Upon hearing a faint "come in" from inside, Cal proceeded to open the door and walk in. With a smile on her face, she greeted The Queen. "Hello dear!" But upon seeing Xiven's expression coupled with her quill being chewed upon, the canine became slightly worried. "Are you alright? You look rather...stressed." Stressed certainly seemed like the right word to describe the look on Xiven's face at the moment.
Calanthe walked across the room towards the feline until she was close enough to nuzzle her. She knew Xiven had a lot to think about at all times, but she wanted to try and lift some of the burden off her shoulders. Even if it was for just a little while.
But Cal wasn't sure quite what to say next. Choosing her words carefully, she spoke softly while looking up at her lover. "What can I do for you? I hate seeing you like this, and I only want to help. Even if it's only a little bit."

Xiven blinked at the question. Then she realized that she was practically eating her quill. Uh, that would do it. Clearing her throat and setting the feather down she smiled.
"I'm fine, really. Just sometimes when I think too much about something I start eating inanimate objects related to birds. It might have something to do with the fact that I'm a cat," she chuckled.
She was a little stressed, but it was nothing new. Nothing that she couldn't handle with a bit of hard work and pulling strings. At least she hoped. Now she would just have to convince Calanthe that she wanted to live in the Highlands so their baby boy wouldn't get killed or sent to some sort of brothel. The very thought sent a good deal of rage through Xiven's mind. "Well there is something you can do for me. We need to talk about... your living arrangements."

Calanthe giggled at Xiven's remark regarding her quill. She was glad to see that The Queen wasn't stressed enough not to laugh. Seeing the laughter light up her face brightened up the mood in the room immediately.
Ah, yes. Her living arrangements. That is what she originally came here to talk about, right? The future of their family. Best get on that right away. "Yes, dear. That is the reason why I'm visiting. We said we'd talk about this once I recuperated, and now that I have, we should make preparations."
She went to go sit in the chair across from Xiven's desk so they could discuss the matter more seriously. "What exactly did you have in mind? Just as long as our children are safe, I don't care where we have to live."
Cal blinked back the tears that suddenly came to her eyes. She'd honestly never felt more passionate about something in her entire life, besides her business as a florist. She hoped beyond hope that everything would work out.

Xiven smiled, taking a deep breath before she spoke. Hopefully Calanthe would like the suggestion. Hopefully she wouldn't think it was a bad one. If she did, Xiven was out of usable and decent ideas. "There is a town not to far from here. Less than an hour walk, actually. It's a quaint little place where you would be able to have a nice house, and actually run your flower shop. I had a servant check on a particular place."
She shuffled a few papers and presented them to Calanthe. "I think it would be best if you didn't live here just because of the... risks. Me being the Queen I could have to face some sort of challenger and if they win then I highly doubt they would allow you to stay here. I want you to be able to have a life without me just... just in case."

Calanthe listened carefully to Xiven's recommendation. In all honesty, it sounded like the best option for her and their children. It was obvious that the Queen had put a lot of thought and effort into this idea as she took the papers from her hands. The canine looked over them carefully, and the Highland town sounded perfect for raising a family. She could definitely relocate her florist business there as well. Yes, this could work. No, it would work. It had to. "This sounds like the best plan, Xiven. You've really put a lot of deliberation into all this, and I appreciate all of it. I'm ready to do this, as soon as possible if that helps. I will miss being here with you, but I know our family will flourish this way. I love you, Xiven. So, so much."The overwhelming sense of love seemed to course all throughout Calanthe's body, making her feel warm all over. Suddenly, everything seemed to elongate, stretch and grow all at once. In all honesty, it felt almost like small orgasm. After a few moments, Cal was sitting there, in shock at what just happened. She stared down at herself, and she now had long arms and legs. Her paws had turned into furry hands, and she had breasts. She had to resist the urge to touch them right then and there. Looking up at Xiven, she smiled and couldn't help but giggle a bit. "Well, that was unexpected, wasn't it?

Xiven could feel herself breathing easy again. Things were going to be fine. Things were going to go smoothly. She wasn't going to have to play a dangerous game with the Gardens over her son. So many sons, it was mildly ridiculous. Either way, at least things were going to go smoothly from here on out.
She smiled and was prepared to say something until she noticed that something was off. She had seldom seen it happen--someone acquiring their bipedal form--so it was almost impossible to mask the surprise on her face.
Well. It was unexpected.
"Congratulations," she said after a moment, trying not to laugh at Cal's rather blunt statement. "You've certainly earned such a surprise." The woman stood up and pulled a small package off the shelf. "I was saving this but I suppose now would be a perfect time to celebrate, herm?"

Cal blushed when she saw the surprised look on Xiven's face. Then she looked over herself again, and couldn't believe that she had obtained her bipedal form. Standing up, on just two legs this time, was a great feeling. She walked around the office a bit, all the while her tail wagging with happiness. When Xiven offered her congratulations, she turned back towards her, blushing even more.
"I never thought this day would come, for a little ol' 6 of Diamonds like me! And what is this?" she said as the package was handed to her. It wasn't very big, but she could hear something moving around on the inside. Not sure what to expect, she opened the lid of the small box slowly.
Inside was a pair of goggles, all shiny and new. With a gasp and a smile, she took them out of the box and placed them onto her head. She could see perfectly out of them, and the strap was at just the right length so as not to be too tight. Lifting the goggles so they sat on top of her head, she went over to the Queen so she could properly thank her with a hug.
"Thank you so much, Xiven. For everything. You've given me a new family, a new home, and most of all, someone to love." Stepping back so she could look her lover in the eyes, she then moved in to give the feline a light kiss. This was truly one of the happiest moments of her life.

Xiven waited eagerly for the Yarrow to open up the package. Hopefully she had managed to get her a decent enough gift. Calanthe was always so thoughtful and Xiven had never given her a proper gift. So when the woman gasped with delight Xiven's heart skipped a little beat.
The Queen still didn't expect the hug. The thing about bipedal forms was the change in height. Cal was much taller now that she was standing on two legs, and Xiven felt quite short simply being in her human form. She should have honestly been used to it by now, considering she was a cat and that just generally meant she was short. She was also getting a nice view of Cal's brand new chest.
She knew better than to stare. "No need to thank me for so much. You helped make several of those things yourself." She kissed the other woman lightly in return. "Thank you for putting up with the complex mess called me."

When Cal pulled away from their hug, she noticed Xiven staring at her chest slighty. It did seem to be at the right height now that she had her biped form. She blushed slightly before her kiss was returned just as lightly. At Xiven's last remark, she cupped the Queen's face in her now furry hands, and pressed her forehead against hers. There was so much she wanted to say in response to that, and it seemed to flow out of her all at once.
"I love every little part of you. Even the complex parts. And you know why? Because you've put up with every crazy part of me. I know our relationship hasn't been an easy one, especially now that we've had children. And yet, here you are, taking care of us, making sure we're safe. I couldn't have asked for a better family, or a better father to our children."
A tear started streaming down her cheek, soon getting lost in her fur. She knew it would be hard at times to be away from this wonderful woman, but in the end, this would only bring them closer. Nothing could tear them apart.

"Eh. Eh. Eh. No crying," she said as she shook a finger at Calanthe. "This is a good and happy day. There's no point in crying over things at the moment."
She crossed her arms for a moment in thought. "So, let's have something to eat before anything else happens. You need a little bit of a break from our already demanding children, and I need a bit more tea to get through the day."
It wasn't time for lunch either. In fact they were barely even at midday. Somethings things dragged on for terribly long. So tea and a snack sounded like the best possible plan she could come up with so the hours wouldn't seem so long.
Resting. Why could it be so difficult. "Come one, let's go for a little bit of a walk. You haven't been able to run around for a while."
