The Tove didn't like these people hovering around it. There were unfriendly people violating the personal space bubble it had set up. Not to mention that the people had made a ruckus and they were still lingering around. It hissed again wiggling disgustedly.
The pain was starting to get to the Esterberry. She didn't want to sit still and focus on it while someone neutralized something she couldn't particularly see in the pitch blackness. She grumbled something that the others probably wouldn't here as she slowly made her way off of the passed out Corvie.
She tasted the air again. There was a scent of a Corvie-Selkie was unmistakably indoors as well. So they could have easily been in the house laying in wait. She wasn't going to sit in the dark and wait for the other two to neutralize whatever they were talking about. "I need to get out of the hallway, I don't feel comfortable sitting in the dark and waiting for someone to bash me over the head.". Pressing her nose against the floor slowly made her way to where she thought the door was.
The dog mix bumped into the wall shortly there after. For a few long moments she fumbled for the doorway before practically tripping into the room. She found herself slumped awkwardly on the floor. In the dim light she could see a faint figure of a Card. A very small Card.
"Guys... I think... there might be someone in here."
(( OOC: Penny rolled a 17 to get passed the Tove which rolled a 7 at noticing her. The Tove rolled a 15 to lash out at the person who decides to touch it. ))

Hoping that the other two officers closed their eyes as per her request, Fetu fumbled around with the lantern for another moment. She stayed the same distance away from the little creature that now threatened her. After a short period of time, she finally achieved the desired result and lit the lantern.
She moved quickly forward while the creature was still hopefully stunned by the suddenly blinding sensation, jacket in hand. (Rolled a 9.) With the creature momentarily blinded, she managed to whip the jacket around it and yank it away from its master's prone form, which was half of the battle. The other half, knocking it out, didn't go quite as planned. As soon as it came back to itself, it began to struggle like a miniature snake-demon and then proceeded to light itself - and her jacket - on fire.
The others wouldn't even be able to see the flames within her spell's area of influence, but her short, pained shriek would be hint enough that something had gone wrong. The fire looked awful, a blazing inferno, and her hands began to burn. The fire began to travel up her body once again, though not as painfully as it might have - which she failed to notice at the time - and she tried for all of two seconds to put it out. (Rolled a 7.) This failed to prove at all effective.
She summoned her Spade water ability again, soaking herself, the jacket-covered Tove, and much of the floor at her feet. She also failed to hear the gist of Penny's call.
Lantern's Light: It casts a dull light that causes no pain to those sensitive to it, but can seem overly bright and even blinding to those who aren't.

The Goat heard Penny, but he wasn't sure how to respond. He wanted to get out too, but he still didn't know what Fetu was planning. He kept his eyes tightly shut and carefully didn't move a muscle until he heard the shriek. His eyes flew back open. "Fetu?" he asked, voice gruff with suppressed worry. He could smell fire, but he couldn't SEE it, and that was damn near enough to send him back on a one way trip down memory lane, but he gritted his teeth and forced himself to moved towards the scream. Of course, he wasn't expecting cold water to splash on him, and he sputtered.
By the dark (ha, irony) he wished he could SEE again! He shook his head, spraying water droplets everywhere, and moved forward a bit more. "Fetu...Penny said she found someone else." His ears went back in worry, and he strained to listen for anything coming from another room. He had no hope of finding where she was in the dark without further audio clues.

(( OOC: Kari took liberties. Hope you don't mind. ))
The Tove had regretted setting everything on fire as soon as the coat ignited. It let out a terrified squeak, flailing under the piece of fabric until the water quenched the flames. It let out a rather meek chirp as it slowly popped it's head out from under the wet fabric.
The poor thing had just wanted chocolate and this was what it got.
Petunia didn't hear Fetu's yelp as she fumbled around in the low light for candle or light switch or something. She'd make a note to buy one of those Corvie electric lanterns when she saved up the money. It took her a few long minutes and a couple of bumps and bruises before she found a candle and a match to light it.
Then she was faced with the challenge of lighting the match. On the bright side the lump that may or may not have been a card wasn't lunging at her. She finally manged to light the candle. It's small range illuminated the faint shadow of the card that was tied up.
"Oh great," Penny said as she processed the sight. Walking over to the girl she ripped off the restraint that was covering her mouth. "Are you all right kid?"

Sounds. There were sounds exploding all around her, and despite her best efforts, Shoshanna could not escape. She struggled against her bonds even more wildly for a period, stopping when the whole area was plunged into complete darkness. Over the frenzied pounding of her own heart, she could hear the sounds of a fight, of unfamiliar voices clashing with those of her captors. Terror. She had no idea who the newcomers might have been, whether or not they were here to help or rival criminals or... something else entirely. She just didn't know, and that was almost the worst part of all.
Unable to escape, the Skunk did the only thing she could think to do: Curled into a tight little ball until she waited for it all to be over.
Eventually, the sounds of battle subsided, replaced with quiet voices talking. They were too far away for Shoshanna to make out what they were saying, and since she wasn't sure if they were friend or foe, she curled up tighter with the hopes that they wouldn't find her.
Even from behind her closed eyes, she became aware of the fact that a light had gone on in the room, and someone was coming near. Her eyes opened, wide and terrified, blinking rapidly in the sudden brightness. Someone was coming close. They seemed to be wearing a uniform of some kind, and they didn't look like a danger, but when they abruptly ripped her gag out the girl let out a terrified shriek. What the officer said didn't matter, at that point, Shoshanna was too terrified to even think straight. "Please don't hurt me!!"

Disgusted, wet again, and holding a squirming, struggling bundle of Tove, Fetu clamped down on the makeshift jacket-sack and kept it close, muzzle pulled tightly in a grim expression. She didn't know how often it could light itself (and her) on fire, but she had a few more jets of water before she would try actually harming the thing. She didn't want to kill it, and she had a feeling that her superiors back at the station would be pleased to have it. Especially if it was stolen property or something like that.
When it seemed to go somewhat limp, she very cautiously watched the thing in her hands and saw a little head peek out. Staring at it warily, she reached with her forearm - the part less likely to be seriously injured if it bit her - and slowly nudged it back inside its wet confines. Hopefully it would take the hint.
Aberforth's words brought her out of her concentration and she blinked, head swinging around to the goat. "Oh... damn. Did she sound alarmed?" Unwilling to let go of the captive creature, she began making her way down the hall towards the open door. She could see well enough, and hopefully her companion would follow her. The Club criminal would just have to remain uncuffed a little while longer. The quills would keep him asleep, anyway.
Pausing before she left the hallway, she squinted her eyes carefully and then stepped forward. Yes, there was the end of her darkness spell. It was simply 'dark' as opposed to 'absolute blackness' and her eyes complained at the transition. "Penny...?"

Aberforth shook his head slowly, and then, still not entirely sure how much Fetu could see even in this darkness, he also answered out loud. "No...she just sounded a little worried." Though that was by no means an implication that they weren't in more danger. He heard the Chipmunk walking away and moved quickly to follow, not wanting to be left alone with the two unconscious criminals. Of course, was leaving them alone the smartest idea? What if one of them woke up, the spell keeping him under worn away, and came after their backs while they were distracted?
The Goat hesitated for the barest fraction of a second...and then he heard the shriek from the other room. He quickly hurried to catch up to the sound before even processing that the sound was too high pitched to have been by Penny herself. He half ran into the door frame, but once inside he found it was actually just the tiniest bit easier to see. Still very dark, but after the pitch blackness of the other room, it was an improvement. "Penny, what is it?" He could see the dim shapes of his fellow officers, as well as a much smaller form...he squinted so as to see better.

The Tove gave up when the chipmunk nudged it. It would have attempted to bite her but the amount of energy it had expended flailing while it was on fire. It allowed itself to be nudged back into the wet clothing with nothing more but a weak growl.
Petunia jumped slightly from the shriek. Great way to show thanks huh? Her ears pressed against her head as the girl cried out. Apparently she was a hostage or some something. She decided to put on her diamond charm, at least that would help a tiny bit. "Aww. Kid I know that I'm ugly and a mess but I'm not going to hurt you. I just couldn't really carefully take off your gag without the proper use of hands, see." She wiggled her paws to illustrate her lack of dexterity.
The voices of her coworkers made her ears perk. She slowly pushed the candle with her foot out from between her and child so she would be more than just a shadow. She turned to look at them. The candle light did very little to help her see them. "Hey guys. It seems like that other scent was a hostage. Does someone want to help me untie her?" she turned back to the child. "So what's your name sweetie?"
Basic Magical Ability: She can act charismatic and persuasive at times, whether or not she actually has the natural charm and grace to pull it off.

Shaking. Shoshanna was shaking so hard she was starting to feel as though her skeleton was going to vibrate right out of her body. The Esterberry wasn't as innately terrifying as others might have been (the Corvies who had captured her, red-bright on dark-black sent her mind spiraling back to the darkness of then), but she was still unfamiliar, and there was a whole set of other fears that came along with that. She tried to shrink away, but her movement was still rather limited, even if she was able to speak freely once more.
Then again... Her brother wasn't here.
He was the more openly distrusting of strangers, and in this moment, Shoshanna just wanted this to end. There was no real reason to distrust the woman, even if she did look strange. She and her friends had hurt the two men who had captured her, and that might have made them friends, in some odd way. Slowly, the Skunk's trembling softened, and she gave Petunia a small nod.
When she glanced towards the others, she had to fight not to yelp again. A Tulgey, and a monster with bones outside of its skin! Even if she had warmed to the Diamond ever so slightly, she was feeling very unsure about these two. She forced herself to keep calm. They were here to help. A little desperately, she looked back to Petunia, eyes wide and worried. "I'm T-Thothanna. Pleathe, I'm thcared." It was as hard as ever to get the words out, with her enlarged canines in the way, and her trembling did nothing to help her already-thick lisp.

Ugh, the candle. Fetu kept her eyes squinted mostly closed and moved towards the light, the Tove held carefully at arm's length. Now that it seemed to have submitted in some fashion, she didn't want to jostle it unduly and send it into another flaming panic attack or something.
The shape and form of the third body Penny had sensed made itself apparent rather quickly, from the small, trembling thing on the floor to the tremulous voice drifting up from it. Was that a lisp? Sounded like.
With exaggerated care, she moved forward and placed the bundle with the Tove on the floor, still as 'closed' as she could manage. "Keep an eye on that," she muttered to Aberforth. Then she hiked up her shoulder, shielding her eyes from the damn glare of the candle so close, and moved towards the child.
"Please hold still while I untie you," she said in a flat murmur to the child, reaching out with her dextrous hand-paws to begin fiddling with the bindings. Ugh... the child reeked a little bit, didn't she? Was that skunk? Great. "Also, if someone could get in touch with the station and call for a pickup, we've apprehended the pair of them. Pintel needs to be properly restrained."
