She fumbled in her small pouch that held the coins she had carried with her. She slowly counted them, as she had been taught, and thanked the stars above that she had brought enough with her. She placed the coins on the counter and awaited the equine’s return as she turned around to see who had come into the shop. She recognized him, he had also gone on the task that the queen had given them some time ago, but she only knew his name and rank. He had gone with that feline whom was in the basket when she had first been brought to the palace. She wondered how their task had gone compared to her’s but she decided to not ask as it was not the time or the place, also not to mention that for some strange reason he intimidated her and caused her actions to have more of a shy and awkward impact than they already did. She just turned around quickly thanking her genes quickly in her head that she was blue and not white and was able to hide her blushing cheeks.

Cauter waved the Sorgairian bird and the green Equine off with a small smile, he had enjoyed their company...especially that other Equine, what a delightful fellow.
He turned to the other bird again, the Selkian...and heard the price he offered. He actually burst into laughter.
"My dear sir, surely you jest. I'll give you another chance to throw out a price before I'll only sell it at the tagged price."
He waited to see what the other would do, eyebrow raised, inquisitive and interested.

All right then. With that amusing response how could he refuse a challenge. Then again he might as well get to the point. He did want the goblet, it was too fascinating to give up. What would be the greatest some he could subtract without having to walk away from the deal.
Choices, choices. He had money to spare, but was he willing to part with it so easily? Fifteen or Ten? Or perhaps less? The choices of making a business detail were endless.
"You caught me," He grinned and the shop keeper. Lord he hoped this worked. "How about I offer you 47. That's 8 away from the asking price. I think that's reasonable for both of us." The sparrow had an air of confidence, or so he hoped it came off as confidence. It seemed reasonable. He wasn't going higher, period. Eight was a strange enough number that it may be enough to distract him from noticing how close it was to ten. He highly doubted that a clever man like this would fall for that, but it was worth a shot.

The mouse entered the shop excited. He had worked extra hard to gain enough points for a creature that had caught his interest in a conversation he had happened to overhear on the street. Walking around the shop he searched the different items that were on display on the shelves. Coming to the counter he saw that there were cages filled with interesting creatures. Scanning the different creatures he spotted the one that he wanted. He read the card which was next to it which stated, ‘ID: ST004, Species: Slithey Tove, Gender: Male’. Yep, this was the one he had heard about. When the purple bipedal horse behind the counter turned his attention to him, after talking to another creature, the mouse was slightly taken aback at the creature’s appearance. The horse appeared to have more piercings then he had toes. Swallowing, he greeted the shop owner with what he hoped was a friendly smile. “Hello. I was wondering if you would not mind telling me a little more about that fantastic creature behind you, the ST004 one.”

Cauter smiled and gave the Sparrow a small bow at the waist. Smiling happily and giving the other a small wink, he picked the chalice up and moved over to the cash register, one eye surreptitiously marking the fact that a fiery mouse had just entered his store...busy days...]
Delightful.
"Thank you for your business, good sir. I do so hope to see you again, good luck with your marvelous item. I hope it doesn't find its way back to us too soon." He chuckled as he wrapped it in thin gauze and placed it into a padded box before handing it over to the Selkian.
He wished the Sparrow a good day and wandered over to the Morganberry standing, seemingly mesmerized by the pets.
"Interested in some of our fine friends?"
He listened to the inquiry, nodding.
"Of course, of course. He's the more friendly of the pets we have in right now, an interesting little critter, we have yet to allow him to bond with anyone. He has a few small powers, and an affectionate side, but other than that..he's not that special. I'd be willing to let him go for 30... Sound fair?"

Minh had originally wandered into the bazaar to pay a visit to Ashwin, hoping to possibly persuade the breeder into parting with some of his precious stock—no questions asked. Not that she really had any hope of convincing the otter of such, but it was always nice to have these little delusions to see her through the lower moments of her research.
On her way there, however, she’d been distracted by the dilapidated building rising up above the multicolored booths of the bazaar—and, more importantly, the aura of something of questionable legality. She entered, lulled by the glint of un-foretold treasure.
Minh had always had a bit of a weakness for thrift shops, even if she wasn’t planning to buy anything. And while the items she crossed paths with were interesting, there was nothing she could really warrant spending money on—until she stumbled across the cages. The Mome Rath reminded her a little too much of Monty, but the Slithey Tove 003 was immediate love. Forty-five was a little steep of course, but she was sure she could talk the shoppe owner down a bit. Yeah.

The critter was friendly in nature? . . . The mouse tilted his head in uncertainty. That was not quite what he was going for in a critter. However, the fact that the critter would bond and that it had at least some small powers might be worth it. Looking at the Slithey Tove he analyzed the situation again. The blue Tove wriggled in his cage, seemingly enjoying himself. He really did have a liking for the critter, for what reason he could not decipher, and 30 was not a bad asking price. Debating his choices a little, he hesitated only a moment before deciding to go ahead and get it.
“30 sounds like a fair price to me,” he said to the shop keeper, nodding his head in agreement. “How exactly will it bond?” He asked even as he reached out a paw, which was covered by a glove, handing over the coins that would retrieve him the new pet.

Theofilus graciously gave the equine his money after counting it out quickly. He was sure he had the proper amount. He couldn't help but smirk at the comment. He would be careful around the goblet, and her certainly wouldn't let anyone touch it but himself. He thanked the shopkeeper before slipping out of the store.
A smile graced his beak as he walked down the busy streets. It was a good thing he had decided to come to the Bazaar. With a prize like this, it made his day just a bit brighter. He would probably lock it up behind a cupboard so no one would be able to touch it but him. He could only imagine the horrible results if someone in his family accidentally poured the wrong thing into the cup.
He would avoid disasters. The sparrow ultimately figured it would be best to be honest with his family at least. That way they wouldn't do anything stupid. He had a feeling that his children would be unimpressed anyway.
