Eurwen did not expect him to come over and comfort her.
Oh suits and everything hurt.
She bit her own tongue, hard, fuck this shit. She couldn't just sit here and wail like some bitch. She had to make sure Ayden was going to walk away from this. She reached up and opened him out, dropping a spot of blood in his mouth with her bloodied arm. Giving him a weak kiss before pulling away from him completely.
"I'm taking your tail off now, okay. We don't have time to waste. Suits only knows how fast this poison works." She said rather lamely.
She looked at his tail. She had to remove most of it considering where the bite was right. She whipped her tool belt off, stripping it completely of its pouches, and and tied it far above the bite, slightly above where she was going to actually cut. It was tight enough that it completely cut off his circulation.
All she had left was a clean utility knife. She wasn't going to wait to find a first aide kit. "Kamina!" she said. "Get over here and let Ayden smoke you."
She apologized before tearing off the Ayden's shirt and wrapping part of it around her own face and arm to stop her own blood from getting everywhere. She un-sheathed the utility knife, checking to see if there were any contaminates around before getting ready to cut. "This is going to suck, a lot Ayden, but I'm pretty sure Kamina is a decent painkiller since she's been oblivious to her own twisted ankle the entire time. You're not going to die on me, got that? You made a damn promise and after this is said and done you are keeping it."
She turned to the rest of the room briefly. "If you want to help me, find bandages that aren't contaminated. Now. And one of you who happens to be completely clean can hold Ayden down."
Suits. She could do this. She had studied medical books and memorized them for the sake of her brother. With her strength ability she could manually break his bone after she had cut far enough. Then she could cauterize the wound.
Without hesitation, she made the first cut.
(I'm sorry I am not going to describe the gore and details of amputation. Permission was granted to do such to Ayden. *salutes*)
---
Kamina jumped when her name was called. "Stay here puppy, please," she said before entering the room.
She skirted her way around all of the carnage, making damn sure she didn't touch any of the disgusting remains of something that could have been a person. She bumped lightly into Ayden with a mildly confused expression. "You wanted a smoke? Or do you just... want to uh... I don't know. I want to help."
Eurwen was covered in blood when she glanced at her. Wait. What was she doing?
She looked at Ayden questioningly.

Despite everyone NOT particularly staying clear of the man, Graeme's aim was good and his attacks hit their intended target. Since he was expecting some sort of counter attack (though not so MUCH of one) Graeme managed to dive off the desk to get out of the way of the worst of the water, though he still got soaked, completely ruining his suit and hat and getting all over his feathers. (Rolled a 20 for defense soooo). This was one of those times when he was very glad to be a Duck, and a ruined suit was a small price to pay for finally putting the poor suffering man out of his misery.
The hat, though, was a bit more upsetting, but Graeme just took it off and placed it on the floor, trying to wring out his clothes and ignore the horrible death of yet another individual in this room. There seemed to be a lot of that going around today. And more in the future if they couldn't find a way to...to...
As Eurwen was shouting something, the Highland mix abruptly tuned back into what was going on...and cursed in Highlands under his breath. Ayden had apparently been infected too. And apparently Eurwen was going to attempt to fix it by cutting off his tail. Graeme was about to offer his services, and then realized he was far from clean. The nasty water was all in his suit and sitting and mixing with the oil on his feathers, making him feel vaguely as though he was coated in slime.
"Ah'll look for bandages," he said, frowning slightly, though he wasn't sure if he'd find any in the room.

((Feel free to assume Ayden is holding still and dubiously smoking Kamina...though he's a bit...unsure about that. He'll stay as still as possible, though he's going to ask for something to bite so as not to scream, if McDuck has anything.
Speaking of McDuck, he'll find a good supply of bandages in the desk actually. Seems Timothy had a good stock there for taking care of the old Mayor. The Ace wandered after Kamina, but it's trying to stay out of the way.))[/i]

Oh suits, that guy had been -hit- by something. Mikael limped over, tail between his legs over the whole ordeal.
"Is there anything I can do? Perhaps.. I can help wash it off? It seemed it's own spade water was… tainted.. Maybe my own can… help a little.
He really had no idea if it would help or not, but the man seemed to be in grave danger, especially with how the one girl acted. She was -cutting- herself and feeding it to him! A special ability, perhaps? He swayed a bit anxiously, staring over at the corpse on the ground. It seemed awful, but there was a certain relief that the man was dead. If there had been an actual way to save him though… then the guilt would set in.
His Queen.. or former Queen was all but forgotten as he scrabbled about, trying to stay out of way but still be near enough to help if beckoned.

Graeme was surprised, and a bit relieved, to find bandages not only in the room, but in the very first drawer that he looked in! This struck him as oddly convenient until he remembered the old Mayor...Cillis had probably needed a lot of tending to before he completely lost his mind, while still in the early stages of the illness. How quickly did it set in? The thought brought a cold shiver of dread down his back, especially as he looked over at Ayden. He was careful to wash his hands with his own Spade water before picking up the bandages and bringing them over to Eurwen, handing them to her with a quiet nod. He admired her strength.
It took a lot of bravery to do what she was doing right now. More bravery than fighting, certainly. When Ayden requested something to bite down on, Graeme was about to offer his handkerchief when he remembered that it was now soiled as well, so he hunted around a bit more in the drawers until he found a cloth, like the sort someone might use to wipe down the desk. It was bound to be cleaner than the alternatives, so he handed this to Ayden and then moved to sit out of the way, eyes on Kamina. What an odd little child...

(( OOC: I was given permission to auto move Jovan. ))
Eurwen didn't look up. "Wash off Jovan if he's dirty and then help him hold Ayden still if you're needed."
She held her breath, and did her work. She snapped his bone as clean as she possibly could, cutting through the flesh that was left. She just needed to stay focused and not screw up. She pulled out a match of one of the left over pockets and heated the blade.
She cauterized the wound to the best of her ability using the mental. Then she wrapped it off with bandages. He pretty much had a stump left. She discarded the piece of dead flesh that had been his tail. She didn't need it anywhere near him. And considering she was now covered in god knows what she didn't want to be near him either.
"I pray that works, Just, please don't die." She whimpered. "Now someone please help him stand and walk out. Or carry him for the love of Suits. Don't let him get even remotely close to the mess on the ground. Please. I don't think I can actually carry him with my arm."
She slumped against the wall for a moment. Trying to find the rest of her words. "We can go... to the capital through a hole in the wall and find a real doctor. Or my brother. Ugh, just get Ayden out of the room and someone stay with him to make sure he stays still and nothing tries to kill him."
She needed to take care of herself next.
--
Kamina sat quietly and watched as Ayden smoked her. She was more than a little terrified when the cutting started. She blinked in surpise at the Ace that had followed her. Had she not told him to stay?
She nudged at him. "We need to get out of the way now," she said when Ayden had finished smoking her and Jovan was ready to hold him down.
She waited quietly in the corner with the Ace, lightly scratching it under the chin until Ayden needed help being moved. She'd follow behind, and slip out of the room to make sure that he stayed outside and still.
That was what she was originally supposed to do.

Her reaction was dismissive at best, but that was to be expected with what sort of work she was doing. He rather absently moved away from the two of them to find a cup, vase or some other glass in the room to use his spade ability to fill, bringing it back to the group and spraying it out his… nose? Well. It was one of the only places that he could actively point without issue. At least spade water was magical and didn't literall come out of his nose, right?
He was going to hand it over to someone, but nearly dropped the container, sloshing its contents out and onto the floor near the party (lol why did I even roll for this? A 7 XD) Disgruntled, he had to quickly fill it back up.
It had been a long and screwed up day for everyone. He sat the container near Jovan if he needed it but backed away, feeling very much like he was just in the way.

The young equine jumped out of the way of the mess as spells began to collide with the maddened Mayor, staring in horror at the sudden and terrible end to his life. He stood hesitantly to the side of the room, taking in all the death but mostly watching the tender exchange between the two lovers.
What a horrible first date, he thought briefly before Eurwen announced that she was going to remove Ayden's tail. He watched her prepare with a quiet hint of awe. So far he'd proven to be rather miserable under pressure but Eurwen was something else. It was admirable, really, and he'd strive to be better.
Nothing like this would ever catch him off guard again.
When she asked for help, he nodded and hurried closer, thanking Mikael for the water he offered and rinsing quickly to be able to help hold Ayden down. The work was tedious but after the gore he'd seen already it wasn't nearly as horrible as it could've been.
Once done, he gently wrapped his tentacles around Ayden and assisted the man in making his way out of the room. Out in the hall, he smiled weakly at Kamina and gave her a pat with one of his tentacles. She'd done really well in all of this.

(( Ayden gave Eurwen as steady a look as he could and placed a hand over his heart. "A promise I intend with every fiber of my being to keep, lovely one." He mumbled, lying flat and trying not to think about the horror or the absurdity of the situation. He gave Kamina a small smile and brushed her hair out of her face. "Yes, that's perfect, Kamina. Thank you, I apologize for the...inconvenience." The Mouse's muffled scream around the bit of cloth in his mouth was fairly incredible and he dug his fingers into his hair, trying to remain still.
It was at least as quick as it could be, not that he'd thought Eurwen would drag it out. The fact that he had been smoking Kamina would have caused him much grater discomfort had he been more aware of his situation. As it was, he was slightly loopy and on an adrenaline kick as his body panicked without him. Something in Eurwen's blood seems to kick in and the portion of the poison that did remain in him is wiped out, allowing the wound to clot with the cauterization. (1 for the poison! Woo.)
Kamina's Ace followed her, though it gave one long, last stare into the room at Timothy's body and whined loudly before allowing itself to be led away. Grame and Mikael's Spade water seems to have cleaned everyone up rather well, even Eurwen. Good thing they happened to be along, and Ayden's adrenaline kick, along with Kamina's high, will allow him to walk shakily once outside of the room. He gestures to the little door and grins, looking exhausted and a little...silly. "This one. Right here...takes you to the Outer Bazaar, outside of a quiet shoppe near the plaza." He smiled at them, seeming a little punch drunk, before pulling it open to reveal the blackness beyond. No sound comes from it, and they all clamber through. (I'm assuming. If you don't, then you remain in the Mayor's house and can look for things. )
The door opened onto a scene of complete chaos, on the far side of the mirror shoppe and right at the end of the bridge that Othello is pulling Rigsy over. Well, at least it's someone Eurwen recognizes, Kamina too.))~Nathalia
