The Mayor struggled desperately, his hands wrapped around the Queen's forearms to help himself breathe. "Your Majesty!" He whimpered, terrified by the swimming images of horrible teeth and the slowly spinning room as he gasped for air. He was then thrown backwards, over his desk and into the wall. Dazed, he didn't even have a chance to rise before the Queen had placed a boot heavily onto his chest and was hissing down into his face. Horror-struck, he attempted to reason, breath wheezing from fear and pain. "Your Majesty, we have not been...dealing with vanishings, this is new, please allow me to call in a reinforcement squad so that they can begin searching for your daughter!" Dalphus threw a pleading look to the painter, hoping that maybe, just maybe, the man would save him. "Your daughter will be my top priority, nothing like this was ever supposed to happen, please..."

Graeme found himself needing to duck quickly out of the way as the Mayor went sailing through the air to collide with the opposite wall. Gold-orange eyes stared at the Queen for a moment before he let out a shaky breath and adjusted his top hat, cane going back to the ground as it normally was. He turned to give an inscrutable look at the Mayor as he was being further threatened. He wasn't quite sure what to do, but he sure as heck wasn't sticking his neck out for a man who lied to him and brought him here under false pretenses. Nor was he getting between the very angry Queen and the man who she felt endangered her daughter.
And, he belatedly realized, now that he was thinking clearly again, was going to put a dark stain on his reputation if--no, when, this all got out and what his involvement with it had been. He muttered a curse under his breath and went to sit down in the nearest chair, carefully, not taking his eyes off the enraged Queen of...Diamonds, he supposed, a frown on his bill.

(Donnie rolled a 15 to regain some semblance of control.)
This man - this fucking man was responsible for the disappearance of her daughter to who-knew-where. Directly if he was lying, indirectly for bringing them here, Donnie didn't care. She had felt this sort of rage only a handful of times in her life. She generally found herself quite poor at reigning herself in once she'd passed a certain threshhold.
But for her children? For her awkward, beautiful Sophie? She would have to manage. Grinding the teeth together in a brief, horrific scrape, she leaned in very close to the Mayor once again.
"You lishen to me, and you lishen very carefully." Her teeth began to receed into their normal placement and she took just a moment to rub at her jaw, all the while glaring down at the man. "Sir. You are now officially on my shit list. Two women have been on this list before in the place where you are, and one of them died. You are not a woman. You are a helpless, incompetent idiot. Now, here is what you will do, you maggot. You will pull yourself together as best you can. You will take yourself downstairs and call whoever you need to in order to find my daughter - and for that reason only."
She leaned in even closer, just a breath away from that terrified face, and she growled. "I did not get this job by being a nice person."
Then she stood, tucked her clothing in tightly, and glared at the Mayor's face until he did what she demanded.

((The Mayor gasps pathetically, his body shaking in fear as the Queen's face comes within inches of his own. "I promise! Of course, your Majesty, of course! Please, come with me." Dalphus risked a glance at McDuck and turned his eyes away again as he stood, righted his jacket, and tried not to think about what he may have just done to any reputation the office may have had left. Honestly, after the Yarrow mix's last set of threats...she'd killed someone? He would do anything she wanted...or at least, make it look like he was, to keep her from getting to him again. "I'll need you to come with me so that the Police can take some of your fur for a Corvie spell that follows direct relations from...bits or something. Please, Mr. McDuck, if you wouldn't mind...don't want you to have to sit all alone, please."
Unable to force his tail from between his legs, he trotted in front of them, out the door, ushering his shocked looking guard after them. He leads them down to a smaller office on the main floor where three, nervous-looking Selkie Bipeds in officers garb are sitting around a desk talking in low voices. They jump up when the small horde walks in, staring about in confusion. "S'amatter, Sir?" "Just...just a small matter, Barnaby, please use that new finders' spell for her Majesty here."
The officer, a Weasel with a bad eye, gives the Queen a nervous bow before doing so and sitting back at the desk to preform the spell looking up notes on it as he does so. "Should only take a minute." The Mayor says, hopefully, rocking on his heels.
Something in the back of the room, in a far corner that no one is paying much attention to...begins to move.))

Despite the fact that it was not directed at him, the utter RAGE in Donnie's voice made Graeme shudder and clutch a little tighter at his cane. Well, thank the Suits -that- wasn't creepy. Oh wait... When the Mayor turned to look at him, Graeme merely raised a disapproving eyebrow. That sounded like a very lame excuse for him to come along. More likely, the Mayor was afraid of being too alone with the enraged Queen. Or he was, once again, hiding something. Graeme wouldn't put it past the guy. He was desperate, and desperate people did very stupid things.
Still...he saw nothing to be gained by staying here except a small amount of vindictive satisfaction, so he stood up and followed, though he didn't give the Mayor the dignity of eye contact as he walked down the hall. He stood toward the back of the room, watching the man looking up how to perform a spell that would hopefully find the missing children. "This spell HAS been tested, right?" he muttered to the Mayor in an undertone. So help him, if the man was using a spell that could have unknown side effects in a situation already as bad as this one...
The Duck just barely managed to catch a flicker of movement out of the corner of his eye (rolled a 19 for him to notice), and frowned, turning to face the corner more fully.

Donnie gave McDuck a silent point for having the balls to come with them while maintaining his gentleman's dignity. The Mayor was not so fortunate and looked a great deal less composed than either the fuming human Queen or the steely businessman.
"Very well," she agreed, following moodily and trying not to actively stalk. If she dared to take her Bipedal form, her hackles would be standing straight all along her spine and she probably wouldn't be able to help but bare her teeth at the officers. Who, at this point, certainly didn't deserve anything of the sort.
She stared around at the lot of them, once, before nodding to acknowledge Officer Barnaby's courtesy. "Do you need anything from me?" she asked shortly, unsure what 'bits' the Mayor had referenced earlier. A snip of hair? She could spare something like that. So long as this method worked, she would be fine. And once she had her daughter back in her arms, she could continue freaking out about her change of Suit and figure out what she was going to do to the Mayor.
(Rolled a 13 for her to notice - not enough.)

((The Policeman nods and quietly, with another bow, requests a few hairs of her Majesty's choosing, if she would please. Then, turns back to his work on the spell.
Mayor Dalphus, gives the pair a watery grin, nails tearing absentmindedly at the fluffs around his fingers as his nerves get the better of him. "Thank you, your Majesty, I'm sure we'll find your daughter soon, and yes; of course the spell has been tested, we wouldn't think of testing something new on her Majesty." He says, eager, but subdued in many ways. He seems to be...trying to keep their attention focused on himself, doesn't he?
The other two guards jumped up after McDuck came in and swiftly moved to the corner of the room where the something moved. He caught a glimpse of dirty white fur and what might have been an antler, before both were standing in front of it, trying to look inconspicuous. "Please, have a seat, both of you. What can I get you; tea, cakes, something else?" The Mayor asked, obviously distraught.))

Graeme frowned as he caught nor more than a glimpse of something before two guards were standing in front of it. Well, no one would ever accuse the Duck of being stupid,. and it certainly didn't take a genius to figure out that whoever or whatever was in that corner was something they were trying to hide from their guests. So the Mayor was -still- keeping secrets? The Highland mix felt his blood beginning to boil again at this. He had never been in such an absolutely ridiculous situation! Well, except for the time his rival had not-so-subtly tried to buy his company out from under him. Though that had been a lot more amusing and a lot less dangerous than the current situation.
He turned, shaking his head, as if just pushing off what he'd seen as a trick of the light, but he made sure to watch the corner for further signs of movement out of the corner of his eye. It was best to not let them see he was on to them. He frowned at the Mayor. There were a lot of things he could say to that...a great many, really. But he settled for, "Good. Because if you were to let more harm come t'the Queen's wee lass, Ah wouldn't be standin' in the way when she decides what tae do with ye."
He settled into a chair, making sure to choose the one closest to the corner where he'd seen the flash of antlers. Or what he thought might have been an antler. "A bit o'tea would be grand," he said politely, and smiled, though it certainly didn't reach his eyes. There was more going on here than they knew yet, he was sure of it. And one way or another, he was determined to get to the bottom of it.

Mikael all but slumped against the wall when they came into the room, attempting to stay out of way as best he could and allow Donnie to take care of matters. He felt absolutely helpless, frantic. Worried. He had a terrible feeling that the Mayor would be unable to find the children. How could he believe such a thing when the man could hardly keep his own affairs in order? Mikael hoped his cynical predictions were wrong.
He glanced around the room. The Mayor was nervous. It could be for a whole world of reasons, really, either from the goings on around him or Donnie's sudden outburst. But something about it put him on edge more than just the situation. He shifted his weight about, feeling himself sweat a bit. It really was the last thing he needed to be doing.. sweating. He'd always get up a good stink when he began to perspire.

Donnie plucked several purple hairs from her head and handed them to the Policeman without further conversation, merely nodding her acknowledgement of his pleasantry. She didn't want her mood to escalate further, not right now. Not while they might be able to figure out what had just happened to her daughter and her temporary charge.
She glanced at the Mayor and had to repress a growl as it tried to travel up her throat. She granted him another nod and a short, clipped, "Good." Morong. Complete and utter moron.
Flexing her fingers carefully, she accepted a seat and began lightly tapping her nails on the wood of the finely carved arm rest. "I think you've gotten me quite enough, thank you. I wouldn't dare tax your hospitality further, Sir." The words were lightly laced with enough Yarrow venom to make most men flinch. She continued to focus on the Police, failing to notice whatever was going on in the corner.
