The young boy heard the click of something locking. Some of his fur stood on end. Did that mean that someone was upstairs? Oh suits, there was something in the attic then wasn't there? He didn't actually want to be right about that.
When they came closer to the window the first thing he noticed was the trees. They seemed strangely close to the walls of the palace, and they couldn't have been there before could they? He slowly released his death grip on the Corvie as started to edge closer to the window.
Was it his imagination that the trees were see through? He tilted his head to various angles to disprove the ridiculous notion, and of course at one particular angle they did seem to be semi-transparent. For a few brief moments his terror was forgotten about as he went towards the window.
His hand brushed up against something, and he jumped. It was a simple spool of thread set on the window sill, along with a few other spools and something that may have been a shirt. He picked up one of the spools, the one that looked the softest so he could poke at it. The thought never occurred to him that any of the things could be magical. Who would leave that sort of stuff laying around anyway?
(( OOC: <3 I would really like the Thin, Fine Thread unless anyone protests. I'll describe what happens in the next post. ))

Davy nearly jumped out of his skin at the sound of something locking behind him… but was relieved when the bundles seemed only an amalgamation of items. Perhaps.. it would be okay to take a souvenir? The black thread certainly caught his eye; his mother would no doubt be able to make use of it in her sewing. It would be somewhat interesting to be able to take something like that home along with the crazy story to tell. Assuming no one else snatched them up, he'd take a spool of black thread and put it in his satchel.
"Dey be too much weird goin' on in this place. I mean… tha trees…" He stared out the window, psyching himself out and having to take a step back from the windowsill. "Maybe we should keep movin. Make sure we not locked in or some other such ill luck.'"
((I would like one of the black threads if that's ok. e_e))

Somewhere up above a door locked as the once loud voices seemed to fade away until it was almost eerily silent. Lucius's crimson eyes narrowed warily and he stepped away from the dark hallway, moving with renewed intent toward the group.
If something was afoot then he was of no intention to deal with it alone.
The Club Queen seemed to be quite intent on 'protecting' them, so why pass up a very good opportunity?
Nearing the window, Malachior was was surprised to find nothing more than a collection of items lingering on the sill and... trees? He stared out the vast window at a forest of trees that grew too close to the palace. Not right. The very sight of them made his skin prickle with discomfort.
And was it just him or had everything gone very, very still?
Warily he approached the items, looking them over curiously. What a strange, out of place collection... His attention was drawn primarily to the spools of thread and he finally reached out to take the last remaining spool of black thread to examine it more closely. It was a basic medical thread, he'd even used a similar brand in the past, and though it was oddly placed it had the potential to be very useful given their current circumstances. He tucked it into his pocket and turned to Davy as the young Midori spoke.
"I've got to agree with you... Something's off about those trees." He adjusted his glasses slightly before examining the trees once more. They seemed... oddly ethereal, as if not all there, but if the others saw them than certainly it couldn't be just a trick of the eye? He frowned before stepping away from the window. "Something was mentioned about the attic, correct?"
(I'll take the other black thread then, if that's alright.<3)

Sabe moved to the window seal first and noticed the items... but he found himself quite lucky already and decided that he would let the others grab what they could. It was only fair, no? He gave the look over the shirt. Sabe personally didn't care for clothing and yet it seemed that everyone had beaten him to the punch. It tingled in his hand and gave him a rather odd feeling.
He took the folded cloth and placed it in his satchel so it wouldn't get dirty from the blood that stained his body. He gave a mild shrug and listened to what they were saying, something about trees. He turned back to the window and caught sight of them and wondered about them as well. Why where they growing this close to the window... and why that close to the walls? Wouldn't the Court of Hearts deem them a danger and cut them down so that rouges and other would be assassins wouldn't have a easy way to get into the palace?
Well... he wondered what the wind was like today, since the windows were rather large.
He took the handle in his hand and pushed open the window to see what was outside, and how far the attic was.
"That locking sound seemed to come from upstairs... so needless to say, I do believe that the door is locked, unless you want to add Destruction to the list of crimes with Harm to Royalty and theft?" he said with mild amusement.
((O.o i was being stupid and didn't read thing correctly, XD... fixed now!...))

When Conall touched the thin thread it jumped. He let out a small squeak of surprise when it started to wrap around him. Oh crap. It wasn't going to stop was it. His eyes widened as he tried to move properly.
He was completely wrapped in the thread before he was capable of making another confused sound of protest. And then he was suddenly shocked. His fur tried to stand on end as he struggled to wiggle as the thing flickered between shocking him and not. Thirty seconds felt like forever.
The thread just went dead after that. Conall's fur was standing on end as he slowly backed away from the window. He turned to the others, vaguely aware of something in the back of his head. He swallowed, not really sure of what they had said about anything. Something about the attic and destruction?
"W-we could try to go upstairs. I mean... uh... c-can we just get away from the window?" He scurried over to Malachior's side.

Lucius twitched ever so slightly as Sabe opened the window. Personally, he felt they could see the trees quite clearly from where they stood! He made a faint hissing tch beneath his breath and, finally, spoke again.
"Do you intend to fly to the attic, Your Majesty?" With his wing in such a state it was obviously not happening, so then why was he opening it? To let the trees in?
Malachior jumped a bit as Conall did, blinking in surprise and frowning a little before the boy scurried over to him. "Are you alright?" He questioned softly as he placed a hand on the child's shoulder. A moment later, however, Sabe was opening the window with a mildly unusual comment. Did he intend to break down the door or was he suggesting they avoid the attic entirely now.
"I thought I heard something lock, but the attic may very well still be open... Not that I particularly feel the need to stick my nose where it doesn't need to be stuck." He stepped back from the window. Even if Sabe did intend to fly as Lucius had suggested, there was no way the others would be able to follow him. "I stand by the hope that we find His Highness Apocalypse soon..." Unless he was also Maddened as Xiven was but they currently had very few clear objectives to attend to.

he turned back to the others and realized that he was in the wrong this time. He released his grip from the door handle that would have opened it and stepped away. He had no issues with flying with two wings... but with four he could have carried them. He glanced at his right white wing and did notice that some of the glide feathers were missing, well not a few, but most of them. He gave a sigh and turned back to the others.
"Your quite right, I could have flew up there, but I wouldn't be able to carry anyone in this state." he said as he extended his right wing to show the large missing feathers. He gave a sigh and placed the hurt wing back. Why hadn't he noticed this before? Could it have been that he was in much pain and wasn't thinking strait any more?
He glanced at the others and realized that his judgment may have been flawed and took his free hand to run across his head some, "Lucius was it?" he asked ignoring the heart. "I believe that all the pain that I had suffered may be disrupting my judgments. Mind leading from here on out til I regain my sanity?" he said with a inclination of his head to the other.
