Kaden had never considered himself a charismatic sort. Especially not on the caliber of diamond, but Dad did love Diamonds... so maybe there was something to it? Though, with the confidence that radiated from his peacock-colored wings, Kaden couldn't really help himself. He said what he wanted without the worry of faux pas or sounding like an idiot, none of that really mattered. If on the rare occasion he stumbled upon someone who didn't like what he had to say, he'd just move along and it was their loss.
Luckily, it didn't appear to be the case today. Miss Ivy was friendly and was no longer a threat to his money-making, and so he strolled along with the utmost cheer. "Ah! A Corvie in the bloodline? Very cool. Dad's a Corvie, but not so much a the sort to experiment on others. He makes little critters and stuff though, clockwork ones."
Standing beside her, peering across the way to the Fallen Wing, Kaden simply grinned at his new friend. So she did some dirty dealings as well? "You're definitely not a book to judge, then, Miss Ivy." That explained the slightly more relaxed morality that had encouraged her to simply let him go. Good to know, good to know! "Well then, I wish you well on your endeavor!" She pulled the door open for him, saving him the awkwardness of doing it for himself. Awesome little lady, she was!
"I!" he finished cheerfully, "am off to haggle with the bartender. If you need a guide or anythin' from me, just give me a holler. I'll be here for a bit yet."

Oh? A mechanical Corvie? That was awesome. "I figured you were at least part Corvie with your bright colors," she commented. Most people simply stared at her own mix and shrugged it off. Highlander Corvie, though she liked to think that she was far more Highlander than anything else.
"Why thank you Kaden, and no need for the formalities of Miss," She waved a paw dismissively. Titles weren't something she ever liked. That was one of the reasons why she was never going to bother with getting involved in the courts.
"Have fun," she said with a cheerful smile as the bird passed her by. She took a deep breath before actually stepping into the establishment. Oh she really hoped the young man would be waiting for her. The anticipation bubbled up inside of her. She had a secret admirer. He was cute. He had useful information. Her heart skipped a beat as she slipped inside to look for the mouse in question.

((A door on the left right behind the bar opens. The bar-man himself is currently over at the opposite end discussing things with a few old friends, leaving the door unguarded...with exception to 3 patrons watching.
One of them is a Selkie/Morganberry Fox, a Jack of Spades. He has an eye-patch and seems to be eying the open door as well... Another is a Human formed Card, a Jack of Hearts woman with hair that suggests a Josiggy. The last is a Bipedal Corvie Bull/Basset Hound, a 10 of Hearts. All of them seem rather interested in that door...
An odd blue glow hovering at Human waist height looks a bit like that note that Eurwen opened before... Careful though...that Fox looks fast.
Using your best judgment, either talk to, swindle and beg, or fight these patrons as privately as possible to avoid the attention of the barman and the cops. Get to the note and then begin searching the room in the back. The room in the back is where the barman lives, has one bed, a closet, a washbasin, and a tiny door...big enough to crawl through...))

Kaden waved a wing cheerfully as he parted ways with Eurwen and made his way to the bar... only to discover the bartender was absent from his post. Drat. His gaze scanned the room and found the bartender on the opposite side of the bar discussing something with friends or what he assumed was friends. They all seemed chummy enough, at very least, that Kaden didn't feel right pestering them.
He'd wait then. Or try to.
And then he noticed the unusual trio. Or rather, he noticed the Jack of Spades with the rockin' eye-patch. He looked dangerous and quick and... well, like he fit in perfectly with the unsavory business common to the Outer Bazaar. With the cheerful confidence that constantly surrounded him, Kaden strolled right up to the three and, with a bright grin, introduced himself.
None of the three seemed particularly entertained by his sudden interruption of their... what were they doing? Kaden wasn't sure. But that didn't really matter. At least they were talking.

Eurwen found herself mildly disappointed when she didn't see the young man in the bar. For a moment she had thought that this was all some cruel joke, that was until she spotted the blue glowing letter. Her heart skipped a beat when she spotted the people watching the door.
Her face faltered for a moment.
Jack, Jack, Ten. Of course they were higher ranks. Everyone was always a higher rank than she was. She should work on upping her rank sometime soon so she would at least be better prepared for situations like this. She should have let her brother tag along. He would have been useful in this situation. For a moment she debated on swallowing her pride and begging.
And then Kaden suddenly veered back into her line of sight. Wait what? He seemed to be on a mission.
A distraction. Perfect.
Eurwen was casual. Kaden was large enough and bright enough for her to go unnoticed. When the people were talking to them she pocketed the note. Or rather she snatched it up and shoved it into her money pouch. Before they could notice that she had snatched the letter she scurried as fast as her paws could carry her.
She needed to get out of sight. Right now. She bolted for the nearest door, opening it slightly and squeezing herself in without opening it the entire way. She pulled her tail through before lightly shutting it behind her.
Her back was pressed against the door as she looked around. Obviously someone lived here, and she could only assume that it was the bartender. It was a rather sparse place.... eh well. It could have been worse.
Trying to stay calm she poked around. Maybe there was a way out? She didn't exactly want to be locked in a room with no escape. She definitely didn't want the owner to find her. That was when she noticed the tiny door.
Maybe she could try to open it and crawl through it? That was assuming it lead somewhere. It could be a cupboard for all she knew. She reached into her money bag and pulled out the new letter. Maybe it would tell her what she needed to do?

Kaden was learning very quickly how his 'new friends' felt about a random stranger popping up and harassing them all with questions. Apparently, they were those secretive types that liked to be all stoic and mysterious.
Or, of course, they may have just been sensitive about their missing eye.
Just when they'd all turned their backs to the door, focused fully on the cheerful pest before them, Kaden half-noticed the lovely smell of chocolate wafting by. For some reason, it made him think of Ivy, and his gaze briefly dropped from the One-Eyed Fox to catch sight of a long feathered tail wrapped in a sprig of ivy vanish into the door behind the bar.
Oh? What could be back there that Miss Ivy doing back there? Hadn't she been the good samaritan who had protested his nosing around in other people's places? Or, perhaps, this was her non-samaritan like business here? Either way Kaden didn't dwell much beyond that. He'd find out later if they ran into each other again.

((The Bull hybrid noticed the tail as well and moves quietly, for such a large brute, toward the door. This also notifies his fellows and they begin to meander their way there as unobtrusively as possible.))

Eurwen slowly felt the panic building as she stared from the letter to the door and back again. The longer she spent in here, the more likely she was going to be caught. And what if the group had actually noticed her earlier? They seemed concerned about the letter. They could have easily been assassins, bounty hunters or something far worse. And they were high ranked.
She took several deep breaths before shoving the letter back in her pouch. She had to get out of here. And she could only assume the worst and that slipping out the way she came would probably make things worse.
She rested her paw on the door knob. It was small enough that she could crawl into it. And if it was just a crawl space she could at least hide. And maybe she could get the element of surprise if worse came to worse.
As soon as she opened the door she would crawl through it no matter what was on the other side. She didn't want to get caught. She would shut the door behind her no matter how awkwardly she had to bend to do it. It was nice being small at a time like this.

Kaden blinked momentarily in surprise when the group he'd been cheerfully harassing simply.. meandered away from him. He snorted slightly and Quicksand, noticing his master's frustration, echoed with a brief sneeze. The muttbird glanced to the side, eyed the bartender, and then looked back at the group.
Kaden had no intention of getting himself in trouble presently. He still had an order to make for Hatter and messing that up would be more trouble than it was worth. Still, Kaden didn't like being blown off like that and like hell was he going to let them get away with just ignoring him.
He still hadn't gotten their names or anything.
Not to mention that everyone seemed really interested in that door that Ivy had gone through. His expression darkened a little though his grin grew wider and more cheerful. He leaned back casually, appearing to be focused on the bartender across the room, and fired his small ability at the offending Bull mix. It wasn't much, but it would hopefully by his friend some time while the trio tried to figure out who was flinging spells.
Small Ability: Once a week, he is able to cause another person to go cross-eyed for a full 30 seconds.

((The Bull mix will stop when his eyes cross and carefully feels for and seats himself rather than blow his mission, thought the other two slip into the room without issue.
The Fox has a good nose on him and Ivy has quite a distinct scent. The door she crawled into leads to a tiny backroom about as big as a double closet and contains a series of boxes, all locked by magic, but all capable of being hoisted if you have help to carry them.
The other two are ready to fight if they get locked in with this duo and the fight itself is up to you. So is how carefully the bedroom is searched afterward... Good luck, remember that your previous goals listed are not overwritten by these additions, simply added to. <3))
