((Inside of the box is:
Plush Toy: This tiny stuffed doll resembles the Biped form of the infamous Serafino, long-dead Queen of Hearts! He looks so cuddly like this, soft velveteen making up most of his body, peppered with tiny feathers of Egyptian cotton. Once claimed by a Card it will grant them one ability (never able to give the ability out again). They will find themselves, once a week, now able to whisper the words "pull the string" and have a rather unpleasant thing happen to an opponent they focus on (only one). Once the words are whispered and the victim concentrated upon, the victim will feel an incredible sense of nausea and pain in the abdominal area. Their insides will feel like they are drying up...and filling up and within ten seconds their esophagus will fill with thick, fluff cotton. They will be unable to breathe properly for a full two minutes only getting enough air to just barely allow life, through the stomach acid swollen cotton. After the two minutes have passed, they will begin to vomit up the horrible, choking material. Cards ranked 6 and lower will pass out at once when they are through, 7-Jack will be pitifully exhausted, Kings and above (including Jokers) will be dizzy, pained, and probably horribly angry...
The item goes to the first person to touch it. You two decide. As the one box is opened, another suddenly snaps itself open and whatever is inside is instantly consumed by flames in a matter of 5 seconds. It falls to the ground, charred and useless. When they return to the main room, they will find that the Human has regained her senses and there is a large knife through the skulls of both the Fox and the Bull. She gives them a little grin and whispers "Bye." cheerfully before vanishing with a small popping sound.
The door begins to open...presumably for the barman...))

Eurwen stood next to the bird mix as he opened the box. 30 seconds. He had no hands. That probably meant that she should grab it. As soon as it opened she snatched the object, praying that it wouldn't catch on fire.
And it didn't. Though she was surprised to find what she was holding. It was just about the cutest thing she had ever laid eyes on. Why the hell would someone lock away something this adorable in a magic box? She squeezed it for a moment giving it a rather cute face before snapping back to reality when she smelled fire.
She hadn't noticed the other box open, but now it was clear and whatever had been in it was on fire and beyond help. Oh well. She looked over to Kaden. "So I'm going to grab another box. They look sturdy enough to bludgeon someone with. And uh... thanks for the stuffed animal?" She nodded after a moment before activating her club ability to grab one of the boxes.
She lead the way to the main room, slipping the box out before hand. There was no way out but the way they came, unfortunately. When she was all the way out she looked up to see that the woman was awake.
And had stabbed the two others.
Oh... shit. She knew she should have tied them up. And now the guy was seriously dead. Shit. She opened her mouth in protest but the woman grinned and whispered "bye." If she ever saw that woman again she was going to give her a piece of her mind in the shape of a foot to the face.
Things were just getting better by the minute. Her eyes widened as she heard the door start to open. With a sharp movement she motioned to behind the door. "Quick." She scurried out of the line of sight to behind the door carrying the box and all. If worse came to worst they could jump the man. Hopefully he would be distracted by the dead bodies so they could slip out undetected.
Moderate Magical Ability: When activated, she can carry up to 200 lbs of extra weight for 24 hours straight, one day per week. She is left feeling tired and somewhat drained for the 24 hours following that period.

Kaden's head tilted, feathers lifting a bit in surprised amusement. A Doll? They popped open this thing for a doll? Luckily, Ivy seemed to be fairly enamored with the cute little thing. The thing catching fire nearby caused Kaden to jump, wings flaring and brows knitting uncomfortable. What the hell was going on back here?
When nothing else burst into flames Kaden relaxed and flashed Ivy a smile. "Sounds like a good idea and, heh, no problem." He tucked his lockpicking tools away and followed Ivy out into the main room... only to freeze upon seeing the Human up.
Oh crap. His beak dropped open in shock at the sight of the bipeds obviously dead and the human just grinning at them before promptly vanishing. Really, really, what the hell had he gotten himself into following this Ivy girl around??? The door creaked almost as soon as the Human vanished and Kaden swiftly ducked in with Ivy. He pressed himself flat against the wall, silencing Quicksand by stuffing a wingtip in his mouth. Kaden would rather be chewed than to allow his friend to give them away.
Now there was nothing left to do than hold his breath and hop to god they weren't noticed. Or, if they were, that this was finally someone weak enough that they could just knock over and run.

((FYI: Up to you guys to play the manager. You don't have to wait on me. I'm just here to stick things in as you go. Don't worry about "bypassing" something that you need, it'll come to you and the plot has enough flexibility to change as you go. Be creative and get out there. <3 I'll play Ayden as he appears, but otherwise, this mostly a you run plot. )~Nathalia

( <3 thank you Nat, XD we were holding off just in case. )
When the door opened Eurwen held her breath in anticipation.
When the man opened the door he found himself staring at two, very dead, bodies. He let out a strangled sound of surprise. After all, you generally don't expect to find people stabbed in the room you sleep in, shading dealings or otherwise. He left the door wide open, giving Eurwen and Kaden a potential chance to escape without being detected.
With box and stuffed animal balanced in ways that would have made an proper lady proud, Eurwen quietly scurried out of the room, praying that Kaden was going to follow her.
They had to act cool, at the very least, so no one would suspect them of anything. She carefully slipped over to the nearest table, setting the box on the chair, and hopping on top of it. At least she could pretend she was taller or something. Hopefully no one would notice the random addition to the room and Kaden would follow suit without question.

Kaden didn't breathe a word as they slipped out of the room, nor did he question Ivy's motives as she made her way discretely into the crowd. He may not have a knack for strategies and planning, but he could definitely see a plan in works and would be certain to play along to the best of his ability.
Thankfully, Ivy was easy to follow.
He hopped up into the chair with her, whispered reassurances to the still-groaning Quicksand, and dug up a treat to fill the beast's mouth with once he'd removed the tip of his wing. Ouch that had hurt, but thankfully he was already flightless and it wouldn't do him any harm to sacrifice a pinion to discretion. With the bander momentarily quiet, Kaden turned his attention back to his new partner.
"So, is that the sort of business you're usually involved in? Or was it all just spontaneous fun?" As he spoke, the muttbird kept an eye on the movements coming from the room. They were lucky to have gotten out of there relatively unscathed. ...Maybe he could buy that alcohol for dad after all? ...Probably not.

Eurwen found herself lightly petting the stuffed animal, dimly aware of the fact that she had acquired a new ability. She shifted on her seat so she was sitting on top of that as well. curling her tail around a bit to look a little less awkward. She periodically glanced at the door.
She chuckled slightly at Kaden's remark. "Spontaneous fun. A little more than I'm used to having." A smile spread across her face. "Hey, is your bander all right? I could try to ask the bartender for bandages or something when he comes out. It might keep him more distracted. I don't exactly thing the police showing up would be a good thing."
She bit her lip as she looked back at the door. The manger was taking an awful long time to come out. What was he doing? Looting the damn bodies?
"Ah, um, do you mind being my temporary partner for a bit longer?" she asked the bird with a sheepish smile.

Kaden gave an approving nod, unable to help the warm chuckle and the even bigger grin that had overtaken his beak. Just like that he let all the tension of their previous encounter with the three... what were they, mercenaries? ...just roll off his feathers. No need to dwell in the past, it was there for a reason.
"I'll raise ya that one." Partners? His grin cracked wider. "Most definitely. This is the most fun I've had in a while. Crazy fun, but still fun."
The grin faded a bit as he considered the bander currently poking out of his satchel. The leg didn't look good at all, but did he really want to risk getting involved with the bartender? He glanced back toward the room and then back to Ivy. "And yeah, he's alright, just... not happy. The leg really needs to be set and bandaged. If you can get something from the bartender that'd be much appreciated by the both of us."
Kaden would do it himself but he had a feeling that Ivy would be less conspicuous being a cute little mouse girl covered in flowers.

Bandages and something to set its leg with. Eurwen tapped her mouse fingers on the table for a few moments. Was there anything they could use for the bander's leg around them to set it? She highly doubted that the bartender had splints ready for people who broke their legs.
She watched the man looking more than a little ruffled slip out of the door. He shut it behind him, looking more than a little panicked. The mouse hopped off of her box-stuffed animal-seat and scurried her way through the bar.
Before the man could go anywhere she hopped up on the counter and made herself look as girlishly cute as possible. "Mister! Could you help me out? I need some bandages for my friend's bander. You wouldn't happen to have any on hand, would you?" She batted her eyelashes and tried to look as pathetic as she could muster. Hopefully he wouldn't notices the scratches on her tail.
The man was unimpressed. He grumbled something mildly incoherent before tossing a towel at her. "We're not a hospital, girl. Order a drink or get out." he half growled at her. Chocolate. Had he smelled that earlier? Had she been waiting around here this entire time?
Eurwen was able to catch the towel before it flopped over her face. She forced herself to blush, which was faintly visible through her fur. "Sorry to bother you." She said as she slipped off of the counter top with the towel in hand, the bartender making very little protest.
She waited for a few moments before she returned to Kaden, presenting him with a towel. "We can make a temporary splint with this and like... cardboard, silverware or something stiff." She lowered her voice a few notches, "Hopefully he'll be a little less suspicious just in case he smelled my chocolate scent earlier."

Half-watching Ivy as she spoke with the Bartender, Kaden lifted his bander out of his messenger bag and set the grumbling ball of tan fur on the table. His leg was twisted at an odd angle but there was nothing sticking through the fur. Good. He stuffed another treat in the bander's mouth before glancing back to Ivy.
She was fine. The man at the bar definitely seemed unnerved but, thankfully, not so suspicious. Kaden returned his attention to Bander mending.
In his bag he had some random items from his earlier heists and from toying with his telltale ability and he was able to locate a nice-sized piece of silver that would manage as a splint until he could get something better.
Once Ivy returned, her tossed her a grateful smile. "Thanks, Ivy." He glanced back toward the bar as she spoke, and nodded thoughtfully. Maybe they should buy a drink or something? People in the Outer Bazaar were always far more inclined to ignore the shady dealings of their paying customers... He'd ask about that in a minute, for now he'd focus on Quicksand. "Would you mind helping me with the splint real quick? Wings just... aren't that great for this sort of thing." He shook his head. "I can keep him still and quiet if you can handle the bandaging."
