have disappeared from the bottom of the world a long time ago. He didn't know a reason, it just looked like they stood up and left, never to return. A new family had taken residence into his old house, so he couldn't return to that. He wouldn't have minded if it was still warm, he preferring the warm night sky than the cold walls. But now it turned colder outside he preferred those cold walls where he could light a fire safely. He shifted his weight, feathers fluffing out for a minute; before he settled again. His shoulders raised slowly as a sigh escaped him Well, I can try again. He once more thought, those flashing orbs moving back to the small houses in the distance. He almost found it funny, that they appeared so frail from a distance, but where clearly build for forever. The thoughts of his mind had changed so suddenly, leaving him breathless for a moment as he pondered further over the village there. His eyes narrowed and his wing spread lightly, shortly followed by the other. He went to take flight, but something paused him as his wing folded again to touch the scarf around his neck. It smelt nice, like rain that fell on grass. He pondered briefly as well if it did anything? He of course heard of those mythical objects that granted their owner special things. He hoped if it happened to him it wouldn't be that bad, but he never would know. Maybe it would be bad, but somewhat positive for him? Oh... Well, he would have to see and wait really. He couldn't force it to do its power-granting.

Cold. WET. Heavy. Tired. WET. Cold. Hungry. The black-and-purple form would stand out brightly against the snow and the grey rock as the Torquehelm Feline trudged up the well-worn (but somewhat slippery) path. Her binding, the heavy metal ball-and-chain, dragged along behind her, dead weight as she dug her claws into the rock at the steep parts. Stupid...mountains...ugh...Why did it have to be snowing? WHY? Despondently, the Feline continued her slow ascent, not noticing the figure of the Hawk who was somewhat above her right now. She thought she could see a little village ahead, and with a shiver to dislodge the snow from her fur, puffed out for warmth, she redoubled her efforts to get up the cliff. For any looking on, they might not note too much out of the ordinary with the girl, except that she was missing one of her ears, which looked like it had been bitten off, though the wound was long since healed.

He turned his head as he heard something clang against the rocks not too far away from him. A brow raised Well, this certainly Is interesting.. He thought, before shifting his weight lightly "You seem far from home." he stated, not bothering to be subtle about it. He noticed the missing ear after looking her up and down From a battle? He questioned himself Or something else?
He shifted his weight once more, before hopping slightly closer to her What is she searching here anyway? His thoughts continued There isn't really anything that she could be interested in... A soft mental sigh and he extended out a wing "Anyway, you look as if you can use help.." He continued "Can I help you with that?"
A strange offer, most of the time he would let the other Card alone. It was harsh, but that was just him being him Why am I offering help in the first place then? He questioned himself Maybe because I'm in a good mood for once? He mentally nodded, that should be it. He was happy, having enjoyed the scenery, unblemished by any other Cards. At least, not as far as he could see.

The Feline tensed as she heard a voice from above her, suddenly, unexpectedly. Her already fluffed out fur poofed up even more; a reaction to being startled. She was usually aware enough of her surroundings that no one could sneak up on her, but today...today she'd just been miserable. She squinted up through the infernal cold whiteness of the air, and saw a flash of purple wings. Ah...a bird, and native to the region. That explained it.
"No, really? What gave me away?" she responded a bit sarcastically, in no mood to play nice. Though at his offer, the look on her features smoothed a bit. Her ear went back and she eyed him warily. He had a strange...aura about him that she didn't like.
Wait, what the hell? Why was she thinking about -auras-? She didn't believe in that crap. She really must be exhausted. "If you know of somewhere warm I can stay until this damn blizzard is over, I'd appreciate it," she said, though her look was not as harsh as her words. She didn't give her name yet, as the...Hawk, maybe?...had not yet given his.

He didn't miss it that she squinted her eyes, searching for him and he allowed himself to be seen. He could have flew away quickly and didn't let himself show. He didn't see why he would do that however and kept standing. He finally noticed her gaze on him and almost smiled, seeing the realization in her eyes.
He laughed softly at the sarcastic comment, he liked those. Those characters where most of the time more interesting than others. They didn't care about what they said and that could make a conversation so much brighter. He half-shrugged nonetheless in answer to her question "Lucky guess?" He tried, raising his eyebrow slightly as if questioning her this time if she would accept this answer as truth.
He saw the look on her features change and unconsciously relaxed. He was slightly uneasy around felines, not strange since he had been chased once by one, long ago. He didn't want a repeat of that anymore, not that it looked as if it would happen any time soon. He finally was an adult and could defend himself if it was needed.
He heard her words, then bowed lightly "Of course." He spoke, he had found a place where he could stay, it wasn't large or pretty. It was nonetheless warm enough in this time of the year "It isn't much, but at least it will warm you.." He almost chuckled in himself And that's all she asks for.. He wondered why they hadn't given each other names yet. He didn't know who should give it first.
He finally broke, curiosity in him too great "May I ask you for your name?" He finally questioned, making it sound that he was just asking the question to make conversation, not out of true curiosity. Those who knew him could see that it was the exact opposite however from the second thing, he was too curious.

'Lucky guess,' he said. He was lucky she wasn't more prone to violence, is what he was. Eldryia snorted at this thought, but didn't say anything else. She'd already said what she needed to on the subject of his Captain Obvious routine.
Despite her bad mood, the Hawk truly had little to fear from this Feline, as she was better suited to stealthy get aways than flashy attacks when things went south. And other than acting a bit aloof and thick headed, this Bird had done nothing to really upset her.
"Thank you," she said a bit stiffly, though this was mainly because, now that she'd stopped trudging forward to talk to him, the cold was getting to her even worse than before. She shivered, dislodging the myriad of small flakes that had landed on her fur, and couldn't help thinking it was so cold that if she didn't move soon, the metal ball attached to her back leg would get frozen to the ground, and then what would she do? Be stuck here until spring, most likely. Or until an army of Morganberries came to free her with their flame powers.
Which wasn't very likely, so getting stuck was the only foreseeable consequence. She hoped that the Hawk led them both to this shelter soon.
She frowned up at his oddly worded question, walking closer to him, just to be moving. "If I may ask for yours," she began warily, but then she just shook her head and sighed. Since when was -her- name the one she couldn't repeat? "It's Eldryia."

[OOC: Sorry for the lateness!]
He bowed his head briefly in response to her "No problem, miss." He ignored the stiff words. He did know that he had annoyed her by asking such obvious questions, but he couldn't stop himself. He didn't enjoy annoying others, but sometimes when he was in a bit crueler mood he couldn't do something else.
The hawk smiled once more and nodded Eldryia, his mind repeated Quite a nice name.. He then considered answering the answer that she had shot back in reply to his. He finally shrugged, it couldn't hurt if she knew his or not "Angavar." He finally spoke "A pleasure, I'm sure.." He didn't give her time to respond as he turned lightly, just to avoid hitting her and turning his back to her completely.
His wings spread and he took off, circling quite low above her head. He didn't enjoy cold feet and she seemed quite cold herself, it would be common sense to offer her some warmth "We can talk further in my house.." He again spoke, amusement shining in his purple eyes, circling a few more times he slowly started to fly the way that would lead to the place he had called home for weeks now.
His eyes scanned his surroundings, hoping to spot the small place quickly. His gaze then drifted lightly to her, he hoped that she would appreciate that he flew so low that he was still in hearing-distance. The feathers on his wings slowly getting heavy as more snow landed on them and melted because of his body-heat.

She nodded at his greeting. "Yeah, same to you, etc.," the Feline shrugged, shivering as the deep cold set in further. She clearly wasn't in the mood to exchange pleasantries out in the snow. She watched as the Hawk took off, grateful for the lack of dawdling. Though really, he was probably getting cold too. Those feathers of his could only protect him so much against the cold, especially when wet, when their heaviness would probably impede his flying.
Gritting her teeth, Eldy forced herself to move forward again, ignoring the fact that her paws were very numb by now. A brief smile did cross her face at his next statement, though. "Now that's the best idea I've heard all day!" Eldy called over the howling of the wind. She didn't say anything else as she followed his purple form, hoping that his house wasn't inaccessible to non-flying Cards, as that would present a problem. A problem that would no doubt involve her scaling cliffs with naught but her own claws, if such a feat was even possible. It was the thought of warmth and shelter from the storm that allowed her to even continue putting one paw in front of the other as it was. She didn't want to waste any energy with talking, at any rate.

He almost chuckled as she let out that it would be the best idea. He slowly led her further, knowing that it wouldn't be too far for her to reach and something she would be more grateful for. The shelter he called home was quite close to main ground, unthanks the fact that Angavar liked heights. She would have to climb higher, but it was a path so that not flying creatures or creatures without claws could reach it as well.
It was not too long after that he finally angled his wings so that he could slide down to the solid ground beneath him. He looked at her and then grinned, he would encourage her. It maybe even would annoy her further! "Not too far anymore!" He called in her direction, he then turned to open the door and hopped inside.
He went straight for the stove and put some tea on it. They could use it after the cold that had soaked to their bones. He could work on it as she made her way here, so when she entered she instantly could drink the tea if she so desired. He also could make something else if she requested it. He would not like it, but he still needed to remind himself that he needed to play nice.
The words on his back explaining what kind of person he had been before he had become this awkward creature that didn't know how to react kindly back to kindness. He was more used to sarcasm.

If the energy had been left to the Feline to groan when she saw the steep path she still needed to climb to reach his house (and she could see it now, or what she thought must be it, through the blinding white that filled all her vision) she would have done so with gusto. Instead, she kept pushing on, thinking only of shelter and warmth, always shelter and warmth, and perhaps some tea...that would be just lovely.
Biting back the sarcastic remarks that came to mind when Captain Obvious struck again (she knew it wasn't that far, she could SEE it, for Suits' sake!) only because she didn't have the breath to give voice to them, Eldy instead merely gave the Hawk a mild glare, digging her claws into the rock to keep from slipping off the path in the snow.
In the end, it was five minutes later that the wet, shivering, panting Torquehelm at last pushed open the door and made her way into the house. She stopped when her tail passed the door frame, swaying where she stood but looking around. It was a modest place; small and homey, but it was warm and dry and she could smell tea from the other room. It was pure heaven in that moment. And Angavar must be the angel. She snorted tiredly at the thought. He may have had wings and feathers, and be helping her out, but she could tell the Villa was no angel. Still...she wasn't ungrateful.
"Thanks for letting me in." Wet fur fluffed up, trying to get dry quickly so that the bone-deep cold could finally be fought off by the glowing warmth of the fire.
